Man the profile of this sucker when it is stowed is on point, could not be smaller without breaking physics or not functioning at all. The construction seems very good, the design seems good. Very happy I bought this. It even looks cool. My only complaints might be the detachable sockets, they work fine and everything just would love this as a 2 piece unit as opposed to 3(i think) including the socket. I don't need the socket personally as my 19mm size is one that is built in, but the socket does keep the folded position nice and tight to prevent any rattling that might occur otherwise. Anyway that is as negative as I can be on this, very happy with it. Replaced my standard X shaped iron and provides more leverage while also being able to provide 100% equivalent function of the X. Again, awesome item.

This thing is so amazing that I'm compelled to write a review. It's compact, built well, designed well, pretty, and versatile. I was able to replace my whole wheel bearing primarily because of this tool. It integrates well with all my other tools, having a 1/2" socket receiver. It happens to be 1 foot long so it's easy to calculate torque based on weight applied. Very strong, was able to use it creatively without any bending. Totally worth having.

As far as affordable, easily portable lug wrenches go, this one seems pretty good. Especially compared to the cheap combination metric/standard (SAE) wrenches found around the same price at local stores. I have what appear to be unusual lug nuts installed by Discount Tire with a set of steel wheels—they are very deep and don't have normal, flat sides. Instead they are sort of round and the wrench/socket engages only in the grooves. So what happens with the typical combo lug wrench is it just slips right around the nut. Yet when you put a specific 17mm socket on, it's fine. In fact this wrench engages very snugly on the lug nut. Better than even my impact socket. You should definitely practice the assembly ahead of time so you are comfortable and confident before you are trying to change a tire on the side of a highway at night in the rain. Only tested the fit and practiced the operation of the wrench before stowing it in the back of my Jeep, so cannot speak to the long term durability.

Everything these guys make is quality. I have a power GRID device from this company and it's awesome. Decided to try this lug wrench because there's not much room on a tight flatbed trailer I use for work so this looked like it would tuck into the tube steel frame until I need it and it fits perfectly. First impression is this thing is super solid. It's heavy for its size. Opens up and snaps together in 5 seconds. No prob with heavy torque. It's not going to bend. Per tight spaces, there's nothing on the market like this. Probably going to pick up a few for Christmas gifts.

I had gotten a new set of after market wheels for My Ram 1500 and the installer tells me I need to retighten the nuts in a few after 20 miles or so. The new wheels had a much narrower hole for the nut then did my stock wheels , so I quick looked online found this set got them in about 2 days unwrapped and went straight to the driveway. They are strong , by being able to the inserted bar either halfway in or 1/4 of the way in I got good leverage , they have 3different lug sizes, that will come in handy when I’ve gotta put the factory wheels back on for the winter , for the money great Little tool

Cross-bar lug wrenches are nice to have for loosening wheel nuts as well as then spinning them off in short order. So I got this to stick in the trunk of my Toyota for when its needed. The metric sizes are right for my car and I successfully tested the wrench on a 21 mm lug nut. The compact bag thing is very well made, and after I figured out how to get the silver bar out of the center of the red bar, I am hooked on the design ;-) I was a little skeptical of the L-shape configuration option, but tried that too and it worked very well. I can definitely recommend this, especially for the case where you want to store your tools compactly and don't mind a little assembly. Photo is attached showing it together with a few other tools for comparison of size/etc.

I found that most repair and tire shops over-tighten lug nuts with their air impact wrenches. Normally I wouldn't know or care, but I was recently victim to a pothole on the highway, and unable to loosen the lug nuts with the wrench supplied with my 2011 Volvo S40. I am very capable of changing a flat tire, but felt helpless waiting for AAA to show up (well over an hour). I've been told tire shops are reluctant to tighten lug nuts to published torque specs as they may have a tendency to loosen slightly once you drive on them the next few days, and would need to be re tightened (or at least checked) - some say this is even more likely with aluminum wheels (I honestly don't know for sure). When the young man from the nearby AAA garage showed up, his cordless impact wrench was unable to loosen a single nut. With the help of a cheater pipe, he used his traditional 4-way lug wrench to loosen the nuts. I didn't want to experience that helpless feeling again, so I did "The Google" search thing, and looked into getting a 4-way lug wrench and cheater pipe of my own. That's when I found the LugStrong wrench. This is by far the best designed lug wrench I've ever used. Quality made and an impressive design. As soon as the LugStrong arrived, I tested it on several lug nuts on my Volvo, and although a few were extremely tight, I was able to confidently loosen them. The bar is cleverly designed to hold the sliding cross-bar in place whether at the extreme end for added mechanical advantage (in place of the cheater pipe), or in the center position in order to spin the wrench. It's optimal use is for 19mm (3/4") and 21mm lug nuts. It also includes a 17mm socket and 1/2" bit for standard sockets to accomodate *any* size lug nuts, but these two options do not offer the same degree of leverage you may need for stubbornly tight lug nuts - so be aware of that. Bonus: one bar slides into the other for extremely compact storage, and comes with a sturdy storage sleeve.

Nice quality. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks like it's very well made. UPDATE: I purchased this item on March 2018 and now I am updating my comments on November 3rd 2018 I pulled over yesterday morning to help a guy on the shoulder on Interstate 5 as I was heading to work. It turned out all he needed was a lug wrench. He already had the car jacked up. He was lucky to say the least. One because I had a little extra time heading to work yesterday and two because I had this multi socket size wrench. I drive a big SUV and he had a small passenger car. Obviously my OEM lug wrench would not have fit his lug nuts. I pulled out this lug wrench, still brand spanking new and helped him remove the nuts. They were so unbelievably tight that we couldn't take them off using our arms. He decided to stand on it with one leg, which I didn't appreciate, but we didn't really have a choice. POP! We finally loosened one nut. I let him stand on the next four nuts to take them off. The last one I thought would not come off and I was afraid he was going to strip the nut, and then we would really, or actually he would really be in a jam. POP! The last one came loose. We swapped out the tire. Tightened the nuts to a reasonable torque by hand and off he went. I looked at the wrench it appeared to be as good as new. No scratches or anything. I forgot to mention, for a second I thought we didn't have the right size because I tried all the colored sockets, but the silver one on the silver bar was the right size. I think it is the smallest size on the tool. And one last thing. I forgot that you can assemble this tool to get more leverage, but since I hadn't used it I had forgotten about that. Maybe he wouldn't have had to stand on it. Oh well. I felt good helping the guy out at 5:30am and I was happy the wrench did its job perfectly and without a scratch. I'm buying another one for my other car.

This is likely the best $19 I will ever spend. After having tried to help a coworker fix her flat by first removing her tire with both her OME lug wrench and mine, the nuts were too tight for the tool. She had to have a service fill her flat and limp to the store as opposed to a quick change to her spare. If I had the Lug Strong she would have been set. Tried this out the moment I picked it up on my truck's tires that were air wrenched on 8 months ago and the power mode whipped them off like nothing. There is no reason not to spend the money and toss this in your vehicle for those "just in case" moments. Your spare tire is only useful if you can remove your flat tire to begin with.

Post 3 Month Evaluation - After carrying the GTE lug nut wrench in my Jeep for daily driving and using a couple of times to pull off the tires (1st time on the trail off-roading in Big Bear, CA.2nd in the driveway to work on the Jeep) I really like this product. I like the compact design of the tool and case. It fits perfectly in the Jeep JK/JKU factory cargo/tailgate space that houses the factory scissor jack and factory lug wrench - without inhibiting the plastic cover or cargo floor lining. I especially like how it doesn't rattle when collapsed in its case. When I needed it worked perfectly. My only concern is the 1/2" universal bit that is included can be easily lost if not being used and not set aside properly. I plan on buying another one for my daughters Jeep so yes, I recommend the purchase of this product.
