amazing with hot water and 6hours filledup my very large laundry basket with 30gal trash bag inside it

When I purchased these beads, I figured that they would be a little more than I needed for the vase and plant, but I would be able to find other uses for the little bit left over. So when this arrived and I say the package, it looked like it would be good enough for my needs. So, I did read the directions but figured I would use a little more, just cause " I know I can".. Well after putt the beads in water in a medium container and waited, I noticed that they were getting bigger ( as it should) so I waited about another hour or so, then they started getting to the top of the container and I had to switch to a bigger container. So again I waited and monitored the beads. And again... had to switch containers.. Long story short... What I thought was a little bit of beads, is a heck of a lot of beads.. The colors are lighter than I wanted, but its not a big deal . for the money, you get a LOT of beads.. this will last me a long time !!!

What's not to like? We pour a bunch into our two year old daughter's water table, and then she watches them grow and loves to play with them. No matter what we're doing in the house, she will frequently stop to announce "back yard, play water beads now! Here's a secret: I sometimes catch my wife alone in the backyard, playing with the water beads. She is fascinated by them. A grown ass woman. Just sitting there, squishing the water beads by herself. What a weirdo.

I bought these water beads for our three boys and two of them have sensory processing disorder. They were a big hit and my husband and I really enjoy them, too! The beads took around six hours to grow to the full size and we followed the directions to make a batch of them. The bag was so much smaller than expected but looks are really deceiving because there are quite a bit of them and they should last a long time. We plan on getting as many uses out of a batch as we can by keeping them clean and taken care of. The colors are great and my kids really like the clear ones because they are almost invisible in the water so we made a game of it. I have a foot spa so I'm going to have to try them in it now. I seen other reviewers saying they break easily and we have not had one broken bead and my kids were squishing them pretty hard. I pinched one as hard as I could and it split in half so I am thinking people may be letting them soak in the water too long. These are great quality water beads and I highly recommend this brand! The seller is also great and promptly responded to a message I sent them. We will buy more when we run out! I want to add one more thing that these have absolutely no smell to them, unlike other brands that give off a chemical like smell.

I purchased these for my boys, 8 & 9, to use with their slingshots just because they're soft and aren't likely to end in a visit to the ER. 1 tsp of the beads and 3 cups of water made roughly 200 beads and filled a medium tupperware container full within 2-3 hours. So far, they've been the least painful thing they've shot at each other. They pop fairly easily, which we don't mind, and they're great for what I bought them for. We live out on a farm, so I love that they're biodegradable and non toxic to the animals. I like that there is roughly 25,000 beads in this package, and the cost is perfect. I will be buying more!

I bought 3 of the 20k package water beads. Each package contained exactly 1 cup. We bought a 5 ft ( across) Baby pool and wanted less than half full so toddlers could scoop, dig, play, and stand in them. We put all packages in and even though the math called for 1sp beads=3 cups of water we used 12 gallons of water as to make sure not to have standing water in the pool after they made size. Worked perfect! They swelled to the size of a marble, we allowed them to soak for 11 hours prior to our party but it really only took 6 hours to get to size. We used them indoor. So to shrink them pack we lined a laundry basket with the same plastic drop cloth we used for the party and popped holes where the laundry basket already had holes and set them outside to shrink back up. As they revert- the water drains out. The babies totally adored these. We got tons of scoop, soft, sort toys from the dollar store and it was such a unique addition to our luau party ! The picture posted shows us in clean up mode. If I were to have wanted the pool half full I believe 160k-200k would have done it.

Easy instructions. Just soak in water for 6 - 10 hrs for the beads to expand. I thought the beads would be opaque and look rubbery after it's been expanded. Instead, they are transparent with a brilliance that's just like crystals. They even look just like real crystals. 1 table spoonful will yield about 2 coke cans' full of expanded bead balls. So, one bag would probably last you for a long, long time. Another important feature for me was that, it's non toxic, eco friendly, and reusable. Will be using them as cover for indoor house plants. It seems as long as they stayed moist, they would stay looking like they do in the photo. However, if allowed to dry up, will shrink back down, but if you resoak them, they will expand back up. One of the uses indicated on the label was, sensory play. My 12 year old son played with them in his palm and he liked it. I held them in my hand and rolled them back and forth, it did feel pretty fun and good as they felt cold, smooth, and bouncy. It's meant for ages 3+. But even with 3+ or thereabouts' aged kids, close supervision should be taken to ensure they didn't pop them into their mouths as they just look so beautiful and could be mistaken as inviting candy.

My students LOVE these beads! The feel of them is AWESOME! They even make a great stress ball reliever! I use them at my "Calm Down" desk. They are great for building my student's fine motor skills. I set up a color sorting center. They used small measuring spoons to scoop them into smaller cups for sorting and counting. I used them with my DoodleHog Art Trays. They are the perfect depth to hold the beads so they don't roll out and onto the ground. Doodle Hog Crafts Arts and Crafts Multi Purpose Medium Organizer Tray Set, Medium (Pack of 4)

These have been super fun and I suspect the bag will last us a year or more. It's a big bag, and we've been playing with the same (first) tablespoon of them for weeks. I rinse them off in a colander after playtime (so they don't get smelly or slimy from hand germs, as some reviews mentioned), and leave them in an uncovered plastic container on the counter. When they dry out and shrink (usually after a few days) I just let them sit overnight in water until they plump back up. They do get a bit crumbly if you let them sit in water too long, but we've still got quite a few left (just from that original tablespoon) in spite of that... even after loads of playtime. My 2 1/2 year old plays "bubble bath" or "swimming pool" by putting her little plastic friends in a tupperware container with the beads. She likes picking them up and moving them to different containers with this squeezy loose-tea ball thing (in the picture. I also bought the tea thingy on Amazon, and it's been fun for lots of fine-motor-skills games.) We've rolled them around in paint, on white paper, on a jelly roll pan. Also a hit: filling a balloon with the beads. It makes a squishy stress-ball kind of thing. Clear balloons work best, followed by white (so you can see the colors of the beads), but beware using water balloons! They pop too easily, and these little suckers are bouncy... you'll be finding rainbow beads in weird places for weeks. Easiest way to fill the balloon is to dump the beads into an empty water bottle, pull the balloon over the top and squeeze until the bottle is empty. The beads will try to suck back into the bottle, and it takes a few tries to get the hang of it, but it's weirdly satisfying and fun, ha :)
