This art box is perfect for any artist. I added decals to the outer sides, they adhered perfectly to the natural wood.

Practical + Beautiful = satisfying

The box is mostly well constructed. The slides for the top inserts and the drawers catch just a bit. This is a minor detail. I'm using it to contain my Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures game with its many components, and it's pretty kick ass. Much prettier than a plastic tackle box. Painted and waxed, this is what I ended up with...

Small but mighty

Not as large as I thought it would be but it holds a heck of a lot. Actually...it holds all my art supplies (paints, brushes, etc.) I'm very happy with this case, especially because it's so compact and it is well crafted.

Works great as is, stains up nicely!

Very good value for the price, dimensions as specified. It's got a little bit of overglue that prevents it from taking stain in a few places, mostly inside the drawers (see bottom left of pic) and behind the handles on the top slide-outs--they're all hidden from the front when it's closed up, and it generally looks very nice. Construction is pretty solid and the assortment of compartment sizes seems to offer a little of everything.

Easy to carry and use

Excellent for carrying lots of smaller tools. I use this for potters tools. Very easy to see what you have and access the tools.

Great art supply or gadget box

This art supply box is a Christmas present for my grandson. After seeing Toy Story 2 and the toy artisan who arrives to fix Woody's arm with his supply box in tow, my grandson said (with wide eyes) he'd love to have a box like that (this was in August so it wasn't a hint for a Christmas present--lol). It had compartments and opened up from a smallish box to something holding lots of toy repair supplies. I have opened all of the compartments of my purchased box and have found the box quite sturdy. The slides worked well and everything opened up with no snags. It's small enough for a 5 year old to carry, yet it has lots of storage areas. I plan on staining the box a medium gray color and writing my name in one of the compartments near the back of the box. I believe this will become a true keepsake for my grandson and he'll remember this Christmas for many more to come.

Love these boxes

I bought two of these to make into jewelry boxes. Everything fits together very well on the two that I received, unlike a few others that I saw reviews on. They are solidly built and I love the design of them. Some parts seem to have a light finish on them that I will have to sand off before I perform any wood burning but shouldn't be a problem.

efficient and pleasing to tote around

I thought this was too small OR that I was missing something...I was....it was the drawer on the bottom that stores a palette for me and odd things without a place to go. This is my second review and I love this artist box and recommend it to anyone. I am so happy I found it.

A Very Nice Storage Case.

I wanted to give a young hobbyist a place for his paints and figures and I wanted something more than just a box with a lid. I saw how this storage box opened and instantly thought of my friend's son. There is plenty of variety of storage that makes this wooden storage box so cool to use. Brushes, paints and figures than all be stored and transported in this box. My friend's kid loved it. And because it was wooden I was able to burn and then stain the case to it looked fantastic some thing you could find at some craft store. In fact I have not seen any box like this at two of the big name craft stores in my area. Very cool wooden storage box. Buy it you won't be disappointed.

Cleverly designed tool box

I really like this tool box! The construction is sturdy and I love the leather handle. The lower drawer stuck a little but after I got it to open and rubbed some bees wax on the sides and edges and also on the runners of the upper swivel drawers they worked great. There are lots of nice little cubbies to put all of your different sized tools in.
