Amazing inexpensive snare

One of the most inexpensive snare drums I own yet it’s one of my favorites. I play in a church environment, It’s so easy to control and easy to tune. I have the 13x5, I love the finish and the size! My only issue is that the throw off seems to loosen alittle bit over a short period of time and the snares become loose and rattle. So I just readjust the throw off every couple of songs. Regardless, I LOVE this snare.

After tuning it up for a quick minute and a 1/3 piece of a moongel, this snare was what I was looking for! Great sound and inexpensive!! I tracked some drums on a track and the play back sounds great, nice job PDP

This snare makes me want to be a better drummer

I've had a few snares that needed help to sound decent. This PDP by DW maple snare is a welcome replacement. I put a Remo coated center for head on and tuned both heads easily. My kit is a 7 piece PDP X7 maple and this snare is a perfect compliment. There were certain things I felt I struggled to do on my old snares, but it is easy with this snare. The magnetic wire flip off is brilliant and a pleasure after dealing with old school types. The sound of the snare is really impressive. It is articulate and has clear voicings from the rim's edge with good tonal variations to a solid and powerful strike or roll on the center of the head. With the wires off, it sings beautifully. I live in the Pacific Northwest, so temp and air pressure changes are frequent, yet these fine threaded rim lugs need minimal adjustments. Local shops are selling used snares for more than what this new snare costs. Buyer beware. This snare is a steal. Pro level quality for entry level price.

AMAZING SNARE DRUM

All of the PDP drums I have purchased have been AMAZING. The quality is impeccable. The sound is outstanding. The price is unbelievable. My 7-piece PDP Concept Maple kit came with a 10-ply maple snare drum, but it is 5.5x14. I wanted a 6.5x14 maple snare drum. This 10-ply maple snare drum is amazing and has a great sound. The black wax sealer finish gives it a very unique matte black finish that I've never seen a snare drum before. I love all of my PDP drums and the prices allow me to have many different snare drums in my collection.
