We purchased the original scent paws & pals Natural Oatmeal Dog-Shampoo & Conditioner... This stuff is great for our border collie mix! She suffers from dry flaky skin that is super sensitive to just about any other shampoo we use on her. She'll itch all day long and into the night too, this shampoo was a game changer. No more dry irritated skin, no more dandruff, and most importantly no more itching! Plus, the scent isn't overpowering like most other dogs shampoos she's clean without smelling like she was dipped in a tub of perfume. She has a long dark double coat and this oatmeal shampoo really made her coat silky, non-oily, and tangle free. We used it on our Rat Terrier too, who has a shorter lighter coat and his came out just as soft! And this is only after one bath! This Shampoo is exactly what we've been looking for! Will definitely buy again.

The Best

I am a caregiver for my mother who has 2 dogs and I have 1, they are Shi-tzu's. I take them every 6 wks to be groomed & they all have sensitive skin. I took this shampoo to leave with our groomer, picked them up not only were they not itching but wow the 2 that had white on them were the whitest I have ever seen them. Keep in mind one is 13 and the other that has white is 10. So hands down this is the very best dog shampoo I have purchased, I am very pleased!

Great dog shampoo

We're already on our second bottle with our Cavalier! Although he'd rather smell like dirt and grass, we really appreciate the delicate scent it leaves on his coat. It also really helps detangle and adds shine. One thing I noticed with our last bottle - a lot of the oatmeal had deposited at the bottom of it. I wonder - should we shake the bottle before every bath?

In Love with this shampoo! Sydney is a Lab/Golden Retriever mix. Though she is all black with a longer coat of a golden. We have always had issues with flakeyness and her smelling only a couple of days after a 50+ dollar groom. I used this shampoo once and her coat has not only smelled delicious for the past couple of weeks but it’s held it’s shine and softness. Most dog shampoos I’ve used have left a residual gunky layer on her and she has felt greasy a few days in. This is well worth the money! We will be saving a lot of money on grooming from here on out! Also, so far no more flakes! I’ll keep this review updated if any changes. :} oh! and the smell is lovely but not too overpowering.

Smells great, gets thick hair clean

This shampoo is the absolute best and I honestly can't ever see a need to use another one. First off, I can get my puppies clean and feel good about the ingredients I'm rubbing all over their bodies. Secondly, it smells amazing! My dogs agree too, every time we get it out they get so excited it's their turn for shower time! Not only do we use this shampoo regularly on the thick curly hair of two poodle mixes (full size goldendoodle and mini labradoodle), but it was especially helpful when we first brought our second puppy home and he smelled AWFUL. Poor guy had a rough start with a very dirty kennel and well-meaning but overstretched caretakers, so almost every day for the first few weeks he got a good dose of this shampoo. Before long he was an expert bather and smelled lovely -- much better for snuggling :) Also, even though my dogs are fluffy and require weekly bathing to keep their non-shedding fur smelling clean and feeling soft, I like that this shampoo doesn't require a whole heaping amount to get good suds going, so one bottle can end up lasting for several months. This and the safe ingredients make it worth the difference in cost from generic shampoo at the pet store or wholesale store. Overall I'd highly recommend this shampoo for furry friends!

Worked miracles!

Well, I've always had at least two dog-kids constantly for my whole life (Labs, Goldens, English Springers, Poodles, Cockapoos) and I groom them all myself. So believe me, I've been around the block with coat clippers, combs, brushes, flea products, toenail clippers, shampoos, etc. My English Springer is a delicate girl with irritated itchy skin in the summer and she licks herself raw sometimes. She sheds and gets stinky from all the licking, poor girl....I have tried EVERY product over the years and after reading the reviews for this product thought I'd give it a try. I have to report that I washed her 4 days ago with this shampoo and it eliminated the odor point blank, in fact, it has a nice smell, and her coat is nice and shiny and clean! After her bath the licking and itching and scratching eased up more and more and here, 4 days later, she has stopped licking! Her previous red hot spots and irritated skin is back to normal. She is finally not tormented by those skin and coat issues! She's like a new dog! Her old happy self! I couldn't be happier. My dogs and I highly recommend this product!

I am really impressed with this shampoo. It smells great and leaves my GSD's coat very soft and shinier than ever. She is an active dog and likes to swim and play in the mud, resulting in frequent baths. Other shampoos used to leave her coat coarse, dry, dull, visibly flaky/itchy, and she constantly scratched. I tried using the best conditioners after the baths and even my expensive leave-in conditioners for my color-treated hair as well. I now only use this shampoo with a warm water rinse and nothing else. Have even had compliments on her shiny coat from other dog owners. Now I just want to be able to buy a much bigger bottle at a time.

wow, this shampoo works

I ordered last night and was expecting Amazon prime delivery on this Friday, 11/23. instead, Amazon delivered it today and allowed my dog her promised bath early! so thanks Amazon. inside amazon box, there is a 16 oz light pink bottle, as showing on the product page. bottle is in clear plastic wrap labeled new product and unwrapping was simple too. I live in north east USA with 2 GSD, and one of them has itchy skin. I have been trying on different products on her and she stopped scratching like 2 days top. She likes mud, she would dig or sit in them. then she is always itchy herself too hard and leave scratch marks too. upon luring the girl with sweet talk and treats, i was expecting an usual 2 men job to wash her, however she sit pretty calmly for me to wash her all by myself. oh, this product is very jelly too, and once it dropped to the tub it is a bit difficult to retreat in one hand. so i would suggest pour into palm of size no more than a shot, like 2-3 squeeze, then apply to the dog skin. compared to other shampoo i think she shreded less hair in this bath. however, with my boy GSD, i can see that most of his hair shred was the short matted under coat. no scratches so far! and with this reasonable price, i think this year's xmas gift from me to my friends with cat/dog would like this bottle.

Great for German Shepherds

This is honestly the best dog shampoo I have ever used! I have a German Shepherd and, needless to say, she gets stinky in just a few days. I have tried a lot of the expensive shampoos and nothing lasted -- not even the groomer shampoos. But this one does! Instead of having to endure her short-hair stinkiness after 2-3 days, this shampoo lasts two weeks! And it keeps her shedding and itching to an absolute minimum all while keeping her nice and shiny. This shampoo does everything!

Great stuff for dry skin/dandruff

When I first brought my 5 month old 10 pound bistonterrier home I noticed little white specks all over him. I also noticed he was itching after owning him for a weak I was convinced he had fleas. Before I administered anything I wanted to rule out all possibilities so I gave him a bath with this shampoo confined combo, afterward I applied some coconut oil (beware oil stains things like couches) and the itching stopped! We have been using this shampoo/ conditioner once a month plus feeding him eggs in the morning to help with his coat/skin and no more itching or flakes. Be extra sure to rinse all shampoo and conditioner out SUPER important for dry skinned dogs.
