Works with iPhone X!

I bought these for my iPhone X because I wanted to improve the sound quality and pick up more of the sounds around me. As you know, the iPhone X does not have a traditional headphone jack. It does have a lightning port and comes with a audio to lightning adapter. With that, this microphone is plug and play! It was super easy to setup and it seems to work well in my initial testing. I'm so happy I found this device

As someone who frequently uses FaceTime and Skype for business purposes via my MacBook Pro I was constantly running into issues where clients were having a hard time hearing me because I'm soft-spoken but have a higher pitched voice. This product is a game changer! I'm not longer needing to raise my voice or speak slower for people to comprehend what I'm saying. This also means that I'm able to speak in a soft and soothing voice, rather than one that's harsh on the ears. I have not had any issues with the microphone thus far. I'm so happy I found this device! It's making my life so much easier! I highly recommend this product.

The Mic Works! But there is a lot of static

This microphone works! It really does sound better than the built in microphone. Even though it does there is a lot of static. I'm not sure how to fix that. I downloaded the app they told me to so it could work for my android phone, but I won't be using it because I wanted to record audio only. Not video and audio. I know how to make the mic work for the phone, but I would need another adapter that they recommend (the silver one). So I can use it for audio recordings only. I need to also figure out how to make this mic work for my windows 10 laptop computer. I probably need another adapter even though they provide an adapter for the computer. My computer isn't recognizing that the mic is pluggled in.

So good, I bought a second

I was very pleasantly surprised at the sound quality produced by this microphone, particularly given the low price point. This is my second purchase. I do voice recording projects. It's important for me to have a microphone with good range so voice sound like they do in real life. Too often, the cheap microphones make voices sound tinny. These are pretty true to life. There is slightly more ambient noise in the background compared to the expensive Shure mics but it is very slightly more. Once you run your recording through a noise filter, it disappears completely. I did not notice any response lag on the mic. This is important with voice recordings since there are frequent gaps in audio. Some mics tend to cut off a millisecond of the first spoken syllable. But these mics record audio very smoothly. Just a note - these were designed for use with smart phones, which have a slightly different pin-out on the audio jacks. To use the mic on a laptop, you have to use the included adapter plug.

Great for Video Interviews on iPhone

Did interviews using my iPhone for two weeks and it works perfectly. I even used it to catch a live performance of a storyteller who moved around the room and it picked her up perfectly without a cavernous sound that sometimes comes from using the iPhone speaker alone.

Astoundingly good for how inexpensive it is

I'm a an amateur videographer who does occasional paid work for small time clients. I also make a lot of videos for myself and for a couple of YouTube channels I run. When I'm indoors in a controlled setting, or have an assistant who can hold a boom pole, I'm generally going to reach for my Rode NTG-2 running into a Tascam DP-008ex. But when I'm doing kind of a run-and gun video and recording my own voice while moving around a lot, clipping this on my shirt and putting my iPhone in my pocket and using the free Voice Record app generates really impressively good audio. Not to mention it takes like 8 seconds to set up. Very happy with my purchase, and would recommend this to anyone who is just getting into videography or recording dialog, and wants a very inexpensive way to elevate their audio quality.

This mic does a decent job if it's held in a stationary position. Any flexing or moving of the cord and the recording cut in and out. You get what you pay for... 2 Stars ***Update*** The seller contacted me shortly after I posted my initial review to make it right. The microphone they sold me may have been damaged during transit, I received an upgraded version and it's great. This one actually works on both my iPod Touch and my Samsung Galaxy S8 without the use of the adapter. I intend on using the microphone for my motovlogging channel on YouTube. I haven't had a good chance to test out how it stands up to the high winds, I've got to add some windproofing first before I can honestly say that its good for that sort of action. Aside from that the microphone is very good at picking up sound, I've clipped it to my collar, seatbelt in the car, and have even pulled the wind screen to try and pick up audio between two people. Overall I'm satisfied, for the price you can't beat it. The "upgraded" mic is awesome, there's alot of cord that it comes with, for me I'll have to stow that since I don't need more than 2 feet but it's nice to have.

I like to read reviews before purchasing and I also like to give it a try after purchasing an item. If I don’t like it? I simply return it. I definitely recommend this small microphone because it works really well. I have purchased some other expensive microphones in the past and it was just a waste of money for what I was trying to do. When something is for you and needs to happen it will happen with the smallest things and the tools that you may already have don’t go crazy spending in pricy stuff. It just a brand, it’s just a name. This one right here it’s perfect. GOOD QUALITY! It works! Thanks.

Great for making videos on your phone!

For the price of this microphone it is a pretty good quality! I bought this to start recording youtube videos on my phone. I thought this would be a cheaper investment than a brand new camera and boy did it make the video quality tremendously better! I was worried about the length of this cord but it was long enough to work for what i needed! All in all an awesome investment!
