AMAZINGLY REALISTIC! Should've done this years ago!
Looks perfect! Even has a place for 2 Double-A batteries for a blinking red light, that makes the camera look even more realistic. Also came with a WARNING, SECURITY CAMERAS RECORDING sticker to place on the nearest window. Bought a few of them for around my house. A friend of mine first told me about them and owns 20+ rental properties. He has several of them at each property and since putting them up, has seen a drastic drop in burglaries.

Superbly engineered!
The report from my Engineering Department has been submitted and I pass it along to all of you on Amazon: At less than 400 grams, this item delivers on all claims in a lightweight package. Though at least one customer complained that only the red LED is illuminated, we must calm the qualms of similarly frightened customers: the clear LEDs are Infra-red and thus outside the visible spectrum that most humans can perceive. Of course if you are able to catch the clear LEDs illuminating, you should consult appropriate medical specialists as you are clearly far above the norm for your species. And, contrary to the fears unexpressed by those who are afraid the illumination will attract unwanted attention from night flying creatures, NO bats have been yet observed attempting to roost in the glare of the IR spotlight. The shortness of the black cable has been spotted as a possible drawback, but clearly this is an attribute, not a shortcoming. Any engineer will tell you that the shorter the cable the less signal loss one might expect and this positively will add to the transparency of the image. The metal mount and its precisely threaded tube, 12 mm, + or - 1 mm, should provide adequate lightning protection unless the camera is mounted higher than the highest point on your roof-line -- though the view from there will surely be spectacular. All in all, a true Five Star performer (and spectator). ONE WEEK LATER: A meteorological test has been performed on this device by Hurricane José: Sustained winds of 95 km/h and gusts of up to 130 km/h dislodged neither the connections nor the perspective. Congratulations are in order to the engineers and technicians who designed this rugged and dependable unit!

Just what I wanted! It looks real! Easy to install without the hassle!
I needed something that looked real, but wasn't. I wanted to be able to place it wherever I wanted without cords (like on a real camera) dangling all over. I actually purchased a cheap, real one, first. However, after I realized how complicated it might get with all the cords and getting them plugged in, I returned it and purchased a couple of these. They go outside on our home. They were EASY to install and look fabulous! In addition, I love how this fake camera also has a cord attached (of course it really doesn't attach to anything)! It makes it all the more deceiving to an onlooker.

Sturdy and Convincing
As far as a "fake" security camera goes, I think does a very convincing job. I have several around my property, most of them under a porch or roof edge for protection from the elements. We have a lot of thunderstorms with hail where I live and so far, no damage. They are not "cheap" looking or feeling, they certainly have some weight to them from the metal material. Once mounted, the red light blinks every few seconds around the clock and most visitors seem to give it a weary glance, which is the point. I've had them mounted (with nails) on my property for almost two months. I'll just have to see how they withstand the test of time. But so far, so good. (As a side note, I think it would be difficult to mount these with anything but actual nails, due to their weight.)

Security on a budget
This is a great way to add security to your home or business without spending a ton of money. It really looks like a real camera and would fool just about anyone. It's pretty lightweight, but it has a heavier appearance. It comes with simple instructions and was very easy to install. It takes 2 AA batteries for the red flashing light, which is visible all day, especially at night. It also comes with a small decal that says "24 hour security cameras recording". Overall this is a great little dummy camera that looks like the real thing.

Awesome little camera
Just an awesome little camera, easy to put together and in style. Bought one for the back door and front door look amazingly authentic. Live in the country and need extra security, this was an added addition for safety.

Possibly the best 10 bucks I've ever spent at Amazon
I live in a rural area and some neighbors and I split the cost of a dumpster as a solution for lack of good garbage service and have done so for several years. We've had a few problems with trespassers and unauthorized use but nothing major at all. For some unexplained reasons (although I would bet it relates with the opioid crises) this became a MAJOR problem. The dumpster was abused on a regular basis. At least twice it was filled beyond capacity to the point that legitimate users could not use. It's visible to at least 2 homeowners and we all kept vigil trying to catch the people in the act but we never did. We even went through the bags (Dumpster diving) at a few occasions and found mail (and empty Oxycontin bottles) with names. Sheriffs deputies were called on multiple occasions. Deputies did go to these homes and the people denied using the dumpster (as predicted) but we thought the prospect of being charged with trespassing would deter them. It didn't. We installed deer cameras, actually identified one person but the magistrate refused to issue warrants. I bought this fake cam. I mounted it on a post that I placed facing the dumpster and about 10 feet from a utility pole. The utility pole has a black wire stapled down the length of the pole and disappearing into the ground. I mounted an electrical junction box under the fake camera, ran the wire through the box and into a piece of conduit that also disappears into the ground. It gives the distinct appearance that the wire on the utility pole (whatever it is) runs underground 10 feel to the camera post to provide power. There has not been a single incident of trespassing or unauthorized use since I put up the camera! We've already gotten more than my money's worth in four months and may have prevented some pill head trespasser from legitimate pain.

Good
I had to purchase this because of these immature high school kids that live near me. They put white out on my car and it was a struggle to get off since they kept on doing it. Installed this bad boy and it never happened again. I also purchased security survelence signs which also helped. But seriously they are teenagers, I’m only a few years older than them. They need to grow up, and stop destroying people’s property. I hope one day they will understand that if it happens to them.

Second Line Of Second Thoughts
Four people live at my apartment complex where I am staying temporally. One night just before 5AM one of our car alarms went off. One of the guys woke the other up who's car alarm was going off. They did not see anything but after a few minutes a police car came up and said that they had had several car break ins in the area over the last week. The car alarm might have scared off whoever it was but I thought a little more to be wary of would not hurt. So after hearing about it the next day I ordered this and installed it near the door pointing towards the cars with the blinking light easily seen. Someone here asked if the LED is 1.5 or 3 volt as they wanted to make a power supply for it instead of using batteries. I don't think it matters. When I was in electronics school several people there wondered how much voltage an LED could stand. We burned out five or six of them and they all took between 26 and 32 volts before they died. I think all the components in this could take 3 volts without problems. This is made to run on batteries so it is most likely undervolted for all the components to save power and have it run longer. If it is running at 1.5 volts running it at 3 volts will most likely make the LED a bit brighter. Of course I could be wrong and something in the circuit could only withstand 2 volts and then die but that seems unlikely. I am only living here temporally so I will just leave this here when I leave and not go through the trouble of making a power supply for it myself.

Realistic look and price too
This camera fooled many a guest so hopefully it fools criminals too (and yes its hard to know if it prevented a break in). I added it to a property I rented and the landlord didn't know it was fake. Very cheap "dummy" to avert the human dummies bold enough to approach. I also added solar lights that are motion activated so possible thieves would see the "camera" once the lights showed up. The surveillance warning stickers add another layer of protection.
