Not super hot, which is good
Not super hot, which is good. I use it on the back of my bettas 1 gallon tank to give it a slight warmth. I was too scared to get a tank heater and hurt him... Hes a happy boy.

Great value
Works great! I put on the little stoppers that came with the package and stuck the pad underneath the now raised cage, thing heated up in like 20 minutes. My parents keep the house at 60 in the winter despite me telling them it isn't good for the reptiles, but this lil beauty keeps things at a toasty 78 to 80. On particularly cold days I might supplement with a lamp but overall this thing alone works wonders.

Worked for our Beta Fish Bowl
We have a beta fish and needed to add just a little warmth to his bowl. Although this is "off prescription" use for this reptile tank warmer, we found that it did the trick to keep the beta tank from dipping below 74 degrees.

Perfect for our hermit crab habitat
I keep the house pretty cool, and the hermit crabs aren't crazy about it. This heating pad provides just a little bit of heat in part of their big 'ol crabitat. I mounted it on the bottom of the tank (on the outside). It provides gentle heat to some of the substrate, but they still have plenty of places to go if it gets too warm (though it rarely gets above 72 or 73 in that part of the tank). It's also helped us keep the crabitat humidity more stable. Our dry house made that difficult, too. Overall, a great success, and our crabs seem to be happier and more active than ever!

... end of his corn snake habitat and is really glad we made this purchase
My son is using this under one end of his corn snake habitat and is really glad we made this purchase. The heat is even, and the pad is small enough to warm just one side of the terrarium.

So far so good
So far so good. I bought this heating pad as a supplemental heat source for hermit crabs in a 20 gal long in addition to a 1.5 liter glass bottle with a 100w fish tank heater cranked up to 100F. It is attached to the underside of the crabitat with a 4" layer of Eco Earth ground coconut shells and calcium sand. Ambient temperature is 76-78F and humidity is 75% without misting. Adhesive is holding, unit has been functioning for several weeks. If and when it malfunctions I will update my review. If you don't see an update it's still working from the time of this review.

Warms glass terrarium well
This heating pad has worked very well for my roaches! I put it on the outside of one wall of the terrarium to create a heat gradient during the winter. The wall gets warm but never hot and the roaches like to hang out there.

Great Product
This has worked just as I hoped. I have a couple hermit crabs in a glass tank and my house gets very cold. As soon as I put this on the side of the tank they gravitated towards it and dug down in the dirt right next to it. It is warm but not too warm for them. It’s been safe to keep it plugged in constantly and works great. My only complaint is that it will have to stay stuck to the tank with the chord even in the summer. I wish I could unplug the chord. But I am very happy with the results and would buy again!

This thing works like a charm and keeps them all nice and toasty ...
I'm not using this for the typical use (i.e. Fish, reptiles or poultry) I'm using it as a heat source for my Dubia Roaches I breed as feeder insects for my numerous reptiles. I bought a traditional Ceramic Heat Emitter but the cage was too tall so the heat didn't reach all the way to the bottom. I bought this as an extra heat source for the bottom and to raise humidity levels. This thing works like a charm and keeps them all nice and toasty and I've been noticing they're breeding a lot more and seem more active. My reptiles love the extra roaches

A lot of looking finally got me to this product I was looking for
So like many hermit crab owners we’ve been killing them for a few years now. I read up on why we couldn’t keep them and found temperature is a big thing (along with other factors). I sucked it up and bought a fish tank, sand, coconut fiber, etc and searched for heater. So many heater mat options, but I didn’t want to have the cord visible in the cage. This one did the trick. Stuck to the bottom, came with rubber dots to lift higher off the furniture, and crab moved around ever since. Perfect
