I bought this coffee maker as part of my Grandsons Easter gifts...my son mentioned how my Grandson imitates him every morning as he's making coffee...that's what kids do. My Grandson never stopped playing with this all Easter day. Its well made & the different pods were a hit. I did have to come up with my own brewing sound effects but that's what Grandmas do. I bought a tray & little cookies so he could have a coffee bar & he had a blast. I prefer Melissa & Doug toys because I want my Grandchildren to play & use their imaginations instead of staring at a screen for entertainment. Children learn thru play...I learned I can make some awesome coffee maker noises

What better way to introduce your child to the world of coffee than this coffee set!! When we opened the packaging, my son had no idea what coffee was - which was shocking and disappointing because I am of the strong opinion that learning about coffee is just as important as language skills, reading and science. Honestly, most people would agree its more important than all those "soft" skills. When we started to play with the set and my son was introduced to the world of coffee we saw incredible leaps in his development. At first, he was only able to serve us (imaginary) hot coffee with a dash of cream and one Splenda. Talk about Lamesville. But, before long, he was serving my wife and I Doppio Ice Venti Frappucinos with a creme fresche topping and a light dusting of hazel powder. Today, his skill set is absolutely incredible. He is slinging coffee drinks like Tom Cruise from "Cocktail" and the entire neighborhood is loving it. We had a party for 83 adults, and my 3-year old son made all the coffee drinks. Our son has already been named a "Legendary Barista" by leading coffee publication, Coffee Talk Monthly, and has graced the cover of over 39 coffee-related publications. This Melissa and Doug Coffee Maker Set holds more power than you can imagine. Unlock it.

So I'm obsessed with my Keurig and I have a great love for coffee. I got this so my 3 year old could play pretend...but let's be real, I am training him to make mommy coffee. I love the little card to give my order lol. Great quality, too!

I bought this on a whim for my three-year-old for Christmas, based on all the five-star reviews. It kept her and my two-year-old nephew entertained for HOURS on Christmas day. (Don't even ask me how many cups of coffee they made for us!) At first I thought it might not have enough bells and whistles, but I think the simple design makes it easy to play with and fosters more independent play. Another hit from Melissa & Doug!!

This is so cute and my kids love it. They have made me endless cups of coffee. It is not very big but neither is our play kitchen space so that is okay for us. I really appreciate that it comes with two mugs and the options for coffee flavors. It is well made and still looks great months later.

I bought this coffee maker as an addition to my granddaughter's Kid Kraft kitchen and it fit in perfectly. She enjoys pretending to make a cup of coffee, just like mommy. She loves the mugs it came with and loves making me coffee and stirring it with the spoon. Melissa and Doug toys always come with enough pieces to capture the imagination and creative play. I highly recommend this toy! I will update this review if this product fails to meet my expectations for durability As an online shopper I rely heavily on reviews left by others when trying to decide what to buy online so I try to leave useful reviews for those products I feel strongly about. Please let me know if you find my review helpful. Thanks so much.

This little coffee maker set is so cute and durable. I put it in the little market I made for my grandchildren. They love serving and selling coffee or cocoa. The k-cups are interchangeable and the little red button at the top has a soft push feeling that they love to press. It comes with a little sugar pack, spoon, 3 k-cups, 2 mugs, and the coffee maker, all wooden, and a little menu. I put a coffee sign on a little wooden crate I bought to keep all of the little items in. The colors are vibrant and the set durable. I can see this set lasting for quite a while providing much enjoyment. I am pleased with my purchase.

I am a huge coffee drinker, and my son always wanted to make me coffee, but of course he’s three so it’s dangerous. This toy is the perfect solution. I order from him from the little menu card, and he brings me a wooden mug with “coffee” in it. It’s a very durable set and I love that the pieces aren’t so small that they get lost. It’s a fun toy that gets regular rotation in our house.

I went back and forth between this and the hape green version. What made me choose this one was the fact it had realistic coffee pods and not just small discs of felt. Pros: *made of wood *small for tiny almost two year old hands *nice color *two cups which are small but the coffee pods also can nestle in the top which is my daughter's favorite thing to do *cute sugar pack, cream carton, ice cube and spoon (all wooden) *price was very reasonable cons: *may be too small for older kids *comes with only one spoon/ice cube/sugar package . I can imagine in a home with several small children they would argue over the accessories. *there is no handle to push down into the coffee pod. The lid is just a wooden flap that shuts. The hinges look like an elastic pony tail holder and I worry that could break. There is a plastic button to push but it's a bit stiff. The hape brand has a nice handle much like a real Keurig. Overall very nice and the most loved gift my daughter received.

A few months ago I bought a very small set of kid's dollhouse furniture. Included in it was a few coffee mugs and a coffee put all smaller than a half dollar. The kids I let play with the dollhouse furniture we more impressed with these. They spent time playing coffee shop and making cups for each other and every adult in the room. I thought how nice it would be to get a fuller size set. While browsing for one I came across this play set and thought they might love it. They are used to seeing adults at our dinner parties use a Keurig and I thought that they would recognize this. The accessories that came with made their game of coffee shop so much richer! They can ask your order down to your preferred coffee type. Milk and sugar. Iced or hot. Then they can stir it up and serve it. The sugar packet went missing for a while, it is a very small piece, once it was found I set aside a bucket to keep the whole set in and we have not had a problem with loosing any pieces since. The youngest that plays with it is about 3 and has a great time, likewise the oldest, 6 has as much fun. I find the age range of usability is very expansive and I will have many years of play out of this quality piece.
