It made me feel like a professional!

I love this brush! I haven't done all that much painting before this. But with this brush and Renaissance chalk paint I felt like a professional. I painted an old buffet white. It had originally been oak and the last owner had "improved" it with a heavy coat of veraphane. So I did a very light sanding, then painted. I painted it white and picked out the details in a pale aqua. It looks gorgeous. And the brush performed as it is supposed to: I had no problems, and it made my job so easy. It made painting so easy that I'm now actively looking for my next project.

I'm new to chalk painting so I can't compare this to any other brand. What I can tell you is this brush is very well made. I ran my fingers through it several times without wetting it and I didn't loose a single bristle! It is a very large brush. I only used it to apply wax over Annie Sloan paint. It distributed wax evenly with ease.I've heard you use less wax with a brush. I started my project before a received the brush so in the beginning I was applying the wax with an old t-shirt. I'm so glad I stopped and waited for the brush! I've refinished a dresser and a king platform bed base with drawers and still have about 1/2 a can of clear wax. Like I said I'm new to chalk painting so I'm not sure how much wax is normally used on these projects. I'm going to use the brush to paint on my next project and I will update you all on how well the brush holds and applies Annie Sloan paint. I wish they made a brush with a tapered tip,wink wink!

Fantastic Brush

This brush it great alternative to Annie Sloan's brush if you are looking for something cheaper. I've painted two bedroom sets and a media stand using it. With gentle care and washing right after use with dial dish soap, it is in as good of shape as when I first got it. Highly recommend.

Great Price for a Quality Brush!

I bought this to use specifically for Annie Sloan soft wax, and was attempting to find an affordable brush that had reliable reviews. It was very annoying to me to see reviews that ended with "I was compensated for this review"! I wanted honest opinions I could trust. So first of all, please know that I paid for this myself and am leaving a review to help others! I used this brush for the soft clear wax. First, I rinsed the brush with warm water as per the directions to remove any loose bristles. As I was waxing my pieces (2 small pieces and 1 large dresser) I only had a a few bristles come loose. They came off easily when I removed the excess wax with a cloth, so it wasn't a problem at all! I didn't have to use tweezers or anything. I haven't used this brush for chalk paint, but it worked great for the wax! I used dish soap to clean the wax after use, which did the trick. I recommend this brush to anyone looking for an affordable brush for soft wax!

Don't hesitate these are just as good as the name brand brushes!

Not knowing ANYTHING about chalk painting or brushes needed but I knew I was not going to pay over $70 for one paint brush. The paint price just about made me have a heart attack. So, I started looking on Amazon for a more reasonable product. I did know that I would need two brushes, one for dark paint and one for light paint. Thankfully I came across this deal. Even though some of the reviews were not so positive, I decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed and neither was my friend who was helping me, who only had used name brand A.S. brushes! Three days of back to back use of 5 hours each day and they were troupers. Washing them out each evening and they were dry by the next day. I didn't notice any odor when wet. A very few shedded hairs but not anything unusual. I just wish I had purchased a couple more the first time round since the price has already gone up since I made my original purchase.

What I never knew I always needed! LOVE IT.

Amazing!! I've been chalk painting furniture using foam brushes & regular paint brushes for years. And just using a rag to wax. After dark waxing a large piece of furniture using only a rag I noticed it didn't look even & took forever. I ordered this hoping a second coat using this brush would minimize streaking & go on more evenly. Could not be more excited with the results!! Life changing. If you're on the fence, buy it!! You will not be dissapointed! I also used it to paint & wax another piece of furniture. The process was much quicker than my previous method & looks like I bought it from someone who actually knows what they're doing. The price is very reasonable & like other reviewers have mentioned it is very easy to fully clean so you won't have to waste money throwing away dirty brushes.

Really Good Brush

This is an excellent brush! It holds the paint well and gets into all the nooks and crannies. Has some weight to it and feels good in the hand. Most importantly, it doesn't shed. Nothing more aggravating than trying to pick soggy bristles out of wet paint. Paint just flows on and it doesn't leave brush marks. Cleans up well and dries fairly quickly. Liked it so much I've ordered another one for wax application.

Unfortunately I was unable to get a permit for a tickertape parade when the parcel containing your brush arrived at my Post Office. I did, however drive home slowly (25mph speed limit) and pull over on the shoulder to let oncoming traffic pass (single lane road). After safely returning to my stained glass studio I carefully opened the box to find your lovely brush. I used the brush to apply paste wax to my stained glass creation. All kidding aside it does a great job of applying a thin, even wax coat to even the nooks and crannies of my lead lines. It will save me oodles of time as I don’t need to remove blobs of wax that tended to fill tight corners with other application methods. Yes! Yes! Yes! Definitely a worthwhile purchase even if it makes my studio smell like a wet dog after cleaning the brush. Love it! It is my new favorite tool!

Best Brush For Home Improvements

I bought this brush to white wash a friend’s fireplace and to paint some chairs with chalk paint. I finished the fireplace and it was the perfect brush with the thick bristles to cover the mortar and paint the bricks. It really contributed to making the job much easier than using a regular paint brush. The fireplace looks awesome. I was worried about receiving it in time, but it was really a speedy delivery. It cleaned up well and now I’m ready to paint the chairs.

This is a high end brush for the price. Arrived very fast and I haven't experienced any shedding whatsoever. Very satisfied.
