Both our cats love these. They get these and happily crunch away. Definitely do their job as neither cat has a breath that makes kitty face time something to dread. Teeth are clean and healthy. If you have a cat that never chews but simply gulps (like we once had) these probably won't do much. If they like to crunch like ours do now, they do a good job. I love it when they start that crunching. Must taste pretty good as they do lick up most of the crumbs at the end! (But I've never personally tested the taste, just in case you were wondering.)

One of my cats had to have 2 teeth removed last year due to a condition where the tartar caused damage to the gum tissue and nerves. The vet clinic gave me a sheet with care suggestions ranging from cleaning my cats teeth daily to adding a liquid to the water. I opted to try the liquid which I began adding 1 drop to the bowl - the cat wouldn't drink the water. I searched on Amazon and found the Purina DentaLife Tasty Chicken Flavor Treats. The directions say to give no more than 17 per day (Since I am retired, he gets 5 three times during the day and 2 before bed). To my surprise, he loves them. After 5 months of giving him the treats I took him back to the vet and the vet was amazed at how healthy my cat's mouth looked. I now give them to my Siamese to keep her tiny mouth healthy. Purina has another excellent product that I will continue to purchase.

Cat likes them, they're approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council as of April 2017, and they're higher apparent-quality than Greenies (the only other VOHC-approved anti-tartar treat—not necessarily the only other one that works, or the best one on the market). These have more protein and less fiber than Greenies. They do list ground corn first, whereas Greenies lists chicken meal first—followed by wheat and rice. In other words: Greenies gets the meat-thing first on the ingredients list by using two types of starch-things, each of which is less by weight than the meat-thing. Guaranteed Analysis on Greenies, Proteine/Fat/Fiber? 27%/12%/10%. DentaLife? 32%/10%/7%. Meat doesn't provide fiber, and more protein generally means more meat. Can't determine how well they clean teeth, hence the VOHC accreditation: somebody more-knowledgeable than me says they do. Seems to be enough in here to treat the cat for about a month or so. First time she started scratching the cat tree I fed her a bunch there, and now she keeps tearing it up and then nudging the tub. Looks like she's not going to scratch up my piano any time soon. Subscribe-and-save this with various Sheba flavors and I've got a 15% discount on everything and some $30/month to feed my cat a bunch of premium food!

Out cat is simply addicted to these chews. I put one in her dry food (she gets dry and wet) and she goes right for it. If I don't put one in she meows at me, she really misses it. She is 14 and her teeth are in perfect shape, whether because of the chews or not I don't know but I'm not changing them. She would never forgive me.

Cleaning my teeth has never been so delicious. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with bad tasting, burning toothpaste any more. Purina DentaLife Tasty Chicken not only satisfies my chicken cravings but also cleans my teeth with every bite. My cat really seems to like my breath afterwards as well. I just wish he wouldn't meow at me so much whenever I eat these. I think he really likes that I am taking care of my teeth because he never leaves my side from the moment I open the container until I finish eating the last bite. Highly recommend.

My cat literally salivates so much when she know shes getting these. I'm afraid she's addicted. She sits, shakes your hand...she's a cat. I'm thinking Rehab might be next. I had to hide these from my mother since she was just feeding the cat so many, the cat lost her neck profile. Rehab is one thing, but gastric bypass is another. She down to four treats a day. She has her neck back and her teeth look great. The treats are crunchy and she has to really crunch on them a couple of times before she done, so they really do work on the teeth. Don't overfeed. Kitty Noneck is not cute.

I HAD A CAT THAT DIED BECAUSE I HAD HER TEETH CLEANED AND SHE GOT BLOOD SEPSIS. IT WAS MY FAULT, SHE WAS AN OLDER CAT AND I DIDN'T MAINTAIN HER TEETH. NOT ONE OF MY PROUDEST MOMENTS. I REALLY CAN'T AFFORD TO TAKE THEM TO THE VET FOR CLEANINGS SO I HAVE BEEN FEEDING THEM GREENIES AND NOW THESE. THEY SELL GREENIES AT THE VET SO I FEEL GOOD ABOUT THAT BUT AFTER FEEDING MY CATS DENTALIFE FOR THE FIRST TIME I COULD TELL THEY WERE HELPING. THEY ARE BIGGER PIECES AND YOU CAN HEAR THEM CRUNCHING DOWN ON BOTH SIDES. I WILL BE USING BOTH KINDS.

About 3 years ago someone recommended that to me for our cats after I had mentionedt that the Vet had said that we should think about having our older cats teeth cleaned and warned me that it would be expensive since the cat would have to be sedated. Well... two years later my Vet marvels at how clean both cats teeth look and it is all because of DENTALIFE....I give our cats 12 pieces as a treat every night... I am so pleased. IT REALLY WORKS. I know buy it for my cat loving friends for their cats too and they havev\ a treat like it for dogs too.

My cats LOVE THESE!!! Not only do they like the taste, but it's fun watching them eat these. These are just the right consistency to where they have to bite down on it, but not to hard that it would break their little teeth. I love watching how they start crunching down on one side of their mouth, then on the other side. This way I can see that it's working on all of their back teeth, where plaque builds up. I cannot make any claims if it is working, but the way it's made, it is definitely scraping against the teeth while they bite down, which is what they are suppose to do. They prefer salmon over chicken....of course, t

I got a sample of these in a bag of cat food. My cat Lucy loves them. I toss one across the floor and she takes off after it like it's a mouse. I'll give her four of them a couple of times a day as part of our "routine" - first racing down the hall and then an excited race back and into the kitchen and back again. I'm not sure how well they clean her teeth but they make for a happy jaunt back and forth; a couple times a day. We'll be getting these again.
