My complaint is the effort that it seems to take to change the lighted handle to one of the two extra magnifiers. This afternoon I never was able to remove the handle and move it to the mid sized lens. I felt like I needed a third hand. What am I doing wrong? ****I reopen this review to say that the fault is mine! I did what I'm supposed to do to change the handles, but my hands/fingers simply are not strong enough for the job. I'd also like to add that this seller is just great. He sent me a smaller set so I would have two handles. Not often you get a seller that goes the second mile like that. The magnifiers are great!

UPDATE Very bright light

UPDATE: I am not writing this to knock this product but to mention how strong the light is. I was at a tournament and the director came up to me and complained the light was so bright he could see it from other side of convention room . A friend also mentioned the light was distracting when I sat next to him at a coffee house. I prefer the light to be strong not weak like other magnifiers. The magnifier is smaller that others used for reading but the light is VERY BRIGHT. Must be because it uses 3 AAA batteries. Good size for portability for carrying from place to place. Recommend. I have bought other magnifiers w/ light that are larger but the switch broke. This one has a switch that looks larger and more durable.

A superior product and great customer service

These magnifying lenses really are quality lenses. The handle for the lenses is comfortable, and the battery-operated light is very helpful and perfectly positioned on the handle for best use. I've also had the opportunity to take advantage of customer service, and it is amazing. I had a question about using the most powerful of the three lenses, and I received an email response that fully answered my question within an hour. I did my research before ordering this particular magnifying glass, and I can tell you that I absolutely recommend this product both for the quality and design and also for terrific customer service.

GREAT CLARITY AND WELL-LIT COVERAGE BETTER THAN EXPECTED!!

I am very pleased with the Magniphy magnifiers! I purchased both sets to be sure I'd have the magnifications needed in the future too. Your service was excellent and the packaging excellent too. The clarity and well-lit areas of magnification are even better than I expected. IN THE INTERESTING OF HELPING OTHERS: I'll share the mistake that I made in putting in the batteries. YOUR REMINDER THAT IT NEEDS 3 BATTERIES IS VERY HELPFUL. So I had three batteries and put in the first one, and then the other two batteries which are JUST above the first one, closed the battery compartment and turned it on. IT DIDN'T LIGHT! AFTER REMOVING THE BATTERIES TO START ALL OVER AGAIN, I DISCOVERED THAT I HAD PUT THE FIRST BATTERY (on the bottom) IN THE WRONG WAY!! AFTER REPLACING IT WITH THE RIGHT POLARITY...THE MAGNIFIER WORKED PERFECTLY. I had read quite a few reviews and the Questions and Answers before ordering, so I was prepared for removing the lens from the handle by squeezing the two buttons (one on each side of the handle) and I removed the lens from the handle BEFORE I TRIED TO INSERT THE BATTERIES. I think it made it a lot easier to do. Thank you iMagniphy and Amazon for making it so easy to purchase such a fine magnifier set at such a reasonable price! P.S. Nick, the owner, follows thru after purchase to make sure you aren't having any difficulties...and e-mailing: "If there is anything wrong at all, let me know so I can fix it fast." This Product is Amazing!

I rarely leave a review, but this product is definitely deserves a review. I bought both sets of magnifying glasses from iMagniphy because my mom has Macular Degeneration. She has been suffering with this for many years, and hates it she can't see to do little things like read a price tag or a label when shopping or just preparing dinner. She can no longer drive, so my sister and I take her everywhere. She asked if I could find her a magnifying glass that would work for her to read labels. We have tried everyone I could find, from every store and still they just didn't work for her. When I saw that these were for people with Macular Degeneration, I had to give them a try. They arrived very quickly and were packaged very well. They cam with 3 lenses, one handle, a protective case and a lens cleaning cloth. I really thought the 16x would work for her, but the lens was a little too small, but the larger 5x with the light worked pretty good. She was so excited but still I knew it could be better so we opened the second package and the 10x worked the best for her. She thanked me so much that I couldn't stop smiling all the way home. These are worth the money 10 fold!

This is the finest magnifier set I've ever seen

This is the finest magnifier set I've ever seen. The lenses are easy to detach/attach to the handle, even for my 81 year old hands. The LED light is extremely bright. I wish the set had come with cloth bags to protect the lenses but the manufacturer advises me such bags will be included in sets in about a month or so. As a "workaround" I use a pair of socks. The magnifier mounted on the handle goes into one sock; the other two lenses go into the other sock, kept apart by a fold in the sock. Works great. I highly recommend this excellent product.

Surprising Quality and Great Price!

I am VERY IMPRESSED! I was not expecting a magnifying glass of such high quality. The fact that the price alone implied that of a ‘lower to mid-level’ quality category in itself, would stifle any hope of anything more. However, even if one doesn’t stand firmly on the rule of life that “you get what you pay for” as I do, the quality level of this magnifying glass set is still apt to exceed the highest expectations of most. The magnifying glass set comes with three different size lenses. The largest diameter lens, (about a 4” frame diameter), provides 2.5x magnification power. The next size down, (about 3.25” frame dia.), provides 5x magnification and the smallest, (about 1.75” frame dia.), provides a very potent 16x magnification power. Along with the lenses, a handy microfiber cleaning cloth is supplied. With the largest lens attached, the overall length is about 8 inches and with the smallest lens, about 6inches. Each one of the lenses can be easily removed and/or installed into the main handle, which contains the battery case and LED lights. The lenses themselves were crystal clear and if there was any distortion, it was imperceptible. I would have expected to see a price tag of at least twice, if not three times, more than I paid for a single quality magnifying glass like this, let alone three of them!! The twin LED lights are powered by three AAA batteries, (not included), and therefore, supply 2.25 volts to each light. Many of today’s LED flashlights boast 6, 8, even 12 or more LEDs as a selling point, but only supply two, to maybe as many as four, 1.5 volt household batteries, (AAA, AA, C, D, and button cell batteries for example). Those devices will only supply 1 volt to each LED in a ‘best case’ scenario combination. In these consumer grade products, it’s generally consistent that an LED receiving 2.25 volts will produce a more effective light than one receiving 1 volt or less. (just sayin’). OK, so much for basic logic, back to the magnifying glass set. The seller, (“The Prestige Company”), was obviously very ‘customer satisfaction oriented’ and did not hesitate to check with me so they could be sure I had received the product as soon as they were notified by the carrier that it had been delivered. My point here is that The Prestige Company certainly didn’t indicate they afraid to encourage the customer’s opinion and if I was anything less than happy with the product, they definitely wanted to know. That promotes confidence in the buyer and lets them know they will not have to search out the seller if there is a problem. To me, that’s a very important point and if I could have given an extra star in the rating for that, I certainly would have! As you probably have assessed, I consider this product a GREAT BUY and at a GREAT PRICE! 5+ STARS!! Rich

A solid design with great features and quality!

For years I was using a cheap, standard style magnifying glass for working on my science and art hobbies. It got the job done, so I never put serious thought into replacing it. After some careful searching I came across this set, and I can't believe I didn't buy this years ago. The interchangeable lenses give you the entire lens to magnify with (so no smaller inset magnification). Having the option to swap out the three lenses, which I found to be a good variety, combined with the LED light on the handle makes this the magnifying glass I always wanted. Serious thought and love was put into it's design. I highly recommend!

Works great

It's better than I thought it would be. I like the included draw string bag that you can use to throw everything into it. I also appreciated the dummy-proof instructions which explain that there are 3 batteries (not included) that you need to install. I wish all products that required assembly were that clear with the instructions. The lenses are a little difficult to change out because of the 2 buttons that you have to push on each side, but that's ok. I can now read medicine bottles that I couldn't read before.

Very nice set

Easy to hold. Very light. even with 3 AAA batteries. Very comfortable handle. the black sections have a rubber feel to them so it doesn't slide out of your hand. Overall it feels well built and solid for the price. Works well with all 3 attachments. Easy to change the heads. just hold the 2 little side buttons and wiggle gently until it comes off and pop in the others. The 2 lights are bright and located at the top of the handle right before where the glass section attaches which is a nice design for cutting the glare down to a minimum. I've tried other lighted magnifiers (like MagniPros) where the lights encircle the glass which is kinda overkill and makes it harder for me to see. This one is perfect for illuminating clearly. The box it comes in was a little squashed as it was sent inside a bubble mailer but the interior plastic mold seems to have protected the lenses and handle sufficiently. Comes with a storage bag and a microfiber cloth.
