Perfect!
Very nice bag, especially for the price. It's very sturdy, yet still manages to be soft. I use ergonomic crochet hooks which do not fit in the knitting needle/crochet hook slots, but I didn't expect them to. The slots hold a pencil, a small scissors, and an arm of my reading glasses, so it's perfect. I organize my yarn in plastic bags inside the bag so there is no mingling/fraying of the yarn. It's great for afghans and multiple yarn projects. There is even room for my crochet journal/instruction book and my day planner. It even holds several of the jumbo Red Heart yarns for those really big projects. I'm thrilled. The bag is excellent quality and extraordinary quality for the price.

A lightweight durable bag
Perfect for knitting on the go. The bag is lightweight and it keeps my yarn clean while lessening the opportunity for tangles. The color is a primary blue and does not look denim. The outside fabric is durable and has a little texture. The inside fabric is a smooth cotton or cotton/poly blend in a matching blue with white medium size polka-dots. The top unzips enough to have full access to the inside of the bag. I don't use the shoulder strap but I keep it in the inside pocket, just in case I change my mind. The top handle is webbed nylon with a rubber or plastic grip that makes it easy to carry. The zipper is also nylon with duo sliders, like many suitcases. I take mine when I have a doctor's appointment or have a long train ride, I also use it just sitting on the couch watching TV. It keeps the cat out of the yarn...so far.

Contains the "Crochet Clutter"
My husband was straightening up in the living room one day and in exasperation he said, "I'm glad you crochet and that it keeps you busy and all, but does your stuff need to be EVERYWHERE? It's taking over the whole room!" And he was right. Since I usually work while watching TV, my "stuff" is on the coffee table, the end table next to the sofa, in a wicker basket on the floor, etc. I decided it was time I got organized so I turned to Amazon to see what I could find. I was anticipating getting an old fashioned, open-topped knitting basket - I literally had no idea there was anything better out there. Then I saw this bag and knew I had to have it. It's helped me cut down on my "crochet clutter" significantly. This bag is light, portable, and holds a LOT of yarn. I'm currently working on an afghan and have the bag stuffed with two regular sized skeins, two "pounder" skeins, and several smaller balls. There are small pockets that are perfect for organizing crochet hooks, a wider pocket that I'm using for scissors and stitch markers, and then an even wider pocket that's perfect for holding printed instructions. The zippers are okay - I haven't had any issues with them sticking as some people mentioned in their reviews. I also did not detect any strange chemical odors coming from the bag whatsoever. The bag material is soft but sturdy. It keeps its shape and doesn't slump even without yarn in it. It stands up nicely. I can't even explain how awesome this bag is - I didn't know how badly I needed it until I got it. Highly recommend.

Really Nice Features for Porting Projects
I love this bag. I have several bags, and I wasn't going to buy this extra one, but it was a good deal. I love that it has a handle and a shoulder strap to make it easy to grab it and go. The reinforced slits in the top mean that you can pull the yarn through to help prevent tangling. Other products with holes require you to cut the yarn if you remove the project, but with this bag, unless you are knitting from a huge ball, you can extract the project, yarn fully intact. That is a huge advantage. The bag seems sturdy and well-constructed. Size-wise, it can hold at least a couple accessory projects. Probably it's not big enough for an entire full-sized afghan. One feature I would have liked would be a snug strap (of fabric) on the top of the bag to hold the working needles when I need to step away for a few minutes, but the side pockets function for that instead. I'm not especially fond of the outside pockets because I do carry this around with me, and it gets knocked around a bit in the car, but so far, nothing has fallen out of those. I would prefer more inside pockets.

Great knitting tool!
I wanted a way to keep a large number of small balls of yarn available for knitting, while also keeping my yarn safe from my puppy's curious teeth. This bag does that very well. The slits on the top are perfect for knitting multiple colors at once (for stripes, for example.). The only way this could be better is if the pockets on the side had a flap to cover them and protect objects from falling out when carried, or if the pockets were large enough to fit a full-sized set of sewing shears securely.

Very Sturdy, Holes Well Reinforced
I am so glad that I purchased this to keep my yarns contained, yet untangled during my crochet projects. The holes are well reinforced, so the yarn does not easily slide between in the slit. It holds 4 super bulky skeins, 6oz each of yarn. The only complaint I have is that the over-the-shoulder strap was missing from my package. Else, it would have been five stars. I would recommend this to any crocheter or knitter to keep your yarns organized while working. UPDATE: I found the over the shoulder strap weeks later. i have updated my rating to five stars.

Great Bag
The bag is working out great for me. I do a lot of crocheting with thicker yarns and they stay right in the bag without any problem even if I'm pulling and tugging on the yarn. There are 2 holes connected by a slit on two sides of the top (so 4 holes altogether). Right now I'm working on a blanket with some very thick yarn and have no issue at all with the yarn fitting through the holes in the top. I have 2 dogs that love to play with the ball of yarn and by doing that they get the yarn covered in fur. Now the yarn is secured in a zipped bag that they can't get at so for me it saves a lot of aggravation. The bag comes with a small handle on top and also a much longer handle that's inside the bag. The pockets in front are great for holding needles and scissors - very happy I purchased this.

I'm glad I bought it!
I had this product in my cart for months debating whether or not it would meet my needs and be a more effective way of storing and transporting my knitting projects than what I was using at the time. I only wish I had ordered it sooner. It is light weight, collapsible when empty, roomy, sturdy, and just what I needed. I currently have four small projects, and three cases containing knitting and crochet tools, plus a few other odds and ends in the bag. It's convenient to store things at home, or to pick up and go if I want to take my projects with me. It was a worthwhile purchase.

Looks good, feels good, high quality and offers great security from cats.
I wanted a way to store, protect, and carry my knit projects. I have two cats who eye my yarn with mischief on their minds. They would like nothing better than to get their paws and claws on the ball of yarn. This is a great solution. It also helps avoid knitting with fur. It keeps the yarn relatively fur free. Between two cats and a dog, fur is inevitable. This bag was a few bucks more expensive than another I looked at. I'm ready happy I got this one. It arrived quickly and well packaged. Just as described. It's actually larger than I thought it would be. Sure, the dimensions provided are accurate, but it's not until I got it that I realized I can put a lot of stuff in there. On occasion, I take a project out with me. This bag looks good and I like to adjustable strap. It doesn't scream "craft bag". The sides of the bag are sturdy and it doesn't collapse easily. It's still soft sided, but overall it keeps its shape. For a new item, it had very little "new" smell. Looks good, feels good, functional. Roomy with handy pockets on the outside.

Blue yarn storage bag
This yarn drum holds so much. I have my thin pattern booklet inside, a tin pencil case, 4 skeins of Lionbrand fisherman's wool, a knitting needle case, a crochet hook case and a dpn case. In the outside pocket I have my tunisian hook case (all my hook and needle cases are soft), and a calculator. I have a pen, pencil, and 3 dpns in the front tube pockets. I also have my artbin pouch hooked to the outside with hand sanitizer. Everything is at my fingertips for the blanket I am working on. Yarn storage bag compared to the Artbin: Artbin goes flat if not full, it can't hold as much and has a California prop 65 warning, has a mesh pocket on the outside and a pouch, no dividers, will not store a big project. Yarn storage bag: Is sturdy, no California 65 warning, has lots of pockets on the outside and two on the inside, no pouch and no divider and will not store a big project. I do prefer this over the artbin because of how sturdy it is and everything it holds. I wish it came in more colors, had a pouch that could clip on the outside, a divider and came in different sizes. Update 11/22/16 Loved the bag so much I bought another one in red.
