I was able to easily repair the gloves with this (exterior stitching)
I used this to repair a pair of motorcycle gloves. These gloves were ~$200 and a thread failed on the index finger which completely exposed that finger. I was able to easily repair the gloves with this (exterior stitching). I've been using the gloves daily for 8 months since the repair. I researched and decided kevlar thread was not the right choice.

Durable thread!
Used the thread to add tufts and bling buttons to a leather headboard I was making. It came out amazing and I love it. The thread is perfect and durable.

Perfect for durable repairs on clothing/coats.
I wanted to sew buttons back onto my Peacoat. Two buttons fell off and I didn't want to lose them because they were very unique. I ended up sewing all of the buttons which are 16 in total back on so they would be secure. The thread is strong and selection of needles is extensive. If I ever need another color I will purchase again form this seller.

i did break 1 needle (probably user error) but it worked great - i fixed an 8 inch rip in the seam of a leather sofa and this worked perfectly - the curved needle - great little tool for the hard to reach areas.

Give your stuff a new lease on life!
I love our couch so very much, it's a unique size and I was loathe to consider replacing it after a sizeable seam opened up on the arm. I was sure because of its proximity to the actual framework of the couch that it would be difficult to repair. This kit made it super simple. The dark thread was a close enough match, and the curved needles made my crude attempts at straight stitching look significantly better. New life has been breathed into my sofa and I am glad to have this kit on hand for any other repairs.

THE GOOD STUFF
By not being female I was never taught the ins and outs of thread, needles and sewing materials. I'm alone now and I have opted to repair what I can rather than throwing worn clothes away and buying new. No, all thread is not the same and it took several previous purchases to find what works best and this is it.

First off great product and I most definitely recommend it
First off great product and I most definitely recommend it! I was sceptical about buying at first because I always read negative reviews first and many people said the thread and needles are weak. If you know what the effffff your doing when it comes to sewing then yes the needles and thread are heavy duty as stated. I have repaired and modified several Mollie vests and gun holsters with the same needle and I finally snapped my needle today....the material I was sewing was so thick that I had to use needle nose pliers just to pull the needle through. The thread never broke though. The eye loop of the needle broke. I will buy this kit again I'm very pleased with the quality. I will be more careful next time. The needle that broke was the small moon shape. If I was using the straight needle I bet it would of never broke...my mistake

Okay
I bought this little kit to repair my couch. The light color thread is perfect to match it, and the curved needles makes it simple to do. The needles are a bit tricky to use, but are easy to learn how.

Fix It Right The First Time....
This kit will allow fixes deemed impossible before this kit was available. I bought it to repair athletic shoes, that had one large tear in each shoe mesh. Every other attempt at repairing those shoes failed miserably, lasting sometimes just a few hours before the strain of walking would cause the thread to break. I repaired a shirt as well. When one factors the cost of having to replace, rather than fix, this kit more than pays for itself.

Good quality—-too much side pressure and you may break a needle.
Here’s a great sewing kit if you’re looking for heavy duty thread and a way to sew it using industrial style needles. The thread is very strong and didn’t seem to want to fray at the ends. You can tell it’s a multi-ply thread. The needles are Singer brand, which is great. (Some reviews suggest the needles are cheapies and no-name brand). I travel for a living and use a LuggageWorks rollaway suitcase. It takes a beating and the ballistic nylon material was coming loose at a seam. This did the trick. I doubled up the thread with a knot at the end and stitched it up using the curved needles. I did put a lot of pressure on the needles and, like other reviewers here, did break both curved needles. But honestly I think that’s to be expected considering how much side pressure I was (unintentionally) placing on the needle at the time. When I was pushing or pulling the needle (as designed), it worked fine. Once you start pushing the needle sideways as you’re pushing/pulling, you’re just asking for it to break...and they will. Overall, I’m pleased with the quality and value.
