Our garbage pick up is almost a mile away from our house. This product made my life so much easier and worth every penny. It comes in two pieces and very easy to assemble. Instructions are very clear on how to use this product. The pin that fits on the hitch has a hole in it and you use a clip that is very easy to install and remove, a important design for me. When you add the second piece to it, it gives you three settings and has a clip pin that is easy to use. i tried each setting to see how high it would lift our tote off the ground. I used the second setting which gave me about 6-8 inches of ground clearance. When you are ready to use it , you just flip the handle at the front of the hauler and pull back on the lift. Then you just push your tote up to it tilting it back towards you until you hear it hit the lift. it may take a couple of times to get the hang of it. Once the bar from the tote is in the lift, you just lift it up or push it towards your vehicle and you will hear it lock in place. To remove it you pull the handle up and then pull the tote back towards you and then wheel it over to the pick up spot. It is well constructed. When you are done or putting it on your vehicle they put a carry handle on the top of it to transport it. It does not get any easier than that. This saves your body from lifting it into the back of our trunk or pickup. Best money I ever spent. I used it last night and it rode down the road with no problems. I took the tote off as described above and returned home. i definitely recommend this tote hauler to anyone who has a long way to take their tote to. It will save you lots of time and ease on your body. The tote alone is fairly heavy and when you have garbage in it, it is difficult to lift it up on a 4 x 4 pickup. This solved all of my woes. Note: i tried numerous times to add a picture so you could see it , but this site would not accept it. (sorry)

I built a garden trailer. This makes taking the trash down my steep curvy driveway much easier than hitching up the trailer. If you currently use a trailer for this task this will make your life easier. It is a bit spendy, but for me it's worth it. One caveat: you may need to get an adapter to raise the can if you have to go up and down steep portions, my hitch is sort of low and raising it makes the can have enough clearance during grade changes. Picture shows the device and adapter together.

This is a much better way to transport my trash can to the highway. My driveway is about a quarter mile long so rolling the can to he street is quite a chore. This adapter keep s the wheels off the ground and works well with my Jeep. I had to trim some off the end of the shank to make the hitch hole line up with one of my receivers. I also found that it puts a lot of pressure on the front of the trash can. I placed a piece of wood on the contact area on the trash can and now the can rides much more securely as I make the drive.

Does not work on my Polaris Ranger 570 Full Size (would need the adapter to raise the hitch height) but does work on my 2013 F-150 4x4 and 2018 Jeep Wrangler. I can see how this item wouldn't work with any vehicle that has low ground clearance. I suppose you can buy the optional adapters, but who wants to spend even more money for such a simple device? The pricing is the only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars. Update: I've been using this weekly for two years now, and it still works exactly like it did the day I got it. Very nice product as long as your hitch height is in the acceptable range. As far as how it works...so far it's done the job for me. I have managed to use it successfully to get my loaded trash can to the end of my 1/2 mile gravel road which has curves and hills. Some weeks my can is heavy. Very heavy. Others it's more lightweight. This item has worked well for a year now with no failures and no modifications.

This can transporter has really come in handy for me. I no longer have to try to lift my garbage toter up into the bed of my truck!! I wanted a transported that lifted and kept the toter off of the ground while being transported. I have a long gravel driveway so dragging the toter behind my truck would probably ruin its wheels (the toter that is) and the garbage company would probably charge me for a replacement. I will say that there is (at least for me) a learning curve to figuring which direction the "receiver" goes in order to achieve the desired off the ground transport but I figured it out and I am happy with this product.

I purchased this innovative product along with a MaxxHaul 70355 1-1/4" to 2" Hitch Adapter with 4" Rise l. This combo was fitted to my Kawasaki Mule. Finally a solution for our 500ft hill and dreaded garbage day. Once you get used to the release mechanism ( a lever tucked away at the back with a spring loaded arming mechanism) its quick and easy to use . The TC5000 is also adjustable for height. I have it setup so the trash can wheels are suspended about an inch off the ground . So far no complaints and a very elegant solution vs other products that have to grab onto the trash can handles. Brilliant !

I have back & foot issues and have a very long driveway. I attach this to the hitch and away I go to the end of the driveway. Extremely sturdy & easy to use. Locks into place.

Our drive is 800’+. For years I had to either pull heavy trash cans up into the bed of my truck or use a tractor with a front end loader to haul trash to the street for pickup. Now it is easy with no back strains. It is the perfect height for my Silverado. The brace on the trash can matches perfectly with the height of the hauler. Push the can up until it clicks. Then at the end of the road, flip the lever then push forward till it clicks and it will lower right to ground level without you having to bear the weight of a full trash can. It’s is made of what appears to be light weight steel or aluminum which is actually an advantage. I keep it in the tool box of my truck and it is very light putting it in the hitch & tool box.

This device works really well. I have a 900+ ft. driveway and it has been a God send in terms of being easy to get such a large (and heavy when full) trash can down to the street for collection. My wife also found it very easy to use and has had no difficulty in getting it connected to the hitch and the trash can loaded on the device.

Thick and solid construction. Extremely easy to hook up (took less than a minute) and does the trick for hauling the trash can down a half mile driveway. The only “con” is that it had to be mounted on the front of my John Deere Gator (825i). The caddy is not long enough to secure the dumpster because it hits the tailgate. I’m pretty sure I saw an extender to get around this but it’s not necessary when it can be mounted up front.
