Great Product and Wonderful Customer Service

I really love these crochet hooks. They are so easy to hold and the hooks are smooth. Getting older makes the original hooks a bit difficult to hold so I was very pleased with the comfort and ease of these hooks. Thanks to these hooks, my crochet project went quickly and smoothly. The case is an added plus as it keeps everything together and easy to find the hook you need. There is a pocket with scissors and needles included. The case is well made and pretty so would work great as a gift. I received a nice email from the seller to let me know they appreciated my purchase and what steps to take if I had any problems. No problems here. I'm a very satisfied customer and have recommended this product to a friend.

Excellent Customer Service!

I've been crocheting for many years, and I've avoided using padded hooks. My old hooks were fine. Until I spent too many hours trying to finish a blanket on a deadline, and my ring finger became so sore from the hook I had to force myself to sit down and crochet! In desperation, I went out and bought one padded hook just to try it out, and it was great! Then I found this set online, and I couldn't stop myself from ordering it! The hooks are so comfortable it's hard to believe. The case is a hard case, the hooks fit nicely inside, and I wasn't expecting all the little notions inside! In a removable zipper pouch! Best part - one of the items in the pouch was defective, and when I contacted the seller, I received a response almost immediately. They sent me another one, very quickly, and I'm a very happy crocheter! I would definitely buy from them again, and this set would make a nice gift for your favorite crocheter!

VERY Pleased Customer!

I have purchased a handful of other sets with cute cases, but I've been a little disappointed with each product until now. I've been gifting other sets in the past to help encourage others to start crocheting. Now I feel bad because I've finally found the case that will truly inspire them! The ergonomic hooks are clearly marked with the appropriate sizes and are easy to use, the detachable pouch (genius) snaps in and out easily, and the accessories include everything a beginner crocheter needs to start their first project. The best part of this product is that, compared to other cases, this case actually does what it should! While other cases seemed to be sewn together hastily, you can tell a lot of care went into ensuring the elastic a were sewn carefully to allow you to slide the hooks easily (even with one hand), yet the hooks still stay in place. The case is made to close with a zipper, so I was worried that the zipper might not open and close easily. I can assure you that the zipper opens and closes smoothly. I'm upset that I found this set after I already gifted numerous other sets to my friends and family, but I will probably gift them again with this product so they can use the others as their backup sets. My only recommendation/wish is that the cases come in additional colors and patterns. Pink, gray, green, or purple are nice colors and chevrons are just as cute as polka dots. If I want to continue to inspire other crocheters among my friends and family, it would be nice to be able to quickly identify which case is mine so I don't take someone else's case home. I definitely don't want someone to mistakenly take my case home! Thank you for a very well-made product!

Excellent Starter Set

I ordered this based solely on the Amazon recommendation as I had just decided to take up crochet and had never hooked a stitch in my life. I'm still not even sure I'm using that terminology correctly. While I waited for it's arrival, I went to Worthless*Mart and got a set of standard metal hooks just to get started. I almost stabbed two dogs, my couch, and my own eyes out before these arrived. Now, a week later, I'm 17 rows by 7 feet in on an afghan. My hands don't hurt anymore and the only time I've wanted to stab something has been video game related. In all seriousness, I have carpal tunnel and was told that crochet could help make it better by working muscles other than what I typically overwork at my day job. After the first two days the pain I was experiencing made me think it was a lost cause. Now the only time I have to stop is when I get bored. I can't speak to the bundle of gadgets since I have no idea what they're used for, but the I hook I use and the scissors have greatly exceeded any expectations or hopes I had. I paid full price for this item and was neither asked nor compensated for my review.

The hooks are very comfortable to use although you may have to adjust the way you hold your hooks slightly from the way you hold a non-ergo hook. The end of the hook functions perfectly with no snags and proper gripping to pull the yarn through your knots. I use the "J" quite a bit and wish that the kit would have included a "K" as I am nearly blind and need the larger size now; but, many of the girls in our Prayer Shawl Ministry use the smaller sizes and love them. (I have squeezed in a "K" into my kit quite comfortably.) The case and accessories are wonderful and very well thought out. It keeps everything at your finger tips if you are traveling or working on your projects away from home. I like the metal darning needles better than the plastic ones that come with the kit; but, the plastic will do in a pinch and they have a nice, smooth finish as well. I substituted my metal needles which came in a nice little tube for the plastic ones and donated them to our group. (The darning needles are not for sewing; you will need sewing needles for that.) The darning needles come in the three most popular sizes are in the carry pouch with the rest of your accessories. The accessories are everything you could want or need...place markers, tape measure, needle sizer, the list goes on. This is an amazing and very affordable kit...better and more complete than the $75 kits I have seen elsewhere. I have not had any problems with the needles coming out of the grips; but, figured if I did I could always put them back in with a drop of glue. The rubber handles are every bit as good as the more expensive ones. I bought two kits to test out...one for me, and one for my friend...and will be buying several more for our group for Christmas gifts.

Could not be happier!!!

Let me start off by saying that I had my other crochet hooks stolen. I know right??!!! Who steals crochet hooks??? Anywho... I ordered these because, let's face it, I had a case that consisted of really tiny hooks that I never used so I opted for this kit. I LOVE IT!! The cute little markers, the needles, the scissors, it's fantastical! I love the way these hooks feel in my hand. They are so much better and a lot more comfy than just the metal hooks. If you are using just metal hooks, all I can say is... THROW EM OUT!! I highly recommend this kit not only for the super nice hooks and neat little goodies, but the case is really adorable!! I got the blue with white polka dots and it's a hard case which makes it durable and sturdy. Do your hand a favor, order this kit 😆👍

Great hooks in some ways

These hooks are awesome. They are easy on the hands while crocheting. My hand used to fall asleep and the thumb would start to ache. Not with these hooks. Some hooks have the ergonomic area start well up the shaft but not these, it is right where it should be to make it easier to crochet. So glad I found these. Do wish the set included sizes above J. I use a K and sometimes L for some things and have never used the smaller sizes. Otherwise this is a great set. Have to add that after using these for awhile I noticed that the size hook printed on the handle is wearing off. If I forget what size is what color I will be out of luck. The size showed be pressed in.

Crocheted Hats and More: the birth of a lifetime skill!

I gave a set each of these beautiful hooks to 2 of my senior high school crochet students. They needed a product to enter in a regional entrepreneurial competition and last year, as Juniors, they loved my suggestion of learning to crochet and make a hat. They won second place for marketing. This year they won FIRST PLACE for having expanded their business so much in one year. During last Christmas they handmade and sold over 50 custom hats, many with their own handmade pompoms! They were thrilled to tears when I gave them these hooks and are now business partners creating custom made hats in every color and size from infants to adult. Their plan after graduation is to open their own Etsy store online and continue to grow their product line. I couldn't be prouder!!! Watch for them... They are "A Little Twisted ~Twisting the Generations", a reference to twisted yarn taught to these beautiful young women by a Grandmother of 7!

Comfortable, reasonably priced, great purchase

I researched (and researched and researched) for a new set of crochet needles regardless of price and came across these. I saw mostly positive reviews, and also noticed some reviews were from free or reduced price products (no judgment here, just an observation). I paid for these myself. I've been using them every day on an afghan project I started the day I received them roughly a week ago. I am so pleased with them thus far. They are very comfortable and easy to hold (I use the pencil hold method). There is a flat portion on the needle for the hold area. The kit is wonderful. I love the blue dot case which is easy to wipe. In addition to the nine comfortable crochet needles, there is a small inner mesh compartment that holds a bunch of goodies. I've used several goodies so far including the stitch counter, scissors, measuring tape, and stitch holder in addition to the gauge ruler that has its own slot in the case. I will be using the large yarn needles when I do the finishing work at the end of the project. I plan on likely buying several additional sets for the holidays: for mom, daughter, and sister-in-law. The needles are smooth. I've not had a single snag with my needles. One concern I had was if I would be able to hold enough loops on the needle. No problem with that either for my needs so far. I am happy with this purchase at this point! I also purchased the yarn holder from the same company for which I'll do a separate review when I'm ready.

Couldn't be happier with these crochet hooks

Couldn't be happier with these crochet hooks! They are a life saver for my painful arthritis! I used to use standard aluminum hooks and needed a smaller hook for a project...went to local craft store and for the price of ONE hook I could purchase this ENTIRE SET, so i ordered this set for the heck of it...SO GLAD I DID! I will never go back to standard hooks again. Using these hooks I can crochet longer and even a bit quicker. There are no burrs and they slide through acrylic, wool, and cotton with ease. One thing is that the rubber handles slip a bit once in a while, but am still giving 5 stars because for some projects it is a little handy to slide the grip down and make handle a little longer since I tend to be a bit of a tight stitcher. VERY VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE!
