Bad ones. Good ones on chair legs. Bad ones w/ scalloped edges.
I have tried all kinds of felt and teflon pads from with various attachments mechanisms like glue on, nail in, push on, tap on, etc.. The glue on don't stick for long. The others stick but the felt pad fails. I tried the plastic (scalloped edge) "As seen on TV" ones at Bed Bath and Beyond but the plastic cracked within weeks My chairs slide across a tile floor that has divoted grout lines which scrape at the pads. BUT these MelonBoat protectors have been in use for 6 months and the felt hasn't broken down and the plastic is in nearly new shape. I am ordering more for other chairs. Finally, I can stop replacing the pads every couple of months.

Smoooooooth Like Butter
Who would have thought that chair leg floor protectors could be life-changing, but here we are. Prior to purchasing these I had attached adhesive felt floor protectors on my wooden kitchen chairs. I have cheap laminate flooring in my kitchen and the chairs. They frequently scratch, scrape, and catch on the floors making it a chore to pull the chairs in and out from the table. The felt was a dust collector, hair collector, and frequently fell off rendering them useless after a few months. Since purchasing these silicone floor protectors, my chairs glide smoothly on the floor like butter. They are flexible silicone and have pre-cut slats along all four borders which help them conform to the legs of the chairs. As shown in the picture my chairs have curved ends and I was afraid that these wouldn’t work, but the way they are made they fit and conform perfectly to the legs. They have a solid cork and felt bottom that works very well and has held up so far over several months. I have two rambunctious children who frequently are rough with these chairs and the floor protector has only come off once on one chair after roughly being lifted off of the ground. Great value and highly recommended.

Can't believe I lived this long without these!
I was very skeptical of ordering these but I am SO glad I did! They fit without issue on both my barstools and my kitchen chairs. This was a pleasant surprise because all the legs are slightly different sizes, but the silicone stretches for an excellent fit. No more scratching along the wood floors. An added bonus is these provide a buffer against my base boards so the bar stools don't scuff the paint. Even better is no more adhesive on the bottom of felt pads for pet hair to stick to! Love these! Will probably order more so I can have a couple spare sets on hand, but these seem pretty sturdy and I expect them to last a long time.

Look around for the BEST solution.st.
My sister gave me these heavy metal chairs and we have wood floors we have to protect. She bought these cheap stick on felt protectors. They did NOT stick very well, except to the floor. I remembered seeing some kind of slip on chair leg protectors. So I looked them up on Amazon and found these. They are wonderful. They seem very durable. They are a somewhat soft cushiony plastic, that is easy to put on the chair legs. Cheap solution that saves my floors. And they slide so nice now.

Great product! Just make sure to double check the size to ensure you buy the right size. The plastic casing is soft and flexible and the felt pads have totally protected my floor,

Nice & snug fit on uneven size chair legs
The legs on my chairs all have slightly different size/shape to them (see pix). But somehow these end caps fit them all nice and snug. This is because there's a notch on each side of these caps and the plastic material is malleable. Luckily not a hard plastic that I initially thought they might be and may have to force onto these chair legs. Quite the opposite. It was easy peasy getting them on. I am extremely happy with this purchase and wish I had known about this product years ago.

Perfect for everyday use and busy kids!!
We have tried several different types of floor protectors (both felt and plastic protectors) for our dining chairs that we use everyday and that are on a hardwood floor. All the other types of protectors would wear down quickly or would just slide off the bottom of the chair leg with daily use and three kids that can be rough. These have been the best protectors that I have found ! The design of the floor protector is what works- the plastic cup that hugs the chair leg. I did a lot of research and reading reviews before purchasing these because I hated to spend the money on yet more floor protectors that wouldn't last two weeks. It has been nearly two months and they are still on and their condition is like new- the plastic around the chair leg as well as the felt bottom. Also, I thought that they would stand out on my nice Pottery Barn chairs, and yes you and can see them, but they don't stand out as much as a scratched up floor, in my opinion. These will last a long while until I have to buy more, but I will be getting these again when or IF the time comes!

Awesome fit and ability to use
We have a nice, new hardwood floor that I didn't want scratched. It is a hand planed solid wood flooring that I felt could easily get scratched due to the many undulations in the wood. The chairs for our dining room set had nice plastic bottom slides, and they hadn't scratched the floor yet, but I wasn't willing to risk them scratching the floor. These glide as easily, or better than the plastic ones our chairs came with. The felt bottom is nice because it also doesn't attract dog hair (we have 2 dogs that shed) much. When I had measured, I took the measurements of the back chair legs. They were right at the maximum designed fit for the floor protectors that I bought. They went on EASILY. Unfortunately, I had not measured the front ones, and they were smaller! Lucky me, the floor protectors actually fit them too! They are the minimum recommend size for these. The only difference is that there is a cut on the sides that splits if the measurement is on the larger size - if they are the minimum measurement, then they don't. Neither ones on the front or back legs of the chairs fall off or move around. Overall, these are excellent, and I do not hesitate to buy more in the future (and I will once we get more chairs).

Love them!
I was having so much issue with the stick on felt for the bottom of our chairs. I tried these and they been great! We've had them on for about a month. The instructions say to put them in hot water before putting on the bottom of the chair - it makes the rubber a little more pliable. But I think they would have worked fine on ours without that. They fit will - if you lift of the chair they aren't going to just fall off, at the same time you can pull them off. They slide real well on the hardwood, and after a month, I haven't noticed any real wear on them - they are still doing great. VERY PLEASED!!

Best Yet
Had been using the knitted booties but they kept slipping and mis-aligning. Not to mention that they became huge dust and cat hair catchers. Because the bottoms didn't stay in place, the chair did not move smoothly, even though they were still providing scratch protection. The Melonboat protectors went on easily, and now the chairs glide smoothly. Can't speak to durability yet, as I just got them. But when they do wear out, I'm sure I'll have no hesitation about replacing them.
