I hd never seen these before and I’m happy I found them! Perfect to keep my tortoise tank at the right temp during the winter. They seem to love it. So much better than the light bulb version.

I actually bought this for my Coturnix Quail chicks. What a lifesaver. Literally. I had zero loss of birds and since it wasn't an actual light they did not pick on each other. I highly recommend it for birds.

Shipping was quick. I have a Exo Terra 40, (36 x 18 inches). I rescued two leopard geckos from a neglectful owner and I wanted to make sure they had proper heat to keep them healthy. I was worried about the light from a typical heat bulb, and I've seen a lot of bulbs returned at the pet store I work at. These ceramic heat elements are supposed to last many times longer than tradition bulbs which is great deal. The price is good as well, it is around the same as other heat bulbs of the same size. I like that it emits no light, because it doesn't disturb my sleep or cast an unnatural red glow in the daytime.

I will be fermenting beer in a chest freezer using a heat/cool temperature controller. Here in Arizona we can have 30 to 40 degree swings between day and night temperatures so this will be my source of heat to keep the beer in the range of 68 to 72 where it needs to be. Beer doesn't like light or I would just use a light bulb. This will provide the necessary heat to do that without exposing the beer to light.

Used this all winter for my parakeets. It gets cold and drafty in my house. Uses very little energy, but is an excellent product. I used it in a standard lamp. When it's particularly cold, I turn it on next to the bird cage. The birds love it and it keeps them nice and warm. I only use it when I'm home due to risk of fire.

Sir Zeus and I absolutely love this heat lamp bulb! It works fantastic keeping him and his 40 breeder size tank Toasty warm. I love the fact there's no light to ruin my sleep. It shipped and arrived quickly in excellent condition. Packaging was great to eliminate any breakage. Thank you I will be purchasing this bulb again because we're more than satisfied with product.

I use this for an outdoor cat shelter that I keep for feral cats and it keeps it a perfect temperature. Not too hot, not too warm. Most people probably use it for reptiles. It's a good alternative to heat bulbs, which usually emit some sort of light and could interfere with animals' sleeping patterns. I'd definitely recommend this product. I've had it on for 5 weeks straight now and it's still going strong!

At first I was afraid of getting too high a wattage and overheating my Rosey Bourkes (Parakeet sized birds). When this bulb arrived and I put it in a 6" reflector dome (from Home Depot), I was afraid it would not be enough. I positioned a perch directly under the heat lamp 11" down from it and the birds love it! They quickly figured out it is the warmest spot in the flight cage (the cage's glass front helps hold in the heat better in winter) and visit it throughout the day and sleep under it when they want to. There are other perches nearby that they can move to if too warm and still get some heat. This heat lamp is safe for bird because it emits no light to burn their eyes. It is also more energy efficient than the portable indoor radiator I had next to their cage to help keep them warm in winter when it gets cooler in the house. If you have a cage that gets more air circulation or is very large, you may need the next size up in wattage for heat. Always make sure they have options on how close to perch next to or under the heat lamp so they don't overheat.

The chickens love not having a light shining in their face at night. The heat is just right for our little coop.

This is an awesome product. I had been using regular 60 watt light bulbs for years for heat. Got tired of replacing them every month or two. This thing heats my Leopard gecko's tank very nicely and doesn't emit light so I can easily sleep at night. Sooo much cheaper than buying an equal quality ceramic bulb in a retail store.
