I LOVE LOVE this kettle. it is SEAMLESS AT THE BOTTOM. My search for a seamless bottle kettle is OVER! I no longer have to worry about rust stains forming and welding discolorations, or what material was used to weld the bottom or the seams together, etc. after use, I wipe it dry. it fits on my ceramic cooktop small burner, heats the water fast. the cap has two holes so you can use one of the holes to put thermometer. the exterior is brush stainless steel so no fingerprints. the size is right size for me to control the speed of pouring water. the kettle handle feels comfortable in my hand and doesn't' feel hot and the cap on the top has a large black knob so it is easy to hold in place or remove cap to fill kettle. the cap isn't snug so that you have to use force to pull the cap off or push down on cap when placing on kettle. I am thrill with my purchase. the main reason i purchased this kettle is because it has a seamless bottom. I did NOT buy this product at a reduced price in exchange for a review. Instead I brought this item based on the reviews given by others, especially reviews regarding its seamless bottom! Thanks!!

Having worked at a few coffee shops before and using a variety of kettles such as the Hario, Stagg by Fellow, Kettle by Kalita, and many others; I have to say this one is quite impressive. While other kettles go for $45+ this one is priced really well for how it functions. Although the grip isn't as nice to hold as the Stagg, nor does it have a thermometer, the grip is solid and it does offer holes to insert your own. The spout is also well designed and the pour is also easy to control, going from droplets to a steady stream, comparable to the Stagg by fellow. Comparing to the Hario kettle... This thing is no comparison as the grip and spout are much better in my opinion for the reasons noted above. This kettle is great for its price and I encourage anyone, barista or not, who is looking for a kettle that just works should invest in this one.

I like it. But, the base is pretty small, and I have to turn down the flame on my gas cooktop so that it doesn't shoot up around the sides. An electric cooktop would be wonderful for this kettle. It only heats enough water for 1.5-2 cups of coffee, but that's perfect for me when I make only enough for myself. But, mine arrived with a burr on the top edge of the pour spout, like the burr on a knife edge. It does not affect pouring. I'll live with it. Update: Ovalware Customer Service contacted me and shipped me a new one! It is in perfect condition - no burr on the spout lip edge. I am very impressed with the company and believe they are interested in quality and customer service. Originally, I gave it a 3 due to the burr, but when they gave me a new one within weeks of my original purchase, I now think it is a 5.

I LOVE my new tea kettle. It's great for making a really good pour-over coffee. All the features are just right! It's sized perfectly for me and seems of excellent quality. I've been using it for a month and so far, I'm completely sold. (I expect this to last MUCH longer than my last one, which was supposedly a good choice, but rusted out pretty quick.) I love this stainless steel finish - looks stylish and helps me in my attempts to avoid boiling water in plastics or aluminum. I highly recommend it. A YEAR LATER - I STILL LOVE THIS KETTLE. I TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN EVERY DAY IN THE DISH DRAINER AFTER USE AND NO RUST OR EVEN A SIGN OF USE. IT'S PERFECT!!!

Works great so far. I can use a small thermometer in one of the steam holes and that helps get the right temperature. I like the design and the handle is in the right place to avoid burns. It allows for pouring just the right amount of water over the grounds. Just because this brand doesn't have hundreds of reviews like some others doesn't mean anything - it's a nice product. And... it's definitely sturdy - I accidentally left the fire on under the empty kettle for 6 hours and to my surprise the kettle survived without any damage!

I purchased this kettle, the Hario V60 and filters for it. I use a setting of 13 on my Baratza Encore Conical Burr Coffee Grinder for medium roast coffee. Brew time between 3 and 3.5 minutes. This little kettle does an awesome job and it is the perfect size for making a 15 ounce cup of coffee at a time. Actually, I fill it up and make a smaller cup for my wife first and set it back on the hot burner while I serve her coffee. It is good to go a couple of minutes later for my 15 ouncer with water to spare. I am extremely pleased with the results. Delicious coffee.

I've had this kettle for about 6 months and I love it even though it's actually my second one. About a couple of weeks after the first one arrived I noticed there was a tiny, pin-sized hole in the side near the bottom. Little drips of water were coming out. I contacted their customer service via email (there was no phone number) and they got right back to me and sent me a new one ASAP, no charge. They even emailed later to make sure the new one had arrived and was in good condition. The new one has been great. I'm the only coffee drinker in my house so it works out well to make it via the pour-over method rather than have a coffee maker taking up space on my counter. The handle and the knob do not get hot. They get warm, but not so warm you can't touch them. I like that the handle is tilted away from the kettle a little bit so your knuckles don't get burned. I have small hands but if you have larger hands like my hubby this would be a plus. It holds just the right amount of water for me. If I fill it about half way, I enough water for one cup of coffee plus a little to spare. The water pours out of the spout smoothly. It's easy to keep clean. I wash it out every day and once week heat a mixture of water and vinegar to remove the hard water deposits. Pipe cleaners from the craft section of the Dollar Store will clean the spout (I do that weekly with a little soap). If you have larger hands you might want to use a bottle brush to clean the inside. I use one even though my hand fits through the opening with a little bit of space left. It works a little better. The only thing I would watch out for is that if the water gets too hot and boils hard it will come shooting out of the spout. It does NOT whistle like a traditional tea kettle so you do have to monitor it more closely. This is just something to be aware of especially if you have small kiddos. That said, I don't blame the kettle. It's just physics and user error. I managed to avoid boiling it over until just this week. As long as you can watch it (listen for bubbling sounds and watch for steam) it's not a problem. I would only let this sway your opinion if you've got too much going on in the morning to keep an eye on it or if you're worried about small children.

Love this pot, and the seller. I wrote them when after six months the thermometer suddenly clouded up with moisture, I was afraid it was done for. They replied instantly how to fix it. (200 dg. F oven for 20 minutes; cool at room temp.) Perfecto. Thanks, Maikenmen!

I've been using this kettle for a little over a week now and so far I love it. The kettle doesn't have a large capacity but I use it with the 6-cup Chemex coffee maker so I don't really need to heat a ton of water. Most importantly, the spout pours water at perfect rate for pour-over coffee and really grants the user full control over the pouring process. The design/look of this kettle is simple, yet timeless. We leave it sitting on the stove and it looks great. It also seems to be built really well and I don't foresee any durability issues with this kettle. Would highly recommend.

I have been using this kettle every day for about 6 months now. The spout makes it easy to direct the water where I need it for my pour over coffee. I leave the kettle on my stove and it is always about half filled with water, and I haven't had any rust issues. The handle gets warm, but not hot, so I am able to lift it off the stove without any type of mit. There are two vent holes and I keep a thermometer in one, so I know when my water is at the correct temp. This product is well made and I would buy it again
