Just what I was looking for. Was raining when I got it so I put it together in the house. Fell right to sleep, Of course the wife got upset that she couldn't get to her seat but oh well!

I had my reservations about this hammock due to the price, but it is far better than any of the other stands that we looked found at Pier One. It holds our 12 foot hammock with ease and it is fairly easy to adjust. The inclusion of all the hardware was great.

I purchased 3 hammock stands before this one, and had to retro fit all of them with longer support poles on each end to make them work with long closed end hammocks, as well as a large bridge hammock. Also, they were unstable and would tip over easily. This hammock stand lives up to the claim of being universal. And the spread legs design makes it quite stable. I highly recommend it.

I bought this stand for indoor/outdoor use. I cannot comment on its "weather resistance" at this time. What i can tell you is i have been using this indoors with my 11 foot long homemade Gathered end hammock and it has been perfect! i weigh 300lbs and this stand holds be perfect and without any flex! Only this i wish the manufacture would change: Offer the ability to buy 12" extension pipes. these could be used to lengthen the stand even further for longer hammocks like the Warbonnet.

It has a large weight limit, is portable, and is sturdier than other ones we tried. Other ones stated a large enough weight limit, but were scary when you tried to put just one adult in them. This one can easily hold two adults, or a few kids with out worry about it breaking. Our camping hammock fit in it fine, but the metal hooks do rest against one of the metal parts of the stand, so I can see some paint damage there. Other than that, it is holding up very well, and does not make a lot of noise when in use. It does take up a lot of room, but less than a traditional stand. My son who has asthma uses it, and usually sleeps much better while sleeping in it. I notice less snoring as well. We bought a two person hammock for one person to use for full time sleeping - this allows for better positioning for all night comfort. Plus... NO dust mites! And, if it get's dirty, you can toss most camping hammocks in the washing machine.

Good bargain sits up and sturdy frame assures safety. Easy to assemble and all parts are included. Recommend socket wrench and plyers for tightening secure.

First, assembly was super quick and easy. No instructions required--it was so intuitive! The feet fit great, the whole thing is quite stable and it holds our Mayan double hammock. It has so many configurations available for different styles and lengths that I imagine it would work for just about anyone! And, one reason I chose this one, we can quickly disassemble and take camping! So far loving it!

I've been using mine for a couple of weeks now. I've used it with two different hammocks too. No problems at all. The directions for assembly are poor and you need a magnifying glass to see the diagrams however it will only go together one way so sooner or later you will get it. You can hang the hammocks a couple different ways so it will accommodate different sizes. It is sturdier than I thought I would get for $100.00 and I think I will be buying another one.

I looked at a few metal hammock stands on Amazon, with the idea that I wanted to put this in my living room. This is the one I settled on. If you are also planning to put this hammock stand indoors, definitely measure the space first, it's a bit more than 10' long. I have not used it outdoors but imagine it would work just as easily in a backyard. First impressions: I opened the long, thin rectangular box it arrived in. The box was in perfect condition. I took out each part, also in perfect condition, and laid them out(see attached photo) on the floor before looking at the assembly instructions. The metal parts were all perfectly clean! That was a slight surprise, as many brand new metal furniture items have manufacturing residues/oils or dirt on them, so I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean the parts were(yes, even including the few bolts for assembly.) Wonderful! Assembling the stand did not require any tools, all parts were included. The instructions were just a visual diagram, but with such a simple design, that's really all that is needed. I'd say it took me about 20minutes to assemble this all by myself, and so it was a pretty straightforward process. I set it up only a few feet from where I was going to put it, and it seemed easy enough to put in place, considering its a metal hammock stand. The last thing I did was I took a pair of pliers just to tighten down the 4 bolts. Assembly: Done! I set this up with a nylon camping hammock, which hooks over the two S-hooks. I have not needed to use the included chains with this hammock, so I cant say anything about the quality or function of the chains. It takes literally 2 seconds to put the hammock on or to take it off the stand, so that's nice. The stand included 4 thick plastic feet, which seem like they will indeed hold up in the long run, and those feet are sturdy and they blend in well with the rest of the stand. It appears to be easy enough to move the stand around if needed, although I don't know if it can go through a standard doorway while fully assembled, maybe just the base bars could come off if you wanted to put it through a regular sized doorway. Removing the base bars does not require bolts or any unscrewing, they just pop off with the button(although they seem to be nice and sturdy while assembled.) Overall I am very pleased with this stand! I have only had it for one day, and I would totally recommend this to others and would buy it again myself if I needed another for another place. It's sturdy, makes no noise, it does not wobble, it was clean and simple to assemble, and all of the parts arrived neatly and in good shape. I don't have anymore to say about this stand, for $90, which is what I paid, and I am not being compensated for this review, I just really am pleased with this purchase. Using my hammock is very enjoyable. Edit: I’ve had this a couple weeks now, and at some point the stand started squeaking whenever the hammock is rocking! It’s really annoying. I’ll try putting some grease on the hooks as I think that’s where it’s coning from, and will see if that helps. Will update again once I do. Update 2: I took a paper towel and rubbed just a tiny bit of oil on the ‘S’ hooks that are on top of both ends of the stand. This stopped all the squeaking! It doesn’t make a peep, now. Hooray! Now I can quietly enjoy my hammock. It’s now been nearly a month since I got this stand, just as pleased with it as at the start!

Good quality, sturdy, I sleep in a hammock, not a bed and this is the stand I use. So needless to say I use it a lot and it is still holding up. It is long and wide and not very portable but I need it for the house.
