This is an excellent product. It's unbelievable the amount of moisture that is released. My lettuce lasts much longer, especially if I store it in a ziplock with a paper towel in it to absorb any remaining moisture after I spin it. This little trick keeps my lettuce fresh and clean for salads for up to 3-4 weeks!

I've used the popular Cuisinart salad spinner for a number of years, and the hard plastic bowl recently cracked. I almost bought another one until reading reviews on Amazon. This Westmark salad spinner really is a professional, superior product. Greens get much drier than with the Cuisinart, and it's a much sturdier product. The soft plastic bowl shouldn't crack anytime soon, so we'll see. So glad I switched.

I've never owned a salad spinner of any kind before. But after seeing how my sister in law using one to get rid of all the water on her salad I decided I should try one too. I looked here on Amazon and made my chose of this Westmark Germany Spinner. I'm not disappointed at all the quality is very sturdy. I use the insert to rinse my lettuce then set it in the spinner and spin away. Very easy, all holds together and the lettuce comes out nice and dry. I should of had one of these years ago! I highly recommend this spinner.

This is our only salad spinner, so I can't compare it to other spinners. To me, it works very well for cleaning and well for drying. I put our gritty, dirty greens from the CSA into the basket, fill it halfway with water, press down on the top with one hand while spinning and it makes a little hurricane. I'm probably not using it correctly but even this way only a little bit of water drips out (I put it on a towel, which solves the slipping issue and the water issue at once), and the water is sloshing all around in there, so the seal is good. I dump out the dirty water (all the dirt and debris collect on the bottom in a little pile so you can feel very natural), do it again, and by the third time even some pretty filthy greens are clean. Another two rounds and they are "dry", which is a relative term but a lot of water does come off them. This sounds like a lot of work, but it is so much easier than my earlier process. It does not remove caterpillars, however - they can really hang on.

So I had this large spinner that I purchased via Prime Now. In the middle of a complex meal prep I decided to put the thing in the oven to get it off the counter for a minute or two. I bet you know what happened (image below). My version of reverse-Midas complex was given full reign. Anyhow the old spinner was so huge that it ate the counter as well as the dishwasher or fridge. The Westmark is much more sensibly sized. It does pretty much the same thing.

Love this spinner. First time I’ve used one. The only thing that isn’t perfect, is that while spinning, it’s kinda difficult to stabilize. It has 4 rubbery (silicon-y?) feet but they weren’t quite enough. Placed on a towel, it does well.

I really like this salad spinner. The composition is much more sturdy than any I've previously purchased and which has broken quickly. The plastic on this spinner is a little more pliable rather than rock hard. The hard plastic ones I've had have cracked easily. I think my only complaint would be based on a product review, not on anything I saw advertised by the product itself. A product review mentioned rubber "feet" or something that were great to keep the spinner from rocking along the countertop as you spin your salad. I thought that was a great feature. Alas, this spinner doesn't have that feature.

Best design and large capacity. Love the close-bottom outside bowl, which is different than other salad spinners I have (most of them have slotted bottom). The spinning mechanism is so smooth that I can spin with a couple of fingers. The closed bottom allow you to take the unit and spin anywhere. The other design force you to spin over the sink due to the slotted bottom design. Love the capacity that I can spin the entire lettuce head without tearing leaves. The spinner basket does not sit snug but I realized this is a smart design. It allows water to get spinned faster.

I'm a vegan, so eating my veggies isn't a casual kind of thing for me. I needed a vegetable spinner to help ensure that any undesirable residues were removed, and that I was able to easily remove excess moisture when I need to do things like roast kale chips. In looking for a spinner I went through way too many product reviews to the point where I had no clue what to try. I have a friend with the Oxo spinner but was turned off by finding out that the plastic top discolored and eventually degraded leaving small amounts of plastic on her veggies. And I was unimpressed by what I'd seen in the stores as they seemed either way to small to be effective or were awkward to use. And frankly I was hoping to get one in something other than the green that every manufacturer seems to think is best for cutting boards and such. So I started looking on Amazon. After looking at a bunch of models from several manufacturers I decided to give this one a try. In short, I love it! This is so easy to use - toss in the wet veggies, turn the handle a couple times and it is quickly done. The lid does snap on in firmly in place, and the mechanism is very smooth and easy to get up to the speed necessary to remove both liquid and small solids. I had no problems with holding it in place while turning th handl, and had to apply only a very minimal amount of pressure to keep the spinner in place. And loved that it was also available in red! I think that the best indication of how good this performs is in the actual results: I filled it with some "organic triple rinsed" kale, turned the handle three times and then waited for the spinner to stop; after removing the kale that tripple washed kale had left a visible amount of dirty gritty residue on the bowl. Yuk! Now I know my kale is clean! This to me is the best value for a salad spinner anywhere, and I would say that it makes this vegan very happy!

Before I purchased this salad spinner, I was using ridiculous amounts of paper towels to dry my lettuce. Not only was it time consuming and expensive, I still ended up with soggy lettuce! Enter the Westmark Germany Vegetable and salad Spinner. In less than a minute, my lettuce is dry and my paper towels are still on the holder. I love this spinner!!
