A little bigger than expected, but very nice.

First off, I'd like to note that this style of corkscrew is the absolute best. I've used them before this one and find it the absolute easiest way to get that stubborn little cork out of the bottle. Alright, now that we've settled that little snippet we can move on to the review. Though I haven't had this very long, I can say that I am pleased. Admittedly, this piece is larger than I originally thought but it does seem to be made out of sturdy materials. I say it's big, but I don't think it is overly so. Really not much more than others like this that I've used. Maybe I didn't read the description very thoroughly, but I was also surprised that it came in a gift box like it did with its accessories and whatnot (really just the one since it just has stopper with it). Given that I was pleased with the corkscrew by itself for the price that I paid, I was tickled to see that it came with a stopper as well. All in all, I think this is a very nice little product.

Works as it should.

Received only four days after order was placed. As others have mentioned, the corkscrew comes in an attractive box. However, the really important factor to me is that it worked perfectly the one and only time I've used it so far. It dug into the cork easily, it didn't puncture the far end so no cork fell into the wine, and the cork came out in one piece without any difficulty. Whether it will continue to function so well in the future, who knows? I don't have wine often and I'll soon be 80 so I decided to get this written while I can.

Nice, Sturdy Wine Opener.

I received the HiCoup Wine Opener promptly. It seems sturdy, has a nice finish and is definitely nicely packaged. The bonus wine stopper is nicely made, too. This opener works well. It replaced another wing-type opener that worked well for 20+ years. As we live in wine country, I've had ample opportunity to evaluate other types of openers, and will continue to use this type. The downsides are: 1) it will not fit comfortably in your pocket for travel and 2) it will chew up the cork on one end, though it is usually still sufficiently intact to restopper the bottle, if needed. These downsides are offset by its reliability, lack of fussiness, and no requirement for any sort of battery. I look forward to using this opener for another 20+ years. Recommended.

Quality product

I have been a wine enthusiast for over 30 years. My go to opener has always been the simplicity of the wing corkscrew. Finding a quality wing corkscrew was a different story, until now. The HiCoup opener has smooth gearing, rubber grips on the wings, and a perfectly straight point at the end of the corkscrew. The last item may seem small, but I have purchased winged corkscrews with a slight curve at the end which makes it difficult to center properly on the cork. This is a beautifully crafted "machine." It exudes a sturdy, focused design effort crafted with the highest quality in mind. The metal stopper included with the corkscrew is a work of miniature art in itself. Packaged in a handsome box with a black insert that cradles corkscrew and stopper, the presents itself as a quality gift. How this company produces this set at such an affordable price I do not know. However, after purchasing one for myself, I knew it was a great Christmas gift item. So I ordered 4 more. Highly recommended. Any wine lover would be pleased with this.

Glad I got this one.

This is my first wing corkscrew and I looked at some at our local store. I wasn't impressed with them so I decided to purchase the HiCoup. I'm very glad I did. It arrives in a very nice box which makes it great to give as a gift. The corkscrew looks well made and and is visually good looking. The bottle stopper is heavy metal and also looks very nice. I am very happy with this purchase.

Well-designed!

This is the best wing-style corkscrew I have ever owned. It requires only a light touch to remove both synthetic and natural corks. The styling and design are also special. I turned to Amazon when a corkscrew purchased from a major retailer of home goods broke during its first use!

What an AWESOME PRODUCT

My husband broke our cheap wine opener on a Friday. He said "I'll get one next week"....well we know how that goes...two weeks later I just went to Amazon, ordered this wine opener and a couple of days later, this FABULOUS WINE OPENER WITH GREAT QUALITY!!!! Fast delivery and WAY BETTER than we would have purchased at the grocery store.
