Other technicians borrow this tool from me on a daily basis due to how quickly and easily it removes oil filters
I use this product every day! The reversible feature makes this product unique, although it is not suggested to tighten oil filters with this product as you will over-tighten it and could cause damage to the filter and or your vehicle. Where this product shines is its ability to fit so many different size filters. It is my go to tool for removing oil filters in a professional dealership setting. Other technicians borrow this tool from me on a daily basis due to how quickly and easily it removes oil filters. TIP: oil product with a light oil like WD40 before first use as the tool needs to be "broken in." at first it's gears operate roughly but with a little lubrication they function great.

This is the only thing that worked on my 2017 Jeep Compass
I love my 2017 Jeep Compass. The oil pan is super easy to access and the manufacturer made it easy to drain the pan. Similarly, the oil filter is easy to access as well but I could not for the life of me unscrew it. I tried several other products to unscrew the filter and no luck. I saw the reviews for this product and thought I'd give it a shot. It worked on the first try. What makes this better than others is that this actually could fit through the narrow hole under the skidplate of my jeep. Hook it to your ratchet with a 3-4 inch extender (not part of this) and you are done. I should have tried this first.

I had my doubts but this thing actually works!
The first time I did an oil change on my car it took three different oil wrenches and over an hour of sweating and frustration as one of the wrenches punctured the filter and made everything oily and slippery. I also put the new filter on pretty tight by mistake, so I knew I was going to have to get something better. I was going to buy the Craftsman version for twice the price until I saw this one for only 13 bucks. It had great reviews so I thought why not, the other ones twice the price anyways even though this isn't a brand name. Guess what, I just used this today and it took it off immediately, I literally thought it was just slipping around the filter and not grabbing on (I had a different wrench do that to me) and I was pretty upset until I looked and sure enough it was spinning the filter. I also only had to use a 3/8's ratchet too even though you can use a bigger 1/2 inch ratchet. I'm probably going to get one of these for my dad as a gift

It Works!! Money Well Spent!!
I bought this filter wrench for my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee where the filter is on the front of the engine. On many past oil changes with this vehicle It is a real headache trying to get a filter wrench on the filter much less in a position to turn it. I put this particular filter wrench on the filter and started turning it. I immediately thought it was slipping without grabbing. To my great relief, this wrench had broken the filter loose on the first try effortlessly. And there have been many times where the filter has gotten quite snug over time. This made the oil change definitely quicker than in the past. I used a rubber band on the jaws as suggested to keep a snug fit on the filter. This is money well spent. I'd definitely recommend this tool as an advantage to those filters in hard to reach places.

Good, versatile tool!
I bought a 2-year-old Yamaha XSR 900 with 900 miles, the last owner had replaced the oil filter with aftermarket filter and my cap end wrench would not fit. He had tightened the filter so tight I could not get it off with strap wrench or oil filter pliers, so I bought this wrench. This wrench worked like a charm to easily remove the filter with minimal effort. The plus is now I do not need to ever buy another filter wrench this should fit every oil filter on every vehicle (perhaps not on extra large diesel filters but who knows). Another plus was the wrench was not aggressive enough to puncture the metal filter canister which kept mess to a minimum. Good product - recommended.

My experience tells me this is an awesome tool and I doubt anyone will have a situation ...
My Kia Soul's oil filter was so tight that I thought I was going to have to go to drastic measures to remove it. It took a lot of force to loosen it even with this tool, but it did it, no slipping, no problem. I had borrowed a inferior version of this tool from a neighbor that kept slipping. This tool is well made, includes a 1/2 to 3/8's adapter, and it's arms are clearly designed to bite into the filter without slipping. I may never need this wrench again, but it was worth every penny. My experience tells me this is an awesome tool and I doubt anyone will have a situation where this tool wont do the job. Two thumbs up!

Great because it can be used for installation as well ...
Great because it can be used for installation as well as removal. Unique multi-purpose adaptive arms make accessibility easy. First time I tried it I wondered why I'd never seen one. Thanks! The filter wrench is a 5-star item. Things that were easy for me to do 60-50-40-30-20, even 10 or 5 years ago are more difficult as I age, especially since I'm one-armed. Removing a filter with a wrench designed to do only that is one thing;installing a new filter and maneuvering to get it on tightly is something else entirely. The ease with which your wrench achieves that is wonderful. Thank you. I was hoping to retire one day, but now you've forced me to keep working! Grid

Looks bizarre, works great. Getting the tip video is questionable process
It was time for the first oil change in my new Hustler mower. However, the oil filter had other ideas. It must have been put on using an impact wrench. I had mangled and dented it, but not gotten it removed. Making the whole process more difficult was how hard to reach the filter was. Then I saw this device. It looks like something alien, not at all your traditional oil filter wrench. But it worked in less than a minute! Definitely recommended. There's only one thing I don't like. On the outside of the package was a suggestion to send a text to a specific number and get back a link to a youtube video with tips on how to remove *really stubborn* filters. I did this, just to see what what they'd be. The video was a series of 3 ways to get a better grip or more leverage. The issue is that this looks like data mining. Why did I need to send a text to get the video link? Why wasn't it just automatically noted on the packaging???

While I have had this since December I have not actually needed it until recently. I bought it primarily for my 2015 Duramax to help get the filter off after I had to drive a screw driver through it and slowly turn it of (Thanks Chevy dealer). But the other day I needed to change the oil in the Wife's Traverse and they put the filter in the worst spot. I was having trouble getting the filter off so I figure I would try this wrench. I needed to squeeze it into a grill hole. use two 3/8" extensions and even then I was not able to quite grab the filter. I took a few photos but it barely grabbed and yet it dug right into the filter and without any effort turned it right off! It was then used on the duramax and worked without any issues. This thing is a must even if there is a chance at a stuck filter at some point. Might never need it but at least its in the toolbox! As you can see in the photo it grabbed right into the filter and did not let go.

A must have for very tight filters.
I needed to do the 50 hour maintenance on our Kioti tractor and had been warned that the bottom of two hydraulic filters must have ben put on by the strongest man in Korea. So, I ordered this. I am stronger than the average bear and with this a breaker bar, and a lot of pull power pulling finally got it loose, albeit with a slightly pulled stomach muxcle.. Don't think I would have made it without it. Warning, do not hook it to an impact wrench. After my first round of tugging on it to no avail, I tried that and it shook the device apart. Luckily I found all the pieces and put it back together and finally finished the job.
