This is a lower end coverstitch machine, but a great value for the price.

Coverstitch Machine

I am so happy I made this purchase! It is a beautiful machine. Easy to set up and get started right out of the box. I would recommend this to anyone. Janome has some amazing machines and this one is really great. Sews beautifully on knots and stretch fabrics.

Doesn’t maintain a consistent coverstitch

Very solid machine but inconsistent stitching. Some difficulty with tension related to threading of the looper. Also problem with tunneling while sewing coverstitch stitch. No trouble shooting manual included.

Exceeded expectations!

This machine does a really nice job! Do your research and read recommendations from other reviews for tips to use and you will be pleased. Do not expect it to be exactly like a factory hem from a professional much more expensive machine, but much better than double needle on your regular sewing machine and very close to professional factory hem! Stretch fabrics are so popular now. So nice to be able to hem dresses and pants to your preferences!

Very professional finish.

I've wanted this for years.

It's great. I do a lot of alterations and this makes it so much easier. I'm going to make some knit tops and sundresses now that hemming is a easy peasy.

Nice machine for the $

Love this coverstitch machine. I've had no issues with threading or sewing on this machine. Sews like a dream!

Makes nice stitches and easy to setup

I bought this coverstitch machine for my girlfriend who sews bathing suits all of the time. We live in Kauai, so I was concerned it would get beat up during shipment, but it came ready to rock out of the box. She said it's easy to thread and once she figured out the thread tensioning, after she installed her own thread, she was sewing away. She also looked at the 1000CPX, which has an adjustable stitch width, but the two settings are either narrower or wider than the stitch on the 900CPX, and she likes the middle width best for most projects. All-in-all, she seems very happy with it, and says it makes quality stitches. Have fun & happy sewing!
