Works great for cable building on my self built solar system. No complaints at all.

So far, max gauge use was on 6ga. It was virtually effortless. Makes good quality crimps, 1st time, EVERY time. The embossed numbering was a tad confusing, but I worked thru the less than great directions. To keep lug in correct position, just prior to crimp is somewhat awkward, but I developed a system that works fine for me...other crimpers I own are a ratcheting style, that holds lug w/ just enuf friction to hold, 1 handed even...that would be nice.

Absolutely awesome tool. Can't ask for better results.. I used it to crimp a 2 guage lug on welding wire, which was for a sound system. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic tool. Fantastic price. My only complaint is that the handles could be a few inches longer to give you more leverage. I used it on a marine grade AWG 2 lug, and it took some balls. I'm an old fart and low on T, so it took some grunting. Great tool though. Great deal.

Making cables to power an auto subwoofer and really needed these. Worked like a charm.

The interchangeable die system is easy to use, but try not to use the head as a hammer or you might jam it. Several size dies are included and you change them by rotating the teeth inside the head, pretty cool system. The lever mechanism is really strong but does not require the strength of ten men to compress your fittings onto your cable. You can do it with one arm if you absolutely have to. It is built pretty solid too, but again try not to use it as a hammer. It is a precision instrument after all.

The arms are long enough to crimp properly, but still difficult to use. No issue for a young, strong guy but I could see some people having trouble using it. The rotating crimp teeth are a little difficult to understand, but I got it to crimp pretty well. Glad I have this for auto grounds/power.

I do a lot of battery and electric trolling motor work and this tool is just great. I have made a wiring harness for a golf cart using information on making your own lugs out of copper tube that came with the tool. It is working fine.

This crimping tool seems to be very well built. The ability to change the crimp size without removable dies is very handy. You no longer have to worry about finding another place to store something else or losing your dies deep inside your tool box. So far I have used these to crimp some 8 gauge copper tinned ring terminals on 8 gauge wire for a job I was doing and the squeeze is very strong. The wire will not be falling out of these terminals. I am extremely happy with my purchase. These are a must have when working with larger wire terminals.

Very good Quality product. These produce a very tight, clean, crimp on 2 gauge battery cable it may easily do up to 1 gauge copper terminals but it may be questionable with heavy walled terminals that large. This is well worth the 35 dollars. It is made of well built and engineered components. I bought these wanting a smaller, more maneuverable crimper and am very impressed with the quality and strength for the size of cable they are able to handle.
