I had been using the Colombian Security Self-Seal envelopes for many years, until I noticed that I could clearly read whatever was inside, despite it having a "Security" crosshatch pattern. Therefore, I set out to find a better envelope. These envelopes completely obscure whatever is inside with a repeating set of A's in a pattern - I could not determine anything legible inside vs. the Colombian envelopes. The sealing glue, while sometimes a little sticks to the backer if you go too fast, makes an excellent seal if you press firmly, and will tear the paper if you try to open the envelope alerting to tampering - so good glue in these envelopes - but you must press it down firmly to ensure good contact. If you require an edge to edge seal and extra assurance, purchase some Duck Brand Easy-Stick Double Stick Adhesive Roller, 0.31-Inch x 255.6-Inches, 4-Pack of Rollers (280307) and add along the adhesive already there. The paper used for the envelope is smooth, and works excellent for Laser printers and toner adhesion. The only changes I would make is make the glue strip taller/wider and end to end. Otherwise these are perfect envelopes and I will use them for life.

I don't know how you write a review on envelopes but here goes you get a whole bunch of them for not that much money and there self-sealing and the Privacy kind. If you go into Staples you're going to pay about what I paid here to get about 1/4 of them. After I bought them all I realize who's the post office anymore. So that being said I believe I probably have a lifetime supply of envelopes. But the upside is I may never have to buy them again.

The paper is very smooth and a clean, bright white. The adhesive strip binds well to the paper and holds the envelope securely closed. A pleasing blue design on the interior is nicely printed and does a good job of providing security and for these reasons I'd choose this brand any time I needed envelopes. The owners of the company personally addressed a small concern that I had and provided excellent customer support. Can't go wrong ordering from this company.

Price for the product is appropriate. The paper is thin and not very high quality, but it's fair for the price. The inside security markings are black (not blue like the photo) and seem to work just fine. There isn't any other printing on the envelopes like company name, item #, etc., so they make nice, generic envelopes for business use. The self-seal strip seems to be pretty sticky, but the strip could be a little wider for better security. Overall, it met my expectations.

As a business broker, I sent a lot of business listings through the mail. A typical job is a mail merge which might generate 300 - 500 envelopes. I was having a very difficult time with envelopes purchased from Staples constantly jamming. With these envelopes, I rarely if ever are jam an envelope in my printer during a mail merge. Very happy I found this company! Price is reasonable and quality is good.

These are about half the weight of paper that was in my last batch of envelopes - they're about half as thick a paper. It has me concerned. I hope they do the job, and I do legal services work, I don't need envelopes falling apart on me. It has me concerned, and I don't need this. Update 2-20-18: Have been using these for awhile now, and they're actually great! They solved a problem that I'd been having with manual envelope feeding in my printer. I had been using Office Depot envelopes, and apparently they had fuzzy edges and would rarely feed right - probably because it confused the edge reading photo cells in the printer. But these have smooth edges and I haven't had a failure to feed on the very first attempt, yet! Very happy with these now!

These work great in my Printer the self seal is really strong and seals nice and tight and strong, paper is nice and heavy all in all a great envelope, Not like the cheep ones that you get from a big box discount store and I thought a Great price!!! This is Sleeper steve

Fantastic Quality, Smooth material, Strong Paper, Prints great via laser or inkjet printer, The strip glues on well when the adhesive is removed, the inside is a patterned matte type material which prevents the contents from being visible from the outside, these are way better than the Office Depot envelopes where I have been buying for 11 years and here is a much better deal, not sure why I didn't order from Amazon sooner.

Use these for monthly mailings for my business. Had been using Columbia brand from Sam's for years until they stopped carrying them. Initially, I thought I might dislike these, as they seemed a little thinner. Then I realized that, while they might be slightly thinner, they are more compactly packaged which is a huge advantage when printing. Can fit twice as many into the printer feeder tray. Less printer jams. Has cut down my printing time considerably. Really happy with these.

For anyone concerned about the glue not being sticky enough as a couple of reviewers have said, don't worry about it. I found the seal to be just fine. The seal cannot be easily broken, any more than with a traditional non self seal envelope. For anyone concerned about the sticky portion not extending the length of the envelope as a couple of other reviewers have said, don't worry about it. It is true that there is about 1/4" on either side of the flap that does not contain glue, but I went back and looked at all my other envelopes that have non self seal flaps, and every single one of them has a 1/4"- 1/2" unglued portion on eitherside of the flap. In fact, I find these envelopes among the best as far as how much of flap is secured by glue. Again, I wouldn't worry about it. Thickness seems typical of a #10 24 lb envelope. I do not find them to be thin and flimsy, but then again, I am not comparing them to an extra heavy weight envelope (28 lb or greater). Look seems typical of a #10 envelope. Feel seems typical of a #10 envelope. Again, I do not find them flimsy, or should I say any more flimsy than a typical #10 24 lb envelope. I'm not a connoisseur of how envelopes feel, but these have a nice feel to them. Packaging was fine. Printing on an inkjet printer was fine. Overall, I would recommend them. If you're like me, you don't send a lot of things through the mail anymore (everything is done online or by e-mail), so 500 envelopes is going to last me for years.
