The best applicator for liquid wax. This product is basically a block of soft foam wrapped in microfiber. Using this applicator instead of the round foam that comes with most wax products will lessen your chances of scratching your paint. In my opinion, this applicator is best when used with a liquid wax, like Butter Wet Wax. There really is only one downside. The applicator is hard to clean. The foam inside will absorb the product. This is what you need to do. Dedicate one applicator for each wax. So if you used one applicator for Butter Wet Wax, only use it for that wax in the future. The microfiber will dry out and the wax will harden. No problem. It will soften again when you put more wax. Just give it a little time and work the liquid in with your hand. Use gloves if you're using synthetic wax. Do not use the applicator while it is hard. Wait for it to soften. Chemical Guys is at their best when making these types of products. This applicator was designed by people who have a lot of experience with liquid waxes. This is perfect for use with their Butter Wet Wax. Highly recommended. This is the applicator for liquid wax.

I am very particular about keeping my 2001 Ford Ranger detailed and cleaned. The problem I have had all this time was that most all microfiber towels I have used made scratches, not absorbent, or just didn't work to my satisfaction. I can state that my problems have been solved with these awesome microfiber applicators. Also, I started learning more about the company behind these pads - Chemical Guys by watching their Youtube Channel and I love their videos that show how to get the best results on any detailing concern. I will continue to explore their line of products and if anyone has any questions I would be glad to talk with you or just send you a picture of my truck that looks showroom new with 267,xxx miles. Thanks for all you do!

I was pleasantly surprised with these. The added bulk of the pad really prevents the typical "roll-over" that occurs with normal applicator pads. I used one side for the wax application and the other for the wipe off. It worked extremely well. I then cleaned up with the the usual Blue Dawn hand wash. All of the dirt came right off and the seams were in perfect condition. I see some people use the washing machine for cleaning, but I 1) don't want car dirt in my washer and 2) don't expect a cheap car pad to hold up from washing machine abuse.

Well made and durable. Quick side note. I was not aware until a pro detailer told me that you need to wash all micro cloth and towels with a special microfiber detergent. I was not aware of this and I did some checking and sure enough it is true. If you use regular detergent and even worse (as it turns out) fabric softeners in the dryer it will clog up the microfibers making this just as bad as using an old t-shirt. I have washed these several times with the micro detergent and the towels and cloth still have that ultra grabby feel for dust and particles. I now own a black truck so I am being careful about swirl marks. I hope this helps as I would have made the same error as everyone else. Chemical Guys sells it too and I bought a gallon so it will last me years. Don't ruin your micro cloth!

I should have bought these years ago! I'm a weekend detailer and after seeing these on a few YouTube detailer shows, I decided to give them a whirl. Absolutely astounding product. Detailing is so much easier with a little "brick" of microfiber. Spray 303, Armor All, Meguirar's, etc. on these applicators and discover a much easier method of covering a piece of vinyl without the annoying over wipe that comes with using a towel. The 90 degree angles makes applications way more controlled and neater. Just thinking, would a microfiber wedge be a good product? Hmmm ;)

One thing that I’d like to mention is DO NOT MACHINE WASH THESE! It’s pretty obvious you’re not supposed to machine wash delicate items that can easily be torn apart. Whenever I’m done using them, I soak them in water to avoid letting the product dry. After letting them soak in water, just ring them out and if needed, use more water with very minimal mild soap. These are not as bad as you think according to top critical reviews as long as you can take care of them.

I do most of my polishing and waxing with a DA these days, but for tight areas these are great. I used to use the disc-style hand applicators, but these are a bit larger/thicker and much more comfortable to hold. You can grab around the sides instead of having to "pinch" like the disc-style. The inner sponge is firm enough to hold shape on a flat surface but works well around corner and in all the weird spots on every car. If you pick up a bottle of the chemical guys microfiber wash they clean up well and can be reused multiple times as well.

I used this with the Chemical Guys butter wet wax, and it worked great! One pleasant surprise was how wet it held up after using it. I washed it soon after using it, and I was surprised at how good it looked after washing. Some non-Chemical Guys applicators I've used in the past are effectively single use. They seem to be worn out after one worn use, even with washing. I'm happy that these seem to hold up well.

The first thing about these sponges is that they are the perfect size to easily hold in your hand while doing the job. The second nice thing is that they are a large surface size and hold onto a good amount of product, and help you spread sealant evenly on your car. Package size is very generous, should last you quite a few applications. Really nice to use, and I highly recommend buying these.

It was a nice purchase with a good number of items in good price. The color was a little bit brighter and I liked it. I used this on applying Chemical Guys leather conditioner onto the leather seats of my car. While the pad was a little bit thicker than expected, it was good to grip and scrub over the leather surface. I also purchased white and round microfiber application pads from Meguiars and it was a big and flat pad with soft microfiber covering. I think both could find its usage.
