Good, good price
The grain is fresh and well packaged. So far being I have been cooking it in a rice cooker with a couple of bouillon cubes using the brown rice setting, but I am looking forward to trying different recipes. Very good and good price compared to our local grocery stores.

YUM!!
if you've never had farro, you should! I've been looking for a replacement for rice since it is basically empty calories with hardly any flavor. I hated quinoa so I was hesitant to try farro. It is awesome! It is chewy and has more flavor than rice but still pairs well with every recipe I've tried. I actually like just eating it plain with a dab of butter or mixed into salads to make them more filling. The downside is that it does take about 30 mins to cook because it is the whole grain but it is more nutritious and worth the wait.

Farro is delicious and you should buy it
If you like toothsome stuff? You will love farro. If you have never made Smitten Kitchen's one-pan farro with tomatoes DO SO IMMEDIATELY. For real though, it's delicious. I also like to add farro into soups and succotash for extra bulk. 10/10 nutty carb bae. My supermarkets don't reliably carry farro, so I like to order it here. The price is also comparable or slightly cheaper than what I would pay there.

Excellent Product
Farro is a higher protein whole grain, which is really nice in salads or as a pilaf, and it is easy to prepare. I am in the habit of soaking my grains for 24 hours before cooking (with a little vinegar or whey in the water). This cuts the cooking time to 15-20 minutes rather than the expected 40 minutes. Bob's Red Mill does good quality products. I would buy this again.

Love the product
Love the product, but after I purchased it for $10.15 saw it in the store for $5.65 for the same amount. Just a little over priced. Would not buy it again at that price.

Where has farro been all my life?
Somehow I only recently discovered this most ancient of grains that is now the current "it" grain. Even better than bulgur, Farro has a distinctive and delicious nutty flavor with a substantial, chewy mouthfeel. It is great plain or with sautéed onions and mushrooms; goes with meat, fish or fowl; provides a fabulous addition to soups and stews; and is packed with fiber. Bob's Red Mill is the go-to grain brand with consistent quality, fair prices, and great service.

Always on my kitchen pantry.
I like how it taste, especially when mix it on a ratio of 1/2 cup of Brown Rice with 1/4c. Farrow and 1/4c. Wild Rice, it yields to a very delicious mix of grains.

Superb!
Unlike any other ancient grain, farro has a certain 'sweetness' to it... NOT sugary-sweet, but simply "different". I recently made a meal with it as the base, topped with sliced portabello mushrooms, roasted squash, fresh mint and feta cheese, and it was an absolutely fabulous. Those same ingredients on brown rice? Yeh, but... well... no.

Fast cooking time
I have bought several different versions and brands of farro (also known as spelt or dinkel) and these are my favorite. Don't let the title of my review turn you away. I suspect they must be precooked our handled differently but they are still "organic." Nevertheless, they literally take 30-45 minutes to cook while other brands require soaking for up to 12 hours before cooking. Sometimes its difficult to manage this requirement with all of life's other tasks. I am stationed overseas, and I find it is worth the wait for these to be delivered (7-10 business days) than the locally purchased ones in German stores, plus I prefer the overall texture and taste to other brands, so I keep ordering them so I have a constant flow of incoming farro; another reason why I miss being home in the US.
