Worked great with the iPhone 7 Plus
Thanks for this great product! It worked much better than the smartphone adapter included with the spotting scope I purchased here on Amazon. With the foam inserts in place, and my phone's case removed, it securely held my iPhone 7 Plus for photographing the 2017 solar eclipse. The best always have room to get better, though. My wish list: * I'd love if the smartphone bracket could add a depth adjuster. With this, you could gently slide the phone closer/further away from the scope's image lens after mounting to get the focal distance perfect (after mounting to the scope). * I'd love if the entire phone bracket could swivel 90 degrees to use either landscape or portrait mode (after mounting to the scope) * Since the dual lens design is rumored to be changing with the upcoming iPhone 8, it might be great if the next version had plastic brackets to adapt the Snapzoom to either 7, 7 Plus, 8, or 8 Plus. (yikes) :) In any case, thanks again for the great product.

Takes fantastic photos and videos from your high powered binoculars
Takes fantastic photos and videos from your high powered binoculars. I've been using my Carson VP 8x32 and 12x50 binoculars to zoom in on waves from the pacific ocean from miles away from our house. Easy to use and set up. A must for any enthusiast that enjoys the art of photo and or video taking.

Snapzoom=great idea
I love the Snapzoom. I'm interested in birding and imaging other wildlife that I see outside my home window. Typically, when I see something I want to take a picture of it's too far for my camera phone and the field scope with its tripod is too much of a hassle to setup and angle. Having the Snapzoom ready to go on a pair of binoculars make imaging very easy (just insert smartphone). What makes the Snapzoom better than owning a standalone camera is 1. If you own a smartphone you can instantly send images to the cloud or text the image to your friends and family without transfer through other equipment. And 2. when you upgrade your smartphone, you can reuse the Snapzoom and binoculars. Also, birding apps now tell you what bird you've imaged.

Snapzoom Helped With My Purposes 9/17/2016
A few months back when I was using my iPhone 6S to film my daughter's graduation video I was scouring the net for any attachments to add to my iPhone. My goal was to shoot a short film with nothing else but my iPhone itself. At that time I came across Snapzoom and I had just saw a friend of mine win a Snapzoom attachment and binoculars so it got me excited to see what he could do with it. At that time I couldn't figure out a reason for the type of shots I was looking for to use something like Snapzoom. Well, fast forward to about 2 weeks ago when I realized what I wanted to use Snapzoom for, which was to record my nephew's football games for his high school. I bought my Snapzoom and one of the recommended binoculars from the Snapzoom website and a monopod. I got it in this past week knowing that I was off for tonight's game as I wanted to field test it. I set up everything a few hours before the game just to make sure I knew what I was doing. It took me a few tries to get my iPhone 7 (which I also just bought today) and binoculars to work but once a figured out the sweet spot I shot some test footage and photos of some outdoor plants and was excited. Then I attached the monopod and that would be the only area I feel I would exercise caution to other people. Make sure the screw is long enough for your Snapzoom to sit nicely on your tripod or monopod. At the game I set everything up and ran into a hiccup or 2 finding the right 'sweet spot' again but that wasn't through the fault of the setup, it was on the fault of the user...me. My nephew was playing at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii and our seats were pretty high up from the field. Right away I was impressed with how clean the look was looking at the players on the field through my iPhone display, the colors may have been a little off but that could have been on the part of me not taking a little more time with the set up process or just my lack of set up knowledge in general. Either way for what I did have on my iPhone screen I was super happy with- the ability to track and record individual players (well, track and record as best as my amateurish filming could allow). I am super happy with the results that I was able to capture tonight. I thought about the kind of expensive glass I would have to buy to be able to zoom in to get the kind of footage I was able to get with my Snapzoom gear and again I got giddy about it all. The only thing I know going forward is that I am going to work on aligning my iPhone lens to the binocular lens better and maybe over time upgrade my binoculars for some potential better results. Do I recommend Snapzoom? This is a very easy yes. It all comes down to what's the purpose with your footage. Mine was to create a video montage or maybe even a highlight reel for my nephew and with my iPhone or even my DSLR I could not get the results I was looking for. But with Snapzoom it was within my reach. Now I just gotta make it out to every game. Thank you, Snapzoom, for the awesomeness of your contraption. Loved it and will continue to love it!! Aloha and Best, Joe

Quick Easy and works as advertised
I received my Snapzoom universal digiscoping adaptor and binocular tripod mount in less than two days. Simple to attach quickly to my Nikon binoculars and tripod. Good results on 1st try in both photo and video modes even through a less than perfectly clean window pane. Great products both!

Build quality is great, instructions are wonderful
UPDATE 1-14-16 I have purchased a new pair of binoculars with height adjustable eyepiece lens (Nikon Aculon A211 7x35). With these I am able to use Snapzoom flawlessly. In fact, I brought it with me to the store to ensure it fit properly (see pictures below). Keep in mind, I didn't have time to properly adjust the Snapzoom at the store but even with this less than ideal mounting the pictures turned out great. Updated to 5 stars! Build quality is great, instructions are wonderful, but they won't work on binoculars that have low clearance from the focus plate to the outer portion of the eyepiece. A word of warning here before you buy this product. If you already own a pair of binoculars make sure you have at least 20 mm of clearance from the focus plate (thing between your eyes) and the outer portion of your eyepiece. If you don't you will not be able to get the Snapzoom to sit flush on the eyepiece, assuming you want to mount it as shown in the images. Without the camera being able to sit flush with the binocular's eyepiece you will not get usable pictures. I will get a new pair of binoculars (looking for this clearance) then update my review from that point. The reason I went with 3 stars is there is no documentation mentioning this distance only that porro prism lens binoculars aren't preferred because it might hit. I am not able to attach it in a stable way over one lens. However, this might be true with any binoculars plus a hard number would have been good to know.

Amazing.
This worked exactly like described and was very quick and easy to set up. I took the attached photos with an iPhone 4S and a cheap pair of 10x25 binoculars. I'm looking forward to trying it with better binoculars soon.

Very good digiscoping adapter
I can't say enough good things about this product. Setup was very intuitive to me, and I did not have to refer to any instructions. However, I did watch the installation video a couple of months prior. The unit seems very robust in construction. I initially had an issue with the buttons on my Iphone 5s with an Otterbox Defender case, but adding the included extra padding kept them from being pressed. I am currently using them with the Celestron SkyMaster Giant 15x70 Binoculars, with no problems. In my opinion it was a little pricey, but I am hopeful that it will prove to be worth it the more I use it. Communication from the seller was very good, including a follow-up, in case I had any questions.

Amazing Product
Amazing Product! I have an iPhone 6 with the smart battery of Apple and works perfectly also a bought the leef iacces and is the perfect match because I save all the fotos and videos directly to the memory! I have a Steiner Binoculars (Model Predator 10x42) and I had try with 2 other adapters (Carson HookUpz for iPhone and Gosky Universal) but in some way for different reasons they don't work for me. If you need some adapter and you have iPhone 6 and you used the smart battery of Apple this gadget is perfect, for bird watching. The photos show the perfect zoom that I could make with the adapter snapzoom. The setup is very easy!

Very useful especially if you already have good binoculars.
I ordered this to take a picture of a baby great horned owl in our pine tree. It arrive on the last day the owlet was with us and I got a very good picture of him/her. I already had invested a lot of money in some Lycra binoculars and thought how dumb to get a lesser camera that wouldn't utilize the money I already had in some top notch binoculars so bought this on a hope and it worked perfectly. I did have to come up with a way to steady it once I got everything hooked together. The tripod didn't work for looking up in the tree so figured something else out. That is a must. Too heavy to hold steady.
