Mind-blowing bargain

Okay, we have....well, I'm ashamed to enumerate the number of sets of dinnerware. Suffice to say: need a sit-down for 16. everybody gets silver, and, oh, I dunno....8 courses (I'm not kidding). Got it. And yet. I'm in love with this stuff. First, food looks GREAT on it (that matters--remember?) Second, it's in that sweet spot between being sturdy and light (no judgements, but some of our Williams-Sonoma stuff is just a bit clunky). Meanwhile the price: INSANE. Highly rated.

Best value and nice weight

Heavy weight, beautiful, perfect for a party, and the best price I could find! I searched all stores for the basic white dinner plates. These were the best value and these plates are perfect for party or gathering.

Great value

Great purchase. I have used these once and washed these twice with out any damage to the finish or staining. I have people over all the time and i wanted to go a step above plastic flatware and paper plates so these are quite helpful in that regard. I hate washing dishes more than anything, but with the frequency that I have guests over for dinner parties,etc. it was getting to be pretty wasteful. These also help class up any casual occasion such as a bbq or dinner party. I am happy with this purchase, and would buy again.

Can't find anything bad to say....

Purchased a set of six for a small get-together and not wanting to breakout the "good China!" These plates were perfect. So good, that I'm ordering another set. They're bright white, soft-glazed (no burrs or rough edges), and seemingly durable, though I haven't had them that long. Excellent quality for a very good price, though kinda wish they didn't read "Amazon" on the bottom. Otherwise, no complaints here.

I was looking for a replacement dinnerware set as my house set was bought a good five years ago and was looking rather tatty, so it was time for it to go. After looking at many sets on here, from the pricier to the cheaper I was swayed by elegant white finish of this set, The price I wasn’t too bothered about, but when I noticed the price I was rather delighted. I ordered happily having already experienced the quality of the Amazon Basics brand and awaited my orders arrival. My dinnerware set arrived extremely well packaged and there was not one casualty. And The pristine whiteness of the inner allows me to match any food I want and they are extremely comfortable to hold and not too heavy, nor too light. In general , they are perfect for everyday dinners!

The products that come under the amazon brand are of good quality, and these no different. They must have some type of middle manager that inspects potential products to make sure they are not something consumers will be disappointed in. Good price for sturdy dishes. They even have a little Amazon logo on the underside. Since purchasing a smattering of amazon stock in '02, I am happy to buy their products.

Grate Value

Great plates for the money. Great value. Just one thing. Notice the lip is a bit wide on these plates. The shallow center is narrower than expected. It might not be a bad thing since it may lead people to serve themselves less food. :) The plates are quite consistent in size and shape on all the plates I received.

Good plates

My bf and I recently upgraded our dishes from college, and were surprised at the quality of these plates. They were much, heavier, thicker, and substantial than our previous plates. I love the simplicity of them, and the shape of the bowls (that come with the set that I also purchased). There is a slight discrepancy in the plates, but nothing major, just somewhat annoying if you're picky. One or two of our plates were deeper than the others. We are still super happy with them.

Simplify your life and buy these.

My husband has very large hands and is not particularly dexterous. Needless to say I have a lot of broken dishes. Amazon Basics are a great inexpensive alternative for replacements. The white restaurant style always looks good no matter what you are plating or the colors of your table setting. Simplify your life and buy these.
