This is just what we were looking for. Only issue we had was our own fault as we put too much batter in for the first couple of waffles. Have it down now and enjoy having a Captain America breakfast occasionally.

Works great and makes adorable waffles

We make a lot of waffles, so we were pleasantly surprised that this thing was not only cute, but actually works really well and maybe even better than our other waffle maker! There's no way this could get a bad review unless you just don't know how to cook or used a bad recipe. They turn out like a perfect shield just like the ones in the photos. If you know a captain America fan, buy this. Hubs got a real kick out of it.

I bought this as a birthday gift, and the recipient is so pleased he's been using it pretty much every day. We like the shape, and the center circle can be used to make smaller waffles. It doesn't make a sound when it's done so you have to watch for the red light to go off. It takes maybe 3-5 minutes to cook and is a nice golden color. Overall, we're happy with this product.

Kid approved !

My kiddo loves captain America so I decided this would be a cool Christmas gift. Mom won Christmas this year for sure. It works super well, easy to use, easy to clean, and makes awesome waffles.

Cool Contraption

The Captain America Waffel Maker is a sight for sore eyes, not only does it make perfect little Shield for your waffle eating needs, it feels high quality doing so! Pro's • feet grip the kitchen surface well so the product does not slide around everywhere • the inside metal is non-stick and doesn't grab onto the waffel • the shields come out very nice and crisp • it's well insulated so the surface of the waffel maker is touchable during use • tho this might not sound like a pro, the lower rim usually grabs in to any excess waffle mix that might flow out from overfilling, but doesn't grab on to it very tightly, so it won't make much mess on your kitchen top while also being very easy to clean itself. Cons • no on/off switch means it has to be disconnected at all times of non-use

Works well and super cool!

This waffle maker is very beautiful and makes a great gift for Marvel fans. My kids were super excited to give it to their dad for Christmas :-) We used it right away and the waffles came out perfect. Our recipe made exactly 4 waffles. I think the size is just right. Some reviewers referred to the waffles as huge, but I can only figure they are comparing them to frozen toaster waffles. These come out pretty standard size for fresh Belgian waffles-- maybe marginally smaller than the ones you typically get at hotel breakfasts. As per the instructions, we let the waffle maker preheat a few minutes, brushed the bottom with butter, started the batter in the center and spread it to the outer rings. Then brushed the top with butter and gentley closed the lid. Within about 4 minutes or so they were golden and perfect. The kids loved the shield! It would be great if the plates came out for cleaning, but we just let it cool and wiped it down with a damp sponge. The exterior cleaned well also. Time will tell how durable it is, but as far as we know now, it worked great!

Super Waffles

I love it! It's super fun for the whole family. It is easy-to-use. You poor the batter in, close it, wait for the red light to go off, open and you have a yummy waffle. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a waffle maker. I can't get enough.

Fun Waffles for Everyone

Awesome waffle maker! Fun to use. One side has shield and other side of waffle is traditional waffle pattern. Cooks evenly and doesn't stick. All adults in my home and we love having Captain America waffles! Seem good quality and like it will last. Made of lightweight plastic, but sturdy.

Kids love the 'special' waffles made in this Captain America Waffle Maker!

Super easy to use. Heats up quick. For best waffles, suggest setting a timer to know when done [using whatever batter you use]. Even used 'leftover' blueberry pancake batter and the waffles turned out great. Big hit with the Grandkids!

If only the plates were removable :)

I looooooove it aside from the plates not being removable. Everyone loves it! I actually saw it on my friends registry and bought it for myself lol. It takes a good amount of batter, it is easy to clean regardless of my preference. Our other waffle maker broke so this was a much needed and better replacement. Make sure you clean it and do a test run before making a waffle to eat!
