These are heavy-duty accessories for those who have trouble reaching the brake and gas pedals. I purchased for my 5' daughter who was driving dangerously close to the steering wheel (thus the airbag). I installed myself. It required some adjustment and patience (and the right tools) but installation was fairly easy. All these people complaining about the difficult installation must be pretty helpless when it comes to basic tools. If you know how to use a wrench and ratchet wrench, installation will be a breeze. Not that it matters, by I'm the mom. By the way, watch the instructional video. It's informative and also pretty funny.

My daughter is 4'8'' tall so when driving she was very close to the steering wheel which is a risk if the airbag is deployed. She has a VW Jetta 2015, so I decided to buy these pedal extenders so that she can move the seat a little bit back. These extenders work perfectly, obviously some adjustments need to be done before doing the final installation, it is easy to move the pieces (or remove the unnecessary ones) to have the right setup, in my daughter case I only require to extend the pedals a few inches, so I remove one piece in the break pedal extender to have the right setup. The difficult part to install these extenders is the car where you are working on, because is difficult to work in the floor of the car under the car board, with the seat at your right, so I’ll recommend to try to determine the pedal setup before trying to do the final installation, test with the driver that is going to use them, until she/he is comfortable with the setting, then tight any pieces that are not related to the attach of the extender to the original pedals, and finally install them. Start with the gas pedal, I think this was the one that I spent more time working on just because to reach the original pedal, and tight the screws was a little bit difficult just because of the location and space to work on. The break pedal was very easy to install, I just have to change one of the long screws by one of the provided shorter ones. Be sure to tight very well all the screws!! I drove the car before my daughter just to be sure that the extenders were working correctly and just in case I didn’t do the right installation. After several tests, I let my daughter to give it a try, and she now is so happy!! She is now driving in a “normal” position and without any problems. Finally, be sure to have the right tools to tight your screws, that definitively will make the installation easier. So far these extenders are working perfectly, and my daughter feels safer not being so close to the steering wheel.

Completely satisfied. I'm a rural mail carrier and short so these have worked out excellent for me and being able to reach mail boxes and my brake and gas pedal at the same time! No more putting it in park for every box! The brake was simple to install, the gas pedal is a little more time consuming and I drive a jeep so I had to buy a shorter bolt for installing the gas pedal which is a simple fix at your local hardware store. The instructions on the gas pedal could be a little better but it doesn't take long to figure out!

My wife is slightly under 5 feet tall. Meanwhile, I am easily more than 6 and a half feet tall. This product is a miracle because both of us can now safely drive the same vehicle. With these, she can adjust the driver's seat such that she can sit back half way, instead of before where she needed to sit all the way up front. It's no longer super dangerous for her to drive. Since we only have one car, we both need to be able to drive our vehicle. Normally, I always sit all the way back anyway. However, I regret to inform you that these do not come off easily once properly installed. You cannot easily adjust them for different drivers. You will have to keep the same configuration for all drivers. This may cause some discomfort in smaller vehicles. It takes some getting used to if you're tall, and you'll have to put the seat all the way down and back, but it's easily usable for both a short and tall couple. We have the pedals extended to their furthest possible reach. They are slightly uncomfortable for a tall driver such as myself, but for my wife they are absolutely perfect which is all I care about. Just remember, you have to keep them there once they're in.

Installation took about 2 hours. I e-mailed company and they responded immediately which was very considerate. I am so comfortable sitting more than 10" away from the steering wheel because I am 4'10". I did not want to disconnect the air bags because they saved me from getting seriously hurt in an accident years ago. However, my chest was slightly burnt from "gun-powder?" in the air bag. My car is a 2013 Hyndai Sonata

This product worked perfectly and was easy to adjust to exactly what the mother in law needed after she took a fall and broke her hip. She went back to driving the Honda CRV with the proper distance from the air bag and comfort in her hip after all the physical therapy and recuperation. The directions were a little vague and pictures lacked clarity. There was left over parts since it fits a multitude of cars. It requires mechanical common sense to install this kit due to the variations for other make and models. I did find it could be installed incorrectly and still work but it would not have stayed tight for long. Please read instructions with this kit to ensure safest installation. Allow yourself some distraction free time, it took me almost to hours to install both pedals at a leisurely pace. A bright light was a must for me to ensure all the fit and clearances.

We love them! They were originally purchased for my daughter, who is 4' 10" and just learning to drive, however I am 4' 11" and I am wondering where these have been all my life. We have put them on a 2014 Honda Odyssey Minivan and they work great! The installation was a pain for my husband and took a very long time, mainly because he kept having to readjust them to get them right for us. It was just a lot of trial and error. But, now that they are on, we have had no reason to take them off. My husband is 5' 11" and he is able to drive with them on with the seat all the way back. Would definitely recommend!

I never knew these existed, otherwise I would have had them installed in every car I have owned. Why did car salesman not tell me about these? I am 4'10" and have extremely short legs so the steering wheel was always right up against my stomach in order to reach the pedals. I found a make of a car (Mazda) that fit me better where I wasn't touching the steering wheel, but when I upgraded with my previous car a couple of months ago, it was designed just different enough to make it difficult to comfortably reach. I thought I was going to have to say "never mind" to my car salesman. But then I googled to see if I could rig something up and found these and ordered them within an hour of reading about them. Oh. My. God. I seriously cannot tell you what a life saver these have been. I for once can sit back far enough to use the armrest, reach my drink easier, and not feel that I would be crushed by the airbag if I ever was in an accident. Many people said there were no instructions, but my husband had them on my pedals in less than an hour and adjusting them takes less than 5 minutes (which we did several times to get me 100% comfortable). Some reviews said they were made cheap and flimsy...I have found them very sturdy. I don't even know they are there. To say these changed my life sounds so dramatic and over the top, but they actually have and I will never ever do without them again.

Easy to install. Work perfectly. I'm 5'1" and can extend my seat far enough away from the airbag location on the steering wheel.

Should've purchased these years ago. I own a 2011 Miata and have sat uncomfortablely in it for 7 years. I'm not terriblely short (5'7") but being able to sit all they way back makes a world of difference.... now if someone can make a foot rest extender so I can rest my left foot on something that would be wonderful too.....hint hint Mr Morgenstern 😉
