a very good tool
I used this for a project way beyond its intended use and it was a success. I used it to pull a rear wheel from a 1964 murray lawn tractor. it bent but did get the wheel off! with lots of brute force,an air hammer, and lots of WD40. i don't have a blow torch which may have helped, who knows? I am well pleased with this puller!!!

Functioned as expected
Functions as expected. The case is handy not not unnecessarily bulky. The selection of bolts is pretty arbitrary and useless to me. Honestly, I would prefer a kit WITHOUT bolts as a cheaper alternative. That doesn't take away from the fact that the tool functioned as intended. Threads are clean and strong and pulled a press-on crank pulley without issues.

I prefer the multi-legged design over more conventional two-hole pullers since the force can be spread over a larger area, reducing the chance of stripping when small screws or bolts must be used when pulling. My Polaris Slingshot, for example, uses 10-32 screws to secure the steering wheel to the hub and I prefer the multi-legged design when using such small screws to pull the steering wheel hub.

Great for the price
For the price, this is a good puller. However, this kit does not have 6mm diameter bolts (mechanics 10mm socket) so I had to scrounge a couple bolts to remove a Celica 2.2 crank pulley. With the right bolts, the pulley came right off. Could not have replaced the crank sensor and repaired the car without it.

Gets the job done!
The puller is easy to use and the centering bushing helps much! I used the puller to remove a stubborn flywheel from a 25hp outboard. The puller was plenty sturdy to handle several whacks with a 4lb hand sledge after tightening down and ultimately handled the required Heavy Duty Impact Driver without steipping or bending. The flywheel finally gave way to the puller, and I was able to subsequently rebuild the outboard (it had suffered a bad upper crank bearing and seal, letting water into cylinders). I was able to save money pulling tbe flywheel myself, which ultimately paid for the rebuild parts! Good purchase for up to medium sized pulling requirements! The hard vase is a bonus keeping the puller and accessories clean and organized!

Great price didn't even flex whike using. Quality product
worked perfectly and didn't even flex when removing the harmonic balancer on 2001 nissan xterra. I did have to purchase different bolts to fit my applikcation but I cant believe the other reviews saying the puller bent on them. Like i said it didn't even flex when using it. I needed M6x75 grade 8 bolts to fit my balancer and I also had to run a tap and penetrating oil before the bolts would screw in. figure that tip might save someone else some headache that it caused me

Right tool for the job
Well this tool kit is just what you need to pull the balancer off to remove the timing cover on many vehicles so a shade tree mechanic can replace the timing chain & sprockets or front main oil seal without damaging the Harmonic Balancer and it can all be placed back in a case for storage which is a first for myself having bought several that were just in plastic and lost by the next time needed so I'd buy this one again if I ever have too again it's a good tool for the money.

Did the job
I am not a professional mechanic, purely amateur, so this review is based on that. I ordered this kit to remove the steering wheel on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler so I could replace the clockspring. The tool worked perfectly for that situation. I have not tried it for other applications but as a steering wheel puller it worked perfectly.

Worked great to pull the harmonic balancer on a Camry with the 3.0L 1MZ-FE V6. The kit does not include the bolt size you need to thread into the balancer so you have to get that on your own. You need two M7x1.0 45mm long bolts. M7 is a very strange size, only Ace hardware had them in stock

Sturdy, simple, effective.
Sturdy and simple. Used this kit to remove the steering wheel from a 1967 Plymouth. The largest bolts fit perfectly and I had no trouble keeping the central screw centered on the post. The bolts and main screw are all well machined and I didn't experience any binding of the threads. Everything snaps securely into the case. For the price it's hard to go wrong, even if you do need to pick up additional bolts.
