Best Invention Ever

Our hookup was just a bit too far under our travel trailer, it was a pain to reach far enough under the trailer to hook up the black water hose, this brought if out to the edge of the trailer. So much easier now! It went on easily but securely. I wish we had thought about this 6 years ago when we first bought the trailer! Being clear helps to see when things are flushing clear water.

Can't go wrong with this!

What a great item. It allows you to see when your tanks are empty and lets you see what is flowing out. Very, very handy and sturdy and inexpensive. The only issue I had was the stupid large label that covered the adapter that was almost impossible to get off! I had to really work at it and go to the store to get some of that Goo Gone, which finally did the trick, but it was not easy. The whole point of the device is VISIBILITY. Why mess an almost perfect device with such idiocy? I should knock down the ratings a notch or two for such a stupid thing from a manufacturer, but it is a nice device. Just get your Goo Gone ready and a plastic knife or something and get ready to work on removing the label without damaging the adapter!

Works great to make sure you flushed your tank completely. Better than the angled version which I also have. I found that in most situations the 45 degree angled version made things harder.

Perfect extension so I don't have to crawl under the RV

My RV came with both of the sewer drains way under the unit to where I had to get on my hands and knees to access them. This along with some 1/4" X 20 all thread rod to extend the valve handles solved the problem. Perfect extension so I don't have to crawl under the RV. I only wish they had provided a nipple on the extension tube to accept the rubber cord that keeps you from losing the end cap.

Worth It!

This product is great and allows you to know 100 percent when your black tanks are clean. While some people may not like to see what comes out of the tanks, it is a great way to truly know when the tanks are clean and not just empty. Using this, and my trailers san-t-flush black tank cleaning system, I have never experienced fowl odors even after long periods of storage.

Seems gross, bit it is really worth having to make sure your dump is flowing. I had a bad experience when the flush valve broke on my toilet broke, dropped in the tank, then and blocked the dump hose during the dump. And that was with a full black tank. Never want to go through that again. Still having flashbacks. At least when it's clear you can get an idea of what is going on before you have to disconnect the pipe. No more nasty surprises. Also can monitor how well your tank treatment product is breaking down paper and er…. other solids down. The extra 5-6 inches of added length was a help for reaching my dump station, so I didn't have to buy a longer hose. I didn't bother removing the sticker, I just install the adapter so the sticker is in the 6 o'clock position. the white back ground helps to provide some contrast to the tank contents.

Handy to have

I have to say that emptying the tanks on my travel trailer is by far the worst part of RVing. Having to see the water from the black water tank certainly doesn't make it more pleasant. Unfortunately it is the best way to be certain the tank is completely empty. Essentially what I do it look away when I 1st open the black water valve. I dont look at this valve until the tank is near empty. Even though the water is still not clear at that point at least there are no solids still flowing. If your sewer hose doesn't have a see through fitting this is a perfect addition. It is also well made and appears that it will last a very long time.

Gross but cool

I am laid up with a bad knee so I am writing reviews. This product is as described and works perfectly. It is super gross because you see all the "stuff" flowing through but its also great when you can see that it is just fresh water flowing through. Boys are nasty so my kids love watching all this happens. Thanks for the entertainment along with being tough and effective for the purpose

Very practical

This works well, it takes the guesswork out of the process. Every time I use it someone comes by and says that he wants to get one. I leave it attached to my hose. This and the drain connector on the other end fit within my bumper storage space.

Needed exactly this

We bought the Valterra SS01 Sewer Solution .. for our RV ... it was a fantastic purchase; but, when attached to the RV it came really close to the skirt and was more finicky than it should be. THIS brings it out just that little bit more to miss the skirt on the trailer. Love the Valterra Sewer Solution; no longer have to replace the 3" hose. Or deal with the big awkward mess which that can be.
