Get away from plastic containers!
Wanting to move away from plastic storage, I have purchased multiple sets of these pyrex storage sets and used them exclusively for the last few years. Huge pros are that you can microwave them (though leave the lids off), freeze them, they are easy to see the contents in the fridge so leftovers don't get lost (I use removable painter's tape to label them as well) and I think they look nice enough to set on the table for an evening's dinner. In fact, I will frequently serve them in the storage container, and then cover and put in the fridge. Over the year's some of the lids have gotten a little warped, or ripped. Not unexpected with the amount of use they get. I was pleasantly surprised to see for a very reaonable price, you can purchase replacement lids directly through Pyrex. This particular order is a nice set with multiple sizes. I gave one set to my mother-in-law for Christmas, and she used them all that same day to store the leftovers from her Christmas dinner!

No more jumble of containers
My mess of takeout containers and random plastic ware is no more. I have this lovely set, and I am never going back to plastic! These look nice in the fridge or freezer, are stackable, I can see the food stored inside, they reheat great and are pleasant to eat out of straight from the container. I do not microwave the lids, as my beastly microwave warps things. I would not say the lids are totally 'leakproof'? For my fridge and food storage needs, they are perfect, but if you are looking for a container to pop into a bag to take for your lunch? These may not be the best choice as they could seep a bit. I have stacked them in a cooler for taking to a tailgate and had no problems with any leaking but they were stored pretty level the whole time. I like these enough that I would give this set as a gift to someone for a wedding or housewarming!

So far so good!
I was really worried about other people reporting the glass breaking and I almost didn't buy them! I'm so happy I did and we use them all the time. I treated them so carefully at first. Now these suckers go through the dishwasher, I'll have them with left overs in the fridge and then place them straight into the microwave for reheating. No cracks or explosions! Some of the lids fit a little more snug than others. Also found it weird that some have completely clear glass, but then others have that slight green tint. That doesn't bother at all though. Very pleased!

Skeptical over other reviews, but NO REGRETS!
i was skeptical to order these due to other reviews, but i went for it anyway. When i moved out of my parents house and on my own my mom gave me all her old (10ish years old) glass pyrex Tupperware. Over the years i have also acquired quite a bit of plastic Tupperware of course. Years later now, i have a family and needed more! I hate the plastic because it breaks and cracks, stains, and just overall doesnt last. (We do not have a dishwasher, i wish all by hand) the plastic is good to keep around for sending family or guests home with leftovers, (since you know it will probably not be returned to you haha) but i dont like using it for ourselves. My husband is pretty rough of everything, and i have broken countless glasses by droping them in the sink when doing dishes. These have held up 100%! I have only dropped one (so far) and it did NOT break. We have used them in the fridge and microwaved in them MANY times so far. NO ISSUES ANS NO REGRETS AT ALL!!

I've had Pyrex glass containers for years
and these are the same as the older ones I had... with nicer colors for the lids. These aren't necessarily going to hold liquids inside if you turn them upsidedown and that seems to bother folks... not me, the lids stay on fine. Never had an issue but if something slips, it's generally just at an angle and I've never had a leak from that. The sizes are wonderful, this is such a nice set. I've dropped them on a harder floor in the kitchen and they've survived. Still a Pyrex fan.

This Pyrex 18 pc set is well worth the price.
I am very happy with my purchase of these Pyrex Simply Store Meal Prep Glass Food Storage Containers (18-Piece Set, BPA Free Lids, Oven Safe),Multicolored simply store meal prep containers. I have used these containers: as mixing bowls; to bake casseroles in the 6 cup rectangular piece in a toaster oven, I store leftovers in them and have frozen food/leftovers in them. The lids fit tight and are well constructed. I wash everything in the dishwasher - lids top rack.

Best Glass Storage!
Fantastic! I recently decided to switch out all of my plastic containers for glass storage. I read tons of reviewed and even tried a few brands. Pyrex far and away beats the other companies. The containers are made of thick durable glass and the lids are deceptively secure. I'm so glad invested in this set. I'm actually going to purchase a second set. If I had to pick one fault I would say that the long square ones aren't super tall so it's hard to use it for storage unless it's something specific like brownies or something rather flat, if that makes sense. If you're thinking about these or thinking about switching to glass storage, Do IT!!! Everything tastes better eating from glass, no stains, no retained smell, nothing.

No More Plastic!
Moving away from plastic containers can be spendy, but this affordable set helped us transition. The glass is thick and durable. The lids fit tightly and have no problem with the dishwasher on the top rack.

Really durable.
I have these one for a while. Actually bought 2 sets of them. Over the time the caps can get a little loose, freezing and heating (microwave) can do that, but they work great for a long period of time. I get replacement caps once a year for the ones I use the most. They are great to make food prep for the week and hold the temperature well, either one (hot or cold).

Microwave use is touchy
I love the dishes. And my lid on one of the dishes has mostly recovered. The fact is, the plastic lids are very touchy in the microwave. At first I assumed I ruined a lid. But it has mostly recovered. I happen to love Pyrex. I have taken more care not to use the lids in the Microwave. Great product. Look at all you get for the price. I mean what a bargain. Oh and I also purchased them for my daughter once I found out how good they are. I got her the rectangle or square set for better fit in refrigerators.
