We use this tape for slug prevention for our outdoor product plants. It works extremely well without killing the little beasties. Not that I care, you understand, but if my Buddhist friends are right, even the slugs in my garden were somebody's baby once. Yuck! This tape also has a known effectiveness in preventing moss accumulation on the roof. Simply apply it to both sides of the roof's apex. The rain water will ionize the tape, and the copper ions will flow down the roof surface, killing the moss along the way. And killing moss is something I don't mind, in case you were wondering. :) I am pleased to recommend this product. The copper coverage is rich, and the size is very convenient if you have multiple uses in mind.

Two years ago I put this tape around a pot with a beautiful hosta that was being eaten by slugs. The same tape is still working and the plant is thriving. Growing fresh basil is difficult in the Pacific Northwest because of slugs but making a barrier and applying a circle of this tape works! It sticks well, easy to apply, and has lived though the torrential rain and 100 degree weather. I highly recommend over slug "bait", which is just that -- bait that attracts slugs.

Update. The tape has worked thus far in stopping slugs/snails from reaching plant after a week. Glad I tried this. Tip is make sure tape is wide enough that the little buggers cannot stretch over.

This tape is especially great for electrical shielding because of it's adhesive. I know some people use these on electric guitars, however I've only used it to electronically shield wiring. The adhesive is quite strong and the tape is thick enough to not tear easily but thin enough to be easily manipulated. Be wary of it's edges because they will cut very deep. In my application, I surrounded power wires and speaker wires individually and then used a braided nylon sheath to keep the edges from scratching the vinyl trim or cutting the carpet in my car audio installation.

I have a very expensive plant in a large pot. I also live in a damp climate that snails and slugs thrive in. The snails really like this particular plant so I put a ring of copper tape around the top of the pot. No more snails. The only problem I had and it probably isn't worth mentioning was trying to get it started. I had a hard time peeling the tape from the backing until I tore a tiny bit off the end. That made it much easier to get a finger nail under and get it started. After that there were no more problems.

Very, very happy with my purchase of copper tape. I had heard it would deter garden slugs from crawling into potted plants & eating the flowers. IT WORKS!! I put a double row of tape around each planter & it not only dresses up the planter but I haven't lost any flowers this year. I am delighted!! On the packaging holding the tape it cautions to beware of cutting yourself, because the tape is made of paper thin metal. Well, me being me, I gave myself a pretty good slice on the first strip of tape I applied. After that lesson was learned the hard way, I was more careful & no more cuts! I bought 2 rolls of metal tape because I wasn't sure how much I would need. As I said, I put double rows on each planter, and after filling 10 good sized pots with plants I still had a small amount left on the first roll & was able to save the second roll for my next round of planting. I am a very happy shopper!!!!!

I used this to shield the control cavity of a Lyon stratocaster knockoff. Even with humbuckers it had a slight buzz from all of the various electronics I have in my apartment. This helped cut that down completely. I'll probably be applying this to all of my guitars as I slowly upgrade them. Took about 45 minutes and a little bit of fuss to reach the tight areas.

Had a newer les Paul. Gibson for whatever reason doesn’t shield their guitars. Had the common issue of a hum sound whenever you’re not touching the guitar. This tape is really easy to work with. It’s thin so you gotta plan you’re placement beforehand because it’ll rip if you try to pull it back up. This tape fixed the issue barely any noise at all now. I swear the tone is better too. This roll is too much for one guitar but you can do yours and all your friends. It was incredibly easy to solder to as well.

I liked that this product is conductive on both sides, easy to peel, and reasonably priced. In my application, I was running CAT6E CMX outdoor shielded and grounded Ethernet cable into jacks for termination. The tinned copper drain wire coming out of the back of the jack needed to be wrapped around the metal circular entrance hole but the copper wire would tend to unravel which created a questionable ground, due to the slick nickel plating on the jack. This copper tape held down the drain wire prior to using a zip tie to keep the jack closed, and now I have no question that the drain wire is creating a good ground for the shield of the cable. I could have used plain old electrical tape, but the adhesive would not have been conductive and when working with such a small gauge wire (24 AWG), I wanted to be completely sure of good electrical contact.

Great stuff to wrap around raised planter beds to keep out slugs and snails! I ordered one roll and affixed it to the vertical walls of my new planter beds about three inches from the top creating an unbroken line around the entire box in the hopes of keeping snails and slugs from eating all my vegetables before I got a chance. Slugs and snails are a HUGE problem near the coast where I live. The tape is very thin but amazingly easy to work with-paper backing releases easily and it took me about 10 minutes to do both 4 x 8 planter boxes. (not quite enough to make the entire circumference so I'm back to order another roll) The best news? NO SLUGS OR SNAILS HAVE EATEN MY TENDER LETTUCES OR ANY OTHER VEGGIES IN THE BOX!!! Plus, it dresses up the boxes with a pretty copper trim. I highly recommend this tape for this application- no poison-just science.
