perfect replacement if you killed your controller with a speed charger

Battery cm 2 in long gate the life of my dead controller, note to everyone do not use a Samsung speed charger with a PlayStation 4 controller it will fry the battery and perhaps the board, controller still acts funny and not sure that's the battery or if more damage from the speed charger but overall happy

Works Great! Took Five Minutes To Install

Removed the four screws using the screwdriver included with this kit, carefully separated the controller halves, unplugged old battery, plugged in new battery, snapped it back together and reinstalled the screws. I didn't even have to unplug the ribbon cable. The controller now gives me 10-12 hours of use! I was only getting about 5-hours with the (year) old battery. Recommended: YES!

Heck yeah!

I initially purchased 2 batteries of another kind that did not work in my 2 older playstation 4 controllers, and I was very disappointed. I was hesitant to order these because I figured I would just have another problem, but I went ahead and ordered 2 of them. When they arrived I was surprised how small the batteries were because they were a little bit smaller than the ones that come in the controller. I plugged them in and the light flickered out. I was worried. So I turned the controller on to see if it worked and was super happy to find that the reason they wouldn't charge was because they came fully charged already! Nice touch. I am so grateful that for $26 plus shipping I got 2 batteries that are working great in my old controllers and I no longer have to spend another $120 to buy 2 brand new controllers. Thank you so much, I'm very happy!

On my 2015 PS4 controllers they worked great!

I bought 2 of these for the original controllers I bought with my PS4 (circa 2015) I checked the model # on my controllers and it matched the models in the description and these had the most positive reviews so I bought em. They worked fine so far. Only one day in so too soon to rate reliability but these batteries are definitely a huge improvement from the 2-3 hours I was getting from the factory batteries. Install was easy enough. If you’re unsure just about how to replace the battery plenty of folks have made videos. So far I’m extremely happy. For 1/2 the price of one new controller and 15 minutes of my time, I now have 2 Controllers that work again! The kit also comes with some tools. I didn’t use them as I already had my own but it’s a nice touch. If you need a new battery for your PS4 controller, make sure your controller model matches and if it does, this seems like a great choice! If anything changes I’ll update my review.

To the point, this fixed the issue that my PS4 controller was having. The issue was that it would not hold a charge, and would be slow/unresponsive while plugged in via micro usb. I bought this and the quality was sub-par from the original in the controller, but the price was great for a quick fix. I'm doing this so you all know that this will fix that issue and if you want a superior quality keep looking. This one looks and feels kinda cheap. Hope this helps!

Fixed my PS4 controller

This battery came with a little kit containing a couple of prying tools and a small screwdriver. It's a little tricky to get the controller open without knocking out the front trigger switches. Basically just remove the screws, using both hands grip and twist the controller, and coax it apart with the prying tool. Then you just disconnect the old battery and plug in the new one, snap it back together and you're done. My controller needed constant charging. Now it's lasting all day.

Awesome PS4 Battery pack

Awesome PS4 Battery pack, it last way longer than the original. You can get at least 20-24 hours of gameplay from this battery pack. If the game uses rumble often it seems to shorten it to around 12-15 hours of playtime.

Purchased 2 Batteries

Both my controllers needed new batteries and went ahead and purchased these. So far they seem to be charging fine and hopefully last a while. Used the tools provided which made it helpful. Make sure to have plenty of space on your desk and clear things off. The tiny springs and rubber reset button can get lost easy once you open up the controller. If you've never changed out a PS4 controller battery I'd highly recommend watching a couple Youtube videos before attempting it. Hopefully Sony will make it easier to change out batteries on the next Gen console.

Great battery

I bought this for my older PS4 controller and it worked great. I thought it was going to be hard to replace, wasn’t! It took me all but 15 minutes to change & replace. I used it right away and it was fully charged. Used it till it died which was three days of playing & recharged very good. Worked so well I’m purchasing another.

Works in PS4 controllers

Finally got around to replacing the batteries in my PS4 controllers. I can’t beleive I waited so long, it’s like a brand new controller now that it has a battery life. I can’t say how long these battery replacements will last, but they got the job done so far. We no longer have to swap controllers every 30 mins. I replaced the battery in two “older” PS4 controllers, and they worked fine.
