her nightly treat. The first one I ever gave her (Maggie...13 year old Daschund/chihuahua mix) caused a LOT of bleeding in her mouth. I equate this to not having your teeth cleaned for way too long as I do work in dentistry. Each day the bleeding lessened and after a week, it stopped. I've noticed her gums are in much better health (she never had bad breath issues to start so I can't testify to how that could change). Recent vet check didn't indicate the need for a dental cleaning. Highly recommended.

I saw that this is a dental product and wanted it for my little 10lb Papillon. I cut them up in little pieces and throw them to her after she eats. These are the larger pieces. If you have a small dog you can cut these up. She begs for them after dinner and I do a count down saying, No More when she has reached the package recommendations. These are the large pieces the little pieces are too big for my girl too. Just cut them up. It cleans the dogs teeth and breath.

My dog is the fussiest dog that ever walked the Earth. He's walked away from freshly cooked filet mignon! Seriously! He usually hates treats that are manufactured. And, believe me, I’ve tried to find some he likes! At first, he treated these the same way. And I was certain that I had wasted more money on treats he wouldn’t eat. So, I turned it into a game. I'd count to three, as I do when throwing his ball, but throw the treat instead. Still nothing, though he DID chase after it. Then, one day he decided to try it after all. And there was one sitting on the floor where he had left it. He started to chew and discovered that he actually liked it! WOW! So, now I buy them all the time. I still toss them as a toy, and he still chases after them, but now he'll eat them, or save them to eat later! Believe me, that's a big deal for my fussy guy!

My dogs LOVE these. And they prices are very fair in my opinion. I ordered the large, pack of four, and there are $1 off coupons in each to use at the store. It doesn't last long with my 50lb dog, but then again...nothing does. I give the large to my pomeranian because he can work at it for a good twenty minutes or so. I bought the small version and it's basically the large cut in half. It isn't much thinner. My old Lhasa Apso (20lbs) has no probably munching on it. These are their new favorites. I prefer these over Milkbone Brushing Chews. It did not make them sick, but remember, every dog is different. I also tend to watch my dogs like a hawk when they eat bones and I have not notice them swallowing any large pieces.

Tried Greenies, and he chewed them. But when I give him one of these, he dances, tosses it, and plays with it - and then eats it. Appears chewy and that is what you want if it is to clean their teeth and breath. I cut them in half as he is in-between the sizes shown. So he gets 1/2 every day. He can't wait - doesn't even go out for morning pee until he has had this. So glad we found something he likes that helps his teeth. Will see what vet says when we see him again. My dog gives these 5 stars!

My dogs LOVE these. I can't afford to run out or I know I'll find an unpleasant present from them in my bedroom. They go crazy! They aren't easy to please treat-wise. I've tried so many different ones and specifically ones for their teeth since they're beyond picky. These are the only treats they go nuts over and never get tired of them. I have to keep them separate from each other because one will try to steal it from the other when they finish their own! They NEVER do that with other (dog or human) food or treats.

These work. I'm surprised as you are. I've tried greenies and other dental sticks and they never seemed to work. I don't like giving my collie lots of treats, especially processed ones, but I find I don't have to give her as many to make a difference. They are just a bit soft, so her gums don't bleed. Her teeth aren't perfectly clean but they are much better and her breath is tolerable, for a dog's. I only give her a couple a week. These are small/medium and you can buy the large. The difference isn't in width but in length. Even for a medium/large dog like mine, one of these is enough for a couple of days. I haven't seen her having digestion problems with the couple I give her.

I've tried all the dental treats around, and DentaLife are the best for Bentley. He LOVES "chewy" time. He looks at the bag when he wants one because he knows which shelf they're stored on. As for dental protection, I have no idea if it's any better than other brands. But at his last visit, no plaque (though I brush his teeth every day with Petrodex toothpaste from Amazon). I do think it is good as he clews long and hard, so I know they must be scrubbing SOMETHING in his mouth. WIth all those tiny hole, it looks like a sponge, which is good four countertops, so this is probably good for his teeth. Much better than other brands we've tried, and there is NO bad smell, either. I don't know what he likes about the taste, but he sure loves these things.

These are so much better than greenies. They are porous so they actually scrub the teeth to the gum line as the dog chews. These also dissolve and get mushy after contact with saliva which is good because greenies don't digest well and can cause choking and intestinal blockage. My dogs go crazy for these and I'm happy to give them knowing they are helping their dental health

I have a 16 yr old Jack Russel and a 7 yr old Silkinese and raw hides are too hard on their teeth and their stomachs. These chews are porous so when they bite into it it sinks into the chew right down to the bottom of the tooth. This cleans the teeth better than anything I've tried. My dogs love them and I see no adverse reactions or problems digesting them. Any dog would benefit from these chews but especially older dogs who need some extra TLC for their teeth.
