Dried Figs help in digestion and are a good source of several essential minerals, including magnesium, manganese, calcium (which promotes bone density), copper, and potassium (which helps lower blood pressure), as well as vitamins, principally K and B6. Compared to other foods, figs were found to be one of the densest in phenolic antioxidants and nutrients, mostly fiber, in a study on the amount and quality of phenol antioxidants in dried and fresh fruits. Figs and dried plums had the highest nutrient score among dried fruits in trials of several individuals consuming them with carbonated beverages. Scientists reported that fig antioxidants can enrich lipoproteins in plasma, protect them from subsequent oxidation, produce a significant increase in plasma antioxidant capacity for four hours after consumption and overcome the oxidative stress of consuming high-fructose corn syrup in a carbonated soft drink.

I absolutely love figs and these ones are great!! I order them all the time and try to always keep them in stock. It’s like having dessert but don’t feel guilt when I eat a couple hear and there. I store mine in the fridge even though it makes them a little harder. If you wait a few minutes and leave them out for a bit, they soften up again just fine though. And don’t freak out if you notice the texture and/or color changes a little after opening. For example, some may think it’s molding because they see a tad bit of white or something here and there. I have never had mine mold and have kept them a LONG time in the fridge before. That white stuff is most likely the natural sugar of the fig itself kind of crystallizing a tad, so to speak.....sort of like raw honey does. It doesn’t mean your figs are going bad. In other words, they are just fine. I order these all the time and have never had a problem.

So yummy! Half dollar sized figs are perfectly preserved, moist and sweet on the inside, outer skin is thin and you can eat them as they are right out of the bag. I like to dice one up and put on my Special K cereal for breakfast or on a cup of plain Greek yogurt, the sour taste of the yogurt combines with the gooey sweetness of the fig. Easy to cook a fig sauce using 4-6 diced figs, 1 Tbsp honey, juice from a fresh CaraCara orange, a few gratings of the zest and a dash of sea salt plus a cup of water. Simmer in a saucepan until reduced and serve over expensive vanilla bean ice cream.

Forget Milk of Magnesia. I gorge on delicious figs and prunes.

The figs were large and juicy. I really loved them. I ate too many at one time because I couldn't stop eating them. They tasted so good. I do have a sweet tooth, but I didn't have to eat any candy as long as I had the figs. They were so sweet. I just got through ordering 6 more pounds of figs. Can I refrigerate them in the freezer because it will take me some time to eat 6 pounds? Actually, I thought the black figs were prunes. I love prunes and figs. My next order will be prunes. Do you think eating so many figs and prunes is actually too much fiber? I guess it's a good thing that I live alone.

Really delicious and it's great to have different flavors

I'd been going with black mission figs for a while but wanted to try something different. These hit the spot! Really delicious and it's great to have different flavors. These figs + nut or seed butter = my favorite desk side snack during the day. Great nutrients and fat/protein ratios for those who are not worried about healthy carbs. Good value to go with the 2+lbs per bag and calculate the cent per ounce value. And please note! I get so tired of reading a lot of "mold" concerns when it comes to figs. Figs' sugars naturally crystallize and will sometimes make a dusty outer covering on the figs. They are still good!

Really good

These are very good. They are sweet, large, and just the right consistency. Not too firm and not too soft. They seemed VERY fresh. I also purchased the Dried Black Figs and like those too. There are a lot of health benefits too I researched and I mean a lot from just a fig. You should look it up if you're not familiar. :)

BEST FIGS ON THE MARKET

This is my second order of this delicious fig product. Remember when you were a kid and you loved those fig newton cookies? For those of you with wheat allergies or are just trying to lose a pound or two, this is the perfect solution. My husband and I eat these for dessert or a little snack in the afternoon. Even though they are dried, they are moist and chewy and have been dried to the perfect stage. I have even added these and other similar dried fruit to a chicken dish, with drizzled honey. Fig lovers? This is your product.

Will buy again - Completely natural, no additives

These figs are just figs - nothing more. They are from Turkey and a little dry but probably because they are totally natural. So far, had only one hint of a taste of mold but only that once so I may have been mistaken. This is surprising since, as I said, no preservatives are used. They are very nice, large premium figs. Light brown as pictured, I will buy them again ... but the bag is so large, it may be awhile. The Anna & Sarah dried fruits are a good value.

Absolutely love them....

I absolutely love these figs and the ones from Anna and Sarah are some of the best I have had. I am not sure if the negative reviewers are just overly picky, but I have never found a bad fig in the 4 or 5 bags I have ordered from them thus far. I would highly recommend these figs to anyone who loves the turkish variety.

I've purchased this item multiple times as well as the same companies Black Mission Figs. These are of terrific quality and taste. I recommend them without reservation as well as the black mission figs, which are really high quality as well. Best on the market that I have found anyway.
