A perfect travel safe

I bought the blue one and took it with me on our last trip. I never trust the hotel safes because someone there has to be able to get into it in case there's a accident or something else. Maybe I'm wrong and then they charge you to open it but now I don't care. I bought the Safego in blue and took it with me and hung it in the closet between clothes. My family didn't even notice it until the last day and I felt very confident leaving the room with the good jewelry I'd decided to bring along safely inside. It's a great idea. And I get why they don't make black because they want you to remember to get it if your leave it attached to a gate if you're at the beach or something but I think for continued home use, to blend into the depths of a closet, black would be best. I love mine, I'm going to buy them for other people as gifts.

We strung this thru 2 beach chairs as suggested. We put 2 phones, hotel keys, cash and credit card in with ample room left over. It's just a tiny bit too short for a kindle. It was great to wander into the ocean and not have to keep looking back to see if our stuff was still hidden under towels. This is not a safe like what you would find in your hotel room, but someone that is out to steal is going to take something that is easy to take, not haul 2 beach lounges down the beach in order to get access to the contents of the locked box. We are frequent beach vacationers and I am 100% pleased with this purchase. Would definitely buy again and will give as a gift to other vacationers.

Best Beach Safe Out There!

I did some comparison shopping and even returned a competitor's product as unsuitable. I didn't want the safe to cost too much, but I needed it to be sturdy. It had to be big enough to hold more than one cell phone. I live on an Island and take my golf cart to the beach all the time. I need a safe to hold two cell phones, two Kindle Oasis readers, keys and cash. I don't want to be chained to my valuables at the beach. I want to leave my valuables chained to the golf cart. This safe is great for that. I got black so it would blend into the cart trim. The photo shows how I have it locked in behind a seat. The cable is long and strong , making it easy to attach the safe. I had an issue and had to contact the manufacturer. I got a call within a day and instructions that fixed my problem, so I unreservedly recommend this. I can play in the water or search for shells and not have to worry about the valuables I left on my cart!

I made the right decision for once!

I first purchased this in pink. I showed it to my friend who we were going on vacation with. She liked it so much I sold it to her and purchased another one (in blue) for myself. We went on vacation in Feb. at an all inclusive in Jamaica. I knew it would be used for the pool, beach, and if we went on any excursions (ex. a day trip snorkeling.) We could place $ and phones in it, lock it up and throw in the beach bag. I loved the hot pink, but I bought the second one in blue. More research showed it could be attached to the clothes rod in a closet. Hide it between hanging clothes. I thought the blue would blend in better than the hot pink. I might use it more than once a year this way! I considered another brand that is more "tubular" and has a large opening. While we were on vacation I really looked at the chair/loungers and discovered they wouldn't have worked for me. (neither on vacation or at home) I was really glad I made the decision I did. Yes, the storage space was tighter. But nothing was falling out of the sides and the ability to actually lock it TO something was significantly larger with this one. Also, I gave myself a perk. My old Kindle Paper White was too large for this..(3 + years) BUT the new Kindle Paper White fits perfectly! With a leather cover! I could fit cash, Motorola Modo Phone, room card, ear buds, and Kindle. The Kindle only fits one way, but I don't care how it fits, just that it does. The box shut closed with no problems. VERY happy with this purchase.!

Perfect Size, Easy To Carry, And Very Sturdy [UPDATE after 1.5 Years of Use at Bottom]

I've had this in pink for several months now, carrying it everywhere I go, and it looks brand new. I dropped it on concrete one time while carrying groceries and it didn't even scratch it. It is 100% worth the money even though it's a bit expensive at $49. You get what you pay for and this is important to me so I paid for the best one I could find that I could carry. I use it to keep my medications safe and locked up. The dimensions are perfect for something like this. There's no lack of space, in my opinion, with this box. I carry it everywhere and I've only gotten compliments on how awesome it is. Nobody's ever asked "why are you carrying around a safe" they're more like "that's awesome where did you get that?" It's impossible to break into without a passcode or key, even an adult, unless someone stole it and smashed it. I expected it to be much easier to break into but we tried as a test and couldn't do it. So no child could ever get into it and an adult would likely have to use a hammer to break into it. That's how sturdy it is. It comes with 2 keys, if you lose both they will send you an extra one. However, it's easy to keep the extra key in a safe place to not lose both. I added a picture so you can see the size of it compared to a typical water bottle (a pint or .9 FL OZ). It's not too big and not too small. It's an attractive size and if you're buying this to keep medicine safe and away from kids I can say this is perfect for it. I will use it at the beach for my phone, wallet, and keys as well soon. They all fit easily in it. EDIT: So I originally reviewed this item on 1/1/2017. This is an update. 4/22/2018 This case is still as new. I get A LOT of compliments on it and questions of where I bought it. There's not a scratch on it, not on the pink not on the lock, not on the keys, not anywhere. It looks brand new. Everything works perfectly. Have I dropped it? Oh yeah. On a variety of hard & soft surfaces. I just wanted to let anyone reading know, nearly a year later and a half later, it's as new. This was absolutely worth the money.

Great option for safe storage.

I bought this because we were going on a cruise and were going to be spending a day at a hotel beach in the Bahamas. I wanted somewhere to store a few valuables instead of just leaving them on my beach chair under my towel. This safe worked great. Not Fort Knox but the it definitely makes it much harder for someone to grab your camera or phone. We also live near the beach and it will get lots of use there. The safe is easy to lock and unlock and is well-made. Nicely finished and looks sharp. When I purchased it, I thought it was a little expensive but when I saw the quality of the fit and finish, I felt I got my money's worth. Locking mechanism works smoothly.

Perfect for locking up daughter's phone at night

We needed something to store our daughter's phone overnight that would allow us to keep it contained but would also allow for charging. The other safes we looked at had features we liked, but none had an opening for a charging cable. We like how much we can fit in this and will use it when we go on vacation as well. You can thread the locking cable through the mounting brackets of the seats in the car and have more confidence than just shoving things under the seat. This item could probably be broken into fairly easily if someone were able to take it with them, but since it can be attached to something less mobile I think it is a great deterrent. This safe was more expensive than we would have liked but will work for what we need and seems like a decent value for the money.

Not Fort Knox - Works As Expected

This little safe is just what I was looking for to protect our phones, keys, passports, etc. when we are traveling. To be clear, it is NOT going to keep someone who has an unlimited amount of time from breaking in to it but it works great for deterring potential theft. It is large enough to hold my husbands wallet, two phones, an i-pod, a checkbook and two passports. The combination was easy to set and to change. I packed it in my luggage and filled the interior with socks, etc. so it really didn't take up too much space. We went to Mexico and the room did not have a safe so we hung it on the shower door handle with a few towels to obscure it. We also attached it to beach chairs by the pool on a cruise so we could store our sea pass cards and i-pods while we were swimming.

Recommended for your next vacation!

I bought this as a last minute thing for a cruise and I loved it! I can already see many other uses for when we're doing soccer games at the Rec Fields or at the beach. The lock operated with ease and was easy to carry around. I got quite a few compliments and comments from the ship stewards as we re-boarded from each port. As for the technical aspect of it, do not expect an unbreakable, impenetrable portable safe. This is perfect for the beach, sports fields, pool, amusement park, etc. type scenarios where you don't want to leave your phones, cash, cards, ect out in view or simply just tucked under some clothing. It is not waterproof which was no big deal for us, I just threw in a ziploc bag or two if it was needed,

Purchased this for my trip to Jamaica just to be safe. First let me say that the product does hold much more than I was expecting. Whenever we left the beach we would lock the safe around a tree next to our chair, to our chair, or any place close by that we needed. The SafeGo was built very sturdy and I never had any worries about someone either taking or breaking into the box while we were away. The lock was sturdy and I never felt worried leaving my items in it unattended. I was able to comfortably put two Galaxy S6 Edge phones, lighter, keys, cigarettes, and a water proof camera in it at one time. The people we were traveling with said they were going to buy one once they returned after using and seeing ours. One thing that rally impressed me was when one of the cofounders of SAFEGO emailed me asking for my feedback and to see what my impressions were. That ladies and gentleman is customer service!!!!!!!!! I explained that we had not had a chance to use it yet and I would post the review upon my return. The only thing I would change or ask for was maybe a second model that is about 2-3 inches longer/wdier (left to right). If it had been just slightly longer I would have been able to put a few more items in here along with what I had mentioned previously. Otherwise the product was perfect and did what I was hoping for and even exceeded my expectations.
