This product is absolutely amazing. My tank is extremely clear. It really helped a lot. My water looks so much more healthier. I even got a personal message from the company to see how the product was. I would definitely recommend to anyone with an aquarium.

This stuff is amazing and works way better than I ever thought it would. After I did a water change on my large and small tanks I threw the recommended dose. I almost instantaneously saw a difference. The water looked clearer, gravel and sand looked cleaner, and overall my fish looked better. I have a semi-planted aquarium, inverts, and both scaleless and scaled fish. Did not negatively affect them at all. I highly recommend this product.

I added a “progression” of photos. This stuff really helped. In addition to a suction gravel cleaner I bought, this helped clear the water! My 10 gal tank is still a tiny small for my goldies, but the clarifier seemed to have worked! I was nervous because I was told it will always look a bit foggy in that size tank. My ammonia I continue to test and working on that. Bit water clarity seems to be a good sign! Cheers goldies!

This is the second "gravel" cleaner I have used (Dr Tim's Waste Away is the other). To cut to the chase, these types of bacterial cleaners do work, but they are more subtle than you may think. They will not get rid of large fish food flakes that are rotting on your gravel (you need to vacuum those out yourself). But they are effective at digesting and breaking down the detrius that gets into your gravel over time. They also do act as nitrifying bacteria, specifically for nitrates which can help control that issue and extend water change times. Personally, I appreciate bacteria products for aquariums as it establishes a more natural environment for the fish. But, (and there is always a but!), you must be careful in using these type of cleaner bacteria. Never use more than recommended (error on the lessor side!) They can and will use up the oxygen in the tank and essentially "drown" your fish if used in high concentrations. At normal/recommended usage levels they are safe for all your aquarium pets. If you find your fish gasping for breath immediately stop using the product and do what you can to get more air in the water (bubblers and water changes will work). Because these bacteria will use oxygen, they respire CO2 and this will help your plants as well. Also, I would not use this type of product if you have a heavily planted tank and are using a CO2 system...this will be almost certain death for your fish due to lack of oxygen... So again be aware of product usage and its effects on oxygen levels. The product recommends using it once every week or two...I would recommend once every 2 weeks to be safest. Also, I would recommend a good gravel cleaning (at least the top of the gravel) to get rid of the large pieces of detrius first, then applying the product. The bottle will serve 1880 gallons of water...in a 75G tank, using once every two weeks, the bottle will last about a year. Another tip...don't use more than one bacterial product on any one day. Spread apart their usage i.e., use nitrifying bacteria on one day and then a day or two later use this product or other bacteria products...you want to give each bacteria product time to start growing and reproducing. Finally, this product has one issue that should be corrected immediately. Bacteria products do not last forever in a bottle. you should always know how fresh the product is and how long before it expires. The product should be clearly labelled with its date produced and its expiration date. Most products like these are generally good for a year, maybe two, if they are stored properly. Only buy freshly produced product for best results! If its been sitting on a store shelf or warehouse in an uncontrolled environment for a year or so look for something fresher...dead bacteria from poor storage and age is the biggest problem with these kinds of products.

YES!! I paid full price and I'm delighted with this product. I use high quality bacteria supplements like HD Right Now! Bacteria and Great Wave Engineering Bacteria Starter Balls. Not until I added this Gravel Cleaner bacteria as a third one did my fish act so happy and so active. They are very happy and so am I. Remember to keep your aquarium well maintained and check variables like ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. Even good bacteria is not a cure all for an aquarium that isn't well kept. Use Seachem Stressguard with all new bacteria, additives or any changes to help your fish adapt to any, even to the very positive, changes. This is a great product. Ignore the gloom-and-doom-your-fish-will-go-boom reviews.

To be fair, I am using this with a new start-up tank which I am currently cycling without fish to save them stress. I am unable to say how well the fish seem to like it but, it definitely makes the tank water sparkling clear and I expect my tank to cycle faster due to the addition of this product. While cloudiness is expected with the first tank cycling, this is the clearest cycling tank I have ever started. I do not expect my satisfaction with this product to change once I add fish, but I will update this review later when it can be more beneficial. I have previously used API Stress Zyme which is good, but this appears to be better at this time.

I had some fish pass after the use of this It was not the products fault just one of thise freak accidents were the oxygen in the tank went nuts. Any way I sent this company a email and let me tell you these people are amazing not only did they refund the product but are buying me knew fish because they understood how much fish mean to people that truely love them. My tank was crystal clear. I have dirty koi lol one being 10 inches in a 55 gal tank along with 6 other 3 inch koi. I will be buying this product for my salt water tank I’m just so in love with this product and company and I would have gave 5 stars even before all this happened. If you are looking for a great product that actually works get this. No I was not paid to write this lol truely coming from my heart

I wanted to use this product for a few weeks before I gave a review to see if it was consistent and so far, I am really pleased with the results. I've only had to do a water change about every two weeks or so, and that's only because the water level dropped and needed to be replaced. The tank itself has remained crystal clear the whole time. When I vacuumed the gravel, which stirs up lots of junk, within minutes of putting the cleaner in the tank, everything was pristine again. Nitrate levels have stayed low with very little cleaning on my part. So far, my fish seem happy and I've had no issues with any of them getting sick, as some other reviewers said happened to them. I'm definitely a fan and will be purchasing again!!

This is my second post on this product and still loving this gravel cleaner for all 3 of my freshwater tanks. Have read the recent reviews that it doesn’t work for their tanks but in my limited experience the positive effect it has on clearing black algae issues is worth its weight in gold. I don’t clean my substrate as it all rocks and heavily planted so I can’t speak to that, but my water is always clear with perfect parameters and I barely touch the tanks other than a water change every 3-4 weeks. I did let one tank go a bit longer recently and it caused an imbalance of course and a nasty case of black algae. Two applications of this product and almost back to normal!!

I purchased this item from Amazon on December 4th. I have a 55 Gal Fresh water aquarium with Hybrid African Ciclids, Gourami's and one Plecostomus. (Total 13 fish of various sizes) It is an old established tank, but I have had difficulty keeping the gravel clean. The day I received the Gravel Cleaner, I performed a 10% water exchange and vacuumed the gravel, then I added the recommended amount of Natural Rapport Gravel following the gravel vacuuming. The next day the tank was very bright and had much cleaner gravel. After 4 days, I repeated the 10% water exchange and vacuuming , and as of today (Dec 15th) it's been one week following the second water exchange and vacuuming, the aquarium's gravel and water still look extremely clean. I feel the Gravel Cleaner is helping the appearance of my aquarium gravel. I plan to continue the use of the Gravel Cleaner, adding some approximately every one or two weeks, and I shall see if it continues to maintain the clean gravel. Since I have only had the product for two weeks it is too soon to say how it will work on a long term basis. However, I am quite impressed thus far. I paid full price for this product, and was not given any consideration or inducement to write this review.
