Excellent, Ingenious Design!
This product is awesome! I've only had it a few weeks, so I can't speak to it's longevity, but so far it's great! It's easy to use and easy to clean in the dishwasher. I love the fact that the whole thing is self-contained. When I'm pressing tofu I can just throw the whole thing in the fridge without the need for a plate or bowl underneath, as is the case with many tofu presses. And pressing really does yield a much better, firmer texture in your tofu. And, so far, I've not seen any cracking in my tofu when using this press, the tofu comes out perfect! Just make sure that you read the directions and flip the handles on the top in the correct direction (inward) when pressing tofu. Flipping them incorrectly might cause them to break. It's not hard to do it correctly, just make sure that you do!

I'm not that thrilled with the tofu presser -- looks like two small cutting boards with wing nuts and springs ...
For anyone interested in a comparison between this tofu press and two others sold on Amazon, here's my take. I'm not that thrilled with the tofu presser -- looks like two small cutting boards with wing nuts and springs to do the pressing. It does the job of getting water out, but squishes my tofu out of shape and leaves it with cracks. No bueno, if you eventually want to cut nice little squares or slabs from your pressed tofu. Also, it requires a dish under it to catch the water that's being squeezed out, which makes it a real estate hog in the fridge. The Tofu Xpress works like a charm. I love it, and I've had mine for about 6 years with no problems. It's very easy to use. I must admit though, I worry about possibly breaking the handle like things that are used to hold the presser down. I'm very careful with mine, because if just one breaks, my press will be useless. Because I'm a vegetarian and eat quite a bit of tofu, I wanted another press, so that I could press more than one slab at a time. I did not want to shell out another $55 (with shipping) for the Tofu Xpress. I decided to try the Tofuture, which at $30 is still pricey, but $25 cheaper than buying another Tofu Xpress. I used it for the first time yesterday, and as far as I can tell, it does just as good a job as the Tofu Xpress. The tofu keeps its nice rectangular shape with no cracking. I end up with a nice dense block of tofu. The Tofuture press seems sturdy enough, and the rubber band things seems like they will hold up for quite some time. If you're on the fence about which tofu press to get, I'd get the Tofuture and save a significant amount of bucks.

Tofu torture :)
This is a high quality product. It has a bit of weight to the plastic boxes and lid that make up the product. I have used it once already and it did a good job of extracting water from extra firm tofu. I have now used this item several times. It works very well with firm tofu. It also works best if the tofu is a full block when initially placing it in the press. If you start on the first notch, press over night then tighten the next two notches of the course of day two the results are very nice. The tofu comes out more compact and holds its shape during cooking even when cut into thin strips. It is excellent for storing tofu in the refrigerator.

it satisfied all my expectations
A search on Amazon suggested several options, This press looked promising, in comparison. Having used this now daily, it satisfied all my expectations. I rinse the tofu, pat dry, place into the press and adjust the tension, leave in fridge overnight. My photo compares before & after pressing. Firmness, varies from brand to brand of tofu. I don’t entertain making a “meat” clone. However, texture and palette experience is key. Rehydration, with a marinate is practiced, the flavor of ones choice. Vacuum marinate overnight seems to provide many options, then a “air fryer” for an oiless cook. This press is part of my vegan protein prep, allowing me to control the process with no hidden chemicals!

Excellent product. Makes tofu a practical option.
This tofu press is superb. I've been using it every few days since I bought it and it's performing very well. It's easy to prepare the tofu, and the press is easy to clean. It's a simple and elegant design. I recommend it to anyone considering a tofu press. I used to dislike tofu because it's so soft and flavorless when it's used as-is from the package. Learning to prepare it properly according to western tastes has been a revelation. The tofu is firm, responds well to marinades that add flavor, can be crispy depending on the preparation technique. Because of this press tofu has become one of my favorite foods. I needed to experiment a bit before I got the flavors and textures I like, but it didn't take long, thanks to the youtube videos available on the topic.

Set it and forget it.
I've been a vegan for 13 years and I can't believe I went this long without a tofu press. So much more enjoyable cooking with tofu after pressing it. This press is different than all the rest as it as a tray that catches all the water. You can put the whole thing in the fridge and it's hassle free. Take it out the next day and drain the liquid and you're good to go. The other presses require a plate underneath and some require tightening and adjustments as it presses. I'll admit after reading some of the reviews here of users with broken Tofuture presses I was hesitant to order but I've just been careful with mine and haven't had any problems so far.

This tofu press is amazing. The price is reasonable
This tofu press is amazing. The price is reasonable, and I bought it with prime eligibility where other presses cost more and their shipping rates were ridiculous ($15 to ship something that weighs less than a pound and it's standard shipping? Um, no). I just pressed out my 1st tofu block and within 10 minutes it has removed more water than I would have been able to remove wrapping my tofu in paper towels and pressing it between plates weighted down with books and cans for an hour. the snug-ish fit around the tofu keeps the block from breaking- unlike other tofu presses I have seen, which is another reason I chose this tofu press over the EZ tofu press.

Takes up less room in my fridge
. I am happy I found this item . I was using things around my kitchen to press my tofu , which is great because it's free , but my methods were taking up way too much room in my refrigerator . I find this much more convenient . You can leave it overnight or you can use it in a couple hours . I noticed it pushes out a lot of liquid immediately . For one of the reviews were they said they turn their tofu into total mush ... i'm not sure if they put in the tiny cubes or if they clamped down too hard on the size of tofu block that they used because mine has always come out perfect . For the size of tofu that I buy I've only brought the little rubber bands down to the middle levels . I have not brought it all the way down to the bottom , that maybe too much . The only thing I don't like , and it's pretty minor , it leaves an imprint of their logo on the tofu. I just don't like writing on my food lol. I know a few other reviews said that they broke there's right away because they dropped it on the floor , I don't know about durability but mine has been pretty good . I haven't dropped it or been rough with it in anyway though . Since others said they broke there's dropping on the floor I try to be careful to not drop mine .

Great Tool!!!
This is a great tool for my vegan wife. It is great for removing the water from the tofu. Once you do that you are free to marinate it and it really absorbs the marinade. It is also great at firming the tofu up for dishes that require a more firm texture. My wife loves it!

The Tofu Press by Tofuture does an amazing job of pressing tofu
The Tofu Press by Tofuture does an amazing job of pressing tofu. I used to press tofu via bricks, heavy books, canned goods, etc. The results were okay, but never great, and often messy. i never knew what I was missing until now. Sometimes when I press firm tofu overnight with the Tofuture, I can obtain almost meat-like consistency (depending on the type and brand of tofu). I've also pressed tofu in the Tofuture for 2 - 4 hrs, when in a hurry, with good results (although not the meat-like consistency). And the great part is you can place the press in the refrigerator while it is do its job of pressing tofu. The product is simple to use, easy to wash, and it is BPA-free (per company contact). I would highly recommend!
