Really happy with this purchase. I bought it for a long 9 hour road trip for Christmas. We have arrived safe and sound. My 2 year old only slept for 3 hours out of the 9 hours and he was very happy and content for the rest of the time. I give this car seat the credits because he cried for a whole hour last time using our old cheaper version of safety first- the seat is not cushioned. I almost bought the maxi cosi 75 then switched to this one because I want two cup holders (3 would be ideal... one for drink, one for snacks, one for toys.). So happy I did. I found everything I desire about a carseat and saved $100. I put my 28 pounds toddler forward facing at position 2. (See picture). He sleeps without his head hanging down like when he sits in other car seats. I place his car seat in the middle seat on the back seat for 1) I was told that is the safest spot in the car 2) the child can look straight out and won't be bored too quickly during the road trip. I once tried to install the car seat rear facing and set the incline to position 3. But because of the angel of my back seat, this didn't make any difference with position 2 forward facing, concerning how flat he can lay when he is sleeping. I heard that pool noodle can do the trick but I haven't tried it yet. As he is already comfortable in the position, I probably won't both. Two suggestions for the manufacturer: 1. Make the cup holders removable- will be so much easier for cleaning 2. Make the cup holders' level lower so it is easier for parents to throw heavy babies in. This is the longest review I have ever written because I feel strong about this car seat.

I have had this carseat close to a year now and still loving it! My son first started using it at 7months old and he has loved it ever since. I love that it grows with the child, it's very padded and comfortable, easy to install, compact, the padding comes off so easily to wash which is a big positive for me. For the quality of this carseat it comes at a great price. I have had no issues with it. The photo was taken today after almost a year of constant use.

My toddler is A-OK after being in a terrible car accident (car is totaled.) I T-boned a girl who took a left in front of me and I couldn't get the car really even slowed down before it happened. Probably a 45mph crash and he was perfect afterwards! So glad he is ok, and very thankful for this carseat. I will be replacing the seat with the same model (for those that are unaware, anytime your car is in an accident, the car seats should be replaced).

My son loves this. In regards of he reviews about it being too lose, you must tighten the latch before latching and then it's fine. It's hard to get it tight enough when you latch it. So what we did was tighten to the point where it almost didn't reach the latch and it was tight enough. We have a 2008 for fusion so I was worried about the fit with it being a little bigger then His infant carrier however it fits great. Like I said my son loves this seat. The simple fact that he used to scream is head off in the car before we got this seat is enough to give it 5 stars

This carseat is AMAZING! Around 6 months old, my daughter really started hating her infant carseat because she couldn't sit up and look out the window. My mother-in-law bought a convertible carseat for her car, so she was really starting to love that one. Also, my husband and I were getting tired of moving the infant seat from car to car since she was so heavy. Therefore, I went on my journey to find a convertible seat. I was not willing to spend over $200 because we need one for each of our cars and that money adds up! I read review, after review, after review. These were what I wanted: 1. To go all the way to a high back booster 2. Under $200 3. Easily Machine Washable 4. Easy tie back for straps (my mother-in-laws Britax has velcro) 5. Cup holders for when she gets old 6. Nice neutral color Do you know how hard it was to find that? SO HARD. Half of them were either pink or blue, which I hated because our interiors are black and I wanted something that could be used with another baby someday. Therefore, I stumbled on this one and was excited to order it and get it in. I was a little worried though that it might not be the quality we were hoping for or might be hard to get her in and out, but it's literally amazing! We've had it now for about 3 months and it's perfect. We are saving up now to buy the second one for my husband's car, but know that it's exactly what we want! The only negative thing I can say is that it's a bit harder than our Chicco Keyfit to loosen the harness, but it's not impossible, just a little harder. Would recommend this seat to anyone in the market for one, and at a much better price than the Graco 4ever seat.

If that headline doesn't get your attention, I'm not sure what will. BUT, seriously, my child slept through a pretty significant fender bender tucked safely in this car seat. Right before my daughter turned one I poured over car seats (once again) as she rapidly outgrew her first infant "bucket" seat. I fretted, I compared, I researched to a painstaking degree. In the end, I purchased this car seat (with crossed fingers) because it had many of the features of the much more expensive "name brand" car seats without the price tag. When the seat arrived I wasn't disappointed. It feels quite sturdy, has adequate padding, seems quite comfortable, fits inside both of our vehicles etc. It may not be the "fanciest" car seat out there, but upon first inspection it seemed to be just "fine" and I was not disappointed in my purchase. Flash forward 6 months. My daughter is now 18 months old. We are running around taking care of errands, and I am stopped at a stop sign when *BAM* a truck smashes into our tiny hybrid HARD and I mean HARD - it's been determined the driver was going between 30 to 45 miles per hour... and I was completely STOPPED. I jarred both of my legs into the floor, bruised my shoulder area (where the buckle was), and had some pretty serious whiplash. My daughter (rear facing in this car seat) SLEPT through the crash and sustained no injuries...not a single bruise, not a hair out of place. I find that impressive. Safety 1st, did just that - kept my most precious "cargo" safe. To say I recommend this car seat would be an understatement.

I'm one of those mom's who has bought FIVE different brand/make carseats. We use two cars, two kids (so we need 4 seats in active use) and this seat is the BEST of them all... Both seats in my car are these. I have one forward facing and one rear facing. My tall kids, 20mo and almost 3yo, have been comfortably riding in these for months. Love the strap holder hooks best! Side head rest are great for sleepy heads and the padding is super easy to remove and wash (in the washer machine). Super sturdy and easy to install. The clips/harnass is easy to work.

Came in today & I absolutely love it, it looks exactly like the photos. My son is 8 months old now and is getting too big for his original car seat so it was definitely time for an upgrade! I think I'm more excited about it than he is lol. 😁👍🏾

Great seat! We just switched our 10 month old to this seat- he was previously in a keyfit 30. He's much more comfortable and seems to be able to look around better - which makes him happier. The material is really nice - a smooth, almost neoprene like fabric. I think it will stay cool in our south Georgia weather and be easy to clean. I love the strap holders- makes getting him in and out easier. Also - love that the headrest/ straps are adjustable as one piece. No rethreading, unless you are using this for a tiny baby. I was most concerned with size and how well it would fit in our vehicles. My husband drives a Chevy Silverado - it's not a full crew cab, but 4 doors. The back seat is a little smaller than a full crew cab and this seat fits fine. It's reclined all of the way and there's no problem fitting behind the seats. I tried it in my car also - older Nissan Sentra- no problem there either. Grest seat for the price. I'll be purchasing another one for my car and probably the grandparents since the seat is so reasonably priced and good quality.

I was in a highway accident a few days ago, scary I known. Thankfully I had purchased this car seat before the accident happened. I bought it primarily because of its adjustablilty to my car's seats but of course being able to protect my child was an unconditional plus to my purchase. My daughter was safe and sound in her car seat (that was installed and buckled correctly ) while the rest of us in the car walked away bruised and beaten up. I'm forever grateful that she's okay thanks to this product. I bought it again to keep her safe for more car rides to come. My sister (14 weeks pregnant) who was also in the car at the time is going to purchase the same set for her future child and we both recommend this to anyone with a little one!
