As shared in a previous product review for the Idson Muscle Roller Stick, I find the lightweight compact design ideal for travel and packing. The hard plastic rollers are great for getting into deep fascia tissues, particularly the hip flexors which are often the most neglected muscle group in the body. I would recommend this item over a foam roller. I think the two together do a great job and notice increased flexibility and much less pain and tightness in my legs as a result of using them daily.

Now in my mid-50's I've noticed over the years that after a run and leg workout I seem to suffer less days afterwards if i foam roll w stretching. Unfortunately the many varieties of foam rollers i have purchased, none have been able to rid my legs of the knots in my quads. I've used this a few times now and i believe it is working great on ridding me of the balls of muscle tissue in my legs. I purchased this heavy plastic one so i can use it in the shower.

Hi , I'm a Doctor in Physical Therapy and I have been using this particular brand of "roller stick" for the past 6 months. The results I achieve with persons I treat with cervical and lumbar spine are amazing/ some unbelievable. Unfortunately trigger points/knots are not visible for naked eye/palpitation nor can they be detected on MRI scan. This roller finds/locates it with ease. Great news is it helps to get rid of those knots with persistent use. Trigger points are not only the reasons for back/shoulder pain but are one of the major factors/contributors among others.

Doc recommended one of these due to lingering pain around incision months after hip replacement, probably due to scar tissue or adhesions. After only a few days of using the pain is almost gone, it was surprising. I’m using it to roll other sore or stiff muscles on legs and lower back and it really helps. You don’t have to be a young athlete to see benefits. This one has just enough nubs to be beneficial but not painful. You only need to roll for a couple of minutes twice a day or so to see results although you can always do more frequently if desired. Of course if using this post surgery be sure to ask your doctor when it’s ok.

I'm a distance runner, and of all the gadgets and accessories I've bought myself, this is hands-down my favorite! Before this stick I had a solid stretching routine and proper diet, but even so, after my weekly long runs I could feel it. I was constantly dealing with tight quads and shin splints. Then I got this thing. I started rolling my legs for about 5-6 minutes before and after runs, and it's been a game changer! Stiffness/soreness is gone, and I've seen my pace drop significantly. And I'm not sure what kind of woolly mammoths are buying this, but I'm a man with standard man leg hair and have had zero problems with it getting stuck in the rollers. Also, this thing is lightweight and easily fits in a small gym bag. And at the price point...this is a no brainer. In summary: Buy this stick immediately. Your muscles will thank you.

This stick roller works very well. Had it about a month and it has worked wonders for my wife's tight IT band - especially for the price! After about 3 weeks, the rollers started "gumming up" and not wanting to roll freely. Figured out this was because of the lotion my wife uses after her bath. Soaking the wand a while in HOT water and twisting the rollers around while under water quickly restored it to like new condition. So be careful if you use this on skin that has had lotions applied.

This works well for my needs. My physical therapist recommended I purchase a calf roller to help ease the pain from Multiple Sclerosis spasticity. It is working to lessen my stiffness and pain and I am grateful for it. *Spasticity is a condition in which certain muscles are continuously contracted. This contraction causes stiffness or tightness of the muscles and can interfere with normal movement.

So I started reading about how breaking up tissue in your muscles will help with with recovery time. Whenever I do leg day workouts, I am sore for about a week, sometimes longer. I have tried (and purchased 2) foam rollers in the past, and it just seemed like some medieval form of torture every single time I would do it on my quads. After seeing some guy in the gym looking like he knew what he was doing with something like one of these, I decided to look on amazon for one. I purchased this roller and I love it. It has cut back on my recovery time from 7 days to now usually 3 days. I can control now if I want to scream like a girl or not based on how much pressure I put on it, whereas the foam roller is up to how much body weight you put on it, which you can't really control. Pleased with my purchase, and highly recommend it.

Works really well. I was using an actual rolling pin which works pretty well but I like the nobbies on the Idson better plus it is narrower so it is easier to use. Oh and it gives the bonus of not getting flour all over you clothes.

This thing has changed my life!! After years of suffering with shin splints and calf cramps I stumbled upon this with the hopes it would help and OMG it has worked wonders. After countless pairs of shoes, ointments, massage therapy- you name it - this is the only relief I have been able to get to aide while running/working out. My only regret is that I didn’t know about this sooner!!
