• SIZE AND COLOR: 220 cm (Length) x 120 cm (Width) x 100 cm (Height). The size of the net is adjusted to suit a single camping bed and its army green color blends very well into the surroundings.
  • SUSPENSION POINT AT THE HEAD SECTION: Included in the packaging is an adjustable cord that can be attached between the loop in the top of the head section and any tree branch. This will give you extra space near the head and make you more comfortable when inside the net.
  • 225 MESH: The net is made of mesh with 225 holes per square inch. This means that the net is very fine and tightly woven and will keep out the majority of insects. The net is designed so that the bottom part is placed under your sleeping mat to prevent insects/mosquitoes from sneaking in from underneath.
  • SMART STUFF SACK: When not in use, you can store your mosquito net in the included stuff sack; this protects your net from being damaged and makes it easier to carry. The stuff sack can also be used for packing other items. The size of the bag, including the mosquito net inside, is 12x12x17cm, but can be pressed down to 11x12x11cm.

Need an ultralight sleeping system but don't want to spend a ton of $$? Get a piece of tyvek (which you can ask for free at any construction site - I've done it several times!), add your sleeping pad, then sleeping bag, then this Friendly Swede Mosquito Net Canopy over top. If you string a tarp using a Ridgeline, the Friendly Swede Mosquito Net snaps right onto the Ridgeline. Nice! Far less expensive than buying an ultralight bivy bag w/ netting. Thanks Friendly Swede!

Recommended, but you should understand the product limitations. It is very light weight, but just a small amount of wind will distort the shape and potentially raise an edge. Rocks or downed wood can be used to secure the edges. It is inexpensive, and that is partially achieved by no floor, and no zippered entry. I added a floor using a frost king storm window kit with double-sided tape, but I need to put the floor edge on the outside of the netting as quite a bit of wind separated the floor from the net. As to entry, if the net is staked tight enough to be effective, I had to unhook one corner from its' stake, then re-hook when inside. An acceptable process for a few nights given the cost and weight. The only problem was the plastic hook on the center cord broke, and I suspect a replacement would too, so I'll replace it with something else. Considering that all I needed was a bug shelter for a few nights, this was a worthy purchase that allowed my 3 lb tent to stay home.

Worked as expected. Light. Came with cord and 4 light stakes. If you were stuck in some Malaria invested region, I would get something with full enclosure/zipper. But this worked for sleeping in a bivy sac in the High Sierra in CA without the need for full on tend. For more security, one could try a different stake that had edges to prevent the stake from rotating in the ground (which would cause the canopy to come off at the stake). I liked it.

The net I received is a great product. We have had record amounts of rain here in the south and now we have an infestation of mosquitos because of it. Used the net camping last weekend and it kept all the little devils off me while I slept while still allowing the light wind to cool me off. Because it's so humid here even at night I prefer to sleep without a sheet over me which I can do in a tent but I always had to sacrifice the cool breeze to do it. Now that I can sleep in the open with just a tarp over me I'll enjoy my camping trips even more. If this sounds like something you've been wanting or if you just want somewhere to go during the day to escape from the noseeums then I highly recommend you buy this for yourself.

Does precisely what it is supposed to do. Plastic pouch is small and easy to pack. Good fabric, carefully sewn. Come with stakes for the corners. You will need something to hold up the peak. There's a cloth loop there, so you can run a cord from a tree branch. Notice that it does not have a base (I was not expecting a base).

I bought two of these for a trip to Costa Rica to rescue sea turtles. We were staying on the Pacific coast in little cabinas just 200 meters from the ocean and the kids used these for protection from the bugs. Both worked well - the kids ended up with only a couple of bug bites over the 10 days we were there (compared to other volunteers who were covered in bites) and I definitely credit these nets for a lot of that! The nets were roomy and comfortable.

I hike a lot and this gives me some extra bug protection . I used my camera tripod to prop it up and sat underneath while watching the sunset on my last outing- and those blood suckers hated me for it. It is fragile but no rips on my first outing. It’s so cheap though I can buy a new one every year if needed. It’s a nice addition to my lightweight camping setup.

So lightweight and compact, with a great carry bag. More durable than other similar items. Plenty of room underneath. It makes sleeping under the stars or with a tarp shelter much more comfortable, keeping out the mosquitos and spiders. It is durable enough to carefully use it as a net. I caught small fish and frogs at night at the edge of the water....no tears or holes made. Everything should have more than one use....and this does. Friendly Swede has many great products.

Bought this to add to my lean to. I was teaching shelters to high school kids at a survival training weekend. This neting working perfectly no bites while under the net. It fit my thermarest luxury map mat. Ill buy again!

I must say that this product was consistent with previous reviews on it. It is very small compact and very user friendly when repacking into the provided stuff sack. I was a little dubious about not having a floor but once it was tucked in under my bag, it stayed put all night. Plus it was very easy to tuck in around the head when I had to get up in the middle of the night. The design is really ingenious and very simple. You need to make sure that there is a convenient place to tie the line to support the suspension point. The use of a single point suspension over the head provides more than adequate clearance above the head so that you don't even hear the buzzing of those blood sucking varmints. I would certainly recommend this net to anyone who needs a good nights sleep during the time of the year when the mosquitoes are around and you are sleeping outdoors or in a Yurt. The fact that I could leave my bag partially unzipped on those warm nights was sincerely appreciated. Thanks for a great simple design.
