Easily the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. I bought the Sahara version at the suggestion of many colleges who liked that color. Ideally I wish they were a little darker, would go better with khaki pants if they were. However I'm told that they do darken up with use and age. Also if I wanted to speed up the process, mink oil could be used to darken them significantly although temporarily. Still, these shoes were well worth the price I paid for them and fit better than any shoe I've ever owned with 9 extra wide.

I've worn Top-Siders for years as a casual shoe around the beach, pool, and anywhere in the summer. I was a bit concerned with some of the reviews suggesting the quality had gone down, but decided to replace my almost ten year old top-siders anyway. I was not disappointed at all...the shoes still have the same great quality and comfortable fit right out of the box. While the price has inched up a bit since my last pair I still find them to be an exceptional value. I make a point of applying a thorough coat of clear wax to seal the leather...especially working the wax into the seam between the uppers and sole...it seems to make them last longer. Sizes are spot on...although I never wear socks with these shoes I guess you could, but might need to adjust the size accordingly. Hopefully these will last ten years as well. My highest recommendation.

I've tried many other brands lately - Rockport is not what they used to be since the brand was sold off, Dockers fall apart from the inside and others I can't remember because I shipped them back for a refund too quickly. The Sperrys are no nonsense shoes that look exactly like the pictures and are comfortable, well-made from my observations of the first two weeks of wearing and solidly made. No complaints and feel like I've found a boat shoe I can live with now and be happy to wear to casual and slightly less than dress-up events. Seem to be fine for the average arch to even a flatter foot and the size was dead on for my wider feet. Try them and if you don't like them, ship 'em back per Amazon's excellent return policy!

I have a tough time buying shoes because I'm a 12.5 and somewhere between a wide and a regular width. I haven't had a pair of topsiders since I was a kid in the eighties so I didn't know what to expect with the sizing. I plan on wearing them without socks so I got a size 12 wide. They fit perfectly. I was really surprised how soft the leather is. They started to break in after about 20 minutes of wear. I cant wait until they get all beat up and worn. That's when they look the best. Now I have to buy more in other colors. The wife is going to kill me.

These are exactly what I was expecting. They seem to be the traditional Sperry Topsiders, perhaps not quite up to the quality of those made in the U.S. (at least from what I recall), but quite good nonetheless. I am a pretty spot-on men's 9 1/2 medium and these fit very well. Not being terribly hard on shoes in general, having worn these several times now - they are comfortable and I anticipate they will hold up well. I did buy them for their style and comfort, not for their function as a true boat shoe, so I can't comment on that.

I love boat shoes and where them almost every day of my life. My wife tells me I should rotate my shoes to provide better wear....but I never do. The last pair of Sperry Top-Sider shoes lasted for 2+ years of daily wear. I love them because the leather will stretch to the shape of my feet, which are very wide. It takes a few days to get them comfortable. But then it's like I am not wearing shoes at all (which is exactly what I want!). I really like that boat shoes barely have any arch support. For some reason I am more comfortable with flat shoes (even though my wife and doctor are always telling me to wear shoes with strong arch support). I don't like those shoes. I like these shoes. They work for me in almost every situation. I want to be casual and comfortable. And Sperry Top-Sider are just that.

My shoe of choice for casual wear for the last 6 years or so. Although some complain about declines in build and material quality, I haven't noticed much difference among the pairs I've owned. These tend to last quite awhile and clean up easily. I finally replaced my last pair after about two years once the sole started to detach itself on the back end, although at that point they were sorely in need of retiring anyways. I can't recommend these shoes enough - they're comfortable, look great, and well made. My only disclaimer is that the minimal cushioning can result in some sore feet if you spend the entire day walking (i.e. while traveling). And ironically, for "boat shoes", wet traction on anything but a roughened surface is pretty poor.

First of all, I should note that the first pair of dock shoes I ordered ended up being a half-size too large. The Seller was VERY accommodating, offering to send me the correct size immediately, i.e., before receiving the return pair. Once I got the second pair, they fit perfectly and appeared to be of the usual Sperry top quality. I've worn the shoes for a couple of days to break them in prior to my cruise trip to the South Pacific, but, honestly, they were pretty comfortable from the moment I first put them on. I am very happy with this purchase, and very grateful for the Seller's attitude throughout.

I bought my first pair of top-sliders at Disney World. I wore them most of the trip (7-14 miles a day) and then about half the week for the next 3 years. They are simply amazing. Comfortable, breathable, real leather and you can wear them without socks. This is my second pair of the originals and third pair of sperry branded shoes. All of them have been wonderful. The upper being 100% genuine leather is a big seller for me. The ball of my feet tend to be wide and they stretch very well. Seem to fit true to shoe size.

I am a competitive sailor. I also like having a shoe that looks pretty good under casual conditions and that I can just slip on at the last minute. The Sperry Top-Sider fits the bill on all fronts. This shoe is excellent on a wet, listing deck. I do occasionally wear a shoe for certain conditions when sailing, namely if it's quite hot and my feet are guaranteed to be getting sopping wet. But, even when it's chilly outside, I will race in these while wearing Gore Tex socks. Great shoes. They've been around forever for a reason.
