What a sweet keepsake!

I love this! But I do have some thoughts and tips if you're doing this with a baby. First, make sure your baby is asleep! I attempted to do this with a newborn who was awake and he would just not keep his hand open long enough for a print. So we waited for him to fall asleep, but the clay had started to dry a bit so it didn't work as well with his hand prints. And he still wanted to close his hand a bit even while sleeping, so you can tell he's grabbing the clay and digging in his fingers in the print...but that's okay! Second (and this was sort of covered in my first suggestion), work quickly! The clay does take a long time to completely dry out, but it does start to dry out a bit on the surface and then starts to look a bit dry when you do the print if you don't work quickly enough. Third, use your dry fingertips to lightly brush the surface before putting the hand or foot print on the clay. I had a very difficult time evening out all the bumps with a rolling pin, but I discovered that lightly brushing with my fingertips made the surface look much nicer! Fourth, don't try to do this alone if you're getting baby prints. We needed at least two people to do it. One to hold the baby, one to hold the frame/clay. And maybe even a third to push the hand or foot into the clay. We decided since he's so tiny, that there was enough room for both feet and both hands, so we did that. I'm glad we did, but with each print, you displace some of the clay, so we have ripples around the prints from all the displaced clay. I'm okay with that because I like having all four, but be aware that will happen if you attempt to do more like we did. I'm so glad we have this special keepsake. It looks great and I can't wait to get the perfect photos in there to go with them.

Mother's day gift - twin babies.

Product arrived super fast. The seller even sent an email making sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I was definitely satisfied with this purchase. I bought this for my wife for her second mother's day. Everything arrived as advertised, the clay was perfectly soft (none of the optional softening instructions or YouTube videos needed), and the frame and all components were in great condition. I did one footprint from each of our twin babies (barely fit since they are almost 2, but I was just enough room), and a picture of each. All in all, for the price, you really can't go wrong with this. The quality and personal touches on this gift will be something the moms or women in your life will treasure forever. Thanks Bubzi.

It is super easy to do and totally worth the money.

I decided I wanted something unique for my desk at work so I got this. Its so easy to use. You take the clay out of the pouches it comes in and mix it together and then put it in the frame. Put your kids hand and food in it and let it sit for 48 hours and its done. The best part with using clay is if you mess up you can reroll it and try again. It took us about 5 times to get the hand print we liked so I'm glad we had the option to get trying until we likes it. I recommend doing hand first and then foot. It seems like everyone has a harder time getting a good hand print. Pros: Easy Fun Looks great Made to last Cons: Not great directions (still pretty easy to figure out) Wish they offered different sizes

Works for dogs too!

This looks really good to show off my dog's paw prints! I have 2 boxers and was able to fit both paw prints in. Really use to do and easier than using ink. I will treasure this forever!

Great kit, great customer service. Note: knead for the entire instructed time and you'll get a flawless print after drying!

The first set I received I did by myself with my young one and it cracked after drying. I contacted the company to see if I could get some clay to fill in the crack and they sent me a whole new kit instead. Told me that most likely it cracked because I did not knead the Clay long enough. This very well could have been the reason because this Clay is pretty tough and kneading it for five minutes alone is not super easy. So the next time I have my husband help me, making sure that together we did the entire five minutes. Getting the prints with two people was a lot easier as well. The second set came out flawless, and I had enough clay leftover to fill in the cracks on the first one. Now I have two frames I can hang up. Customer service was great and very appreciated on the new kit . These kits work great if you make sure to follow the instructions exactly especially on the knead time.

Happy First Mother's Day

I purchased this kit for the daughter of a good friend who just had her first baby. We worked on it together and she gave it to her daughter as her first Mother's Day present. It turned out very nice. It's a quality product, carefully put together with very good instructions. She loves it as you can see.

Best Regift Ever

I bought the Bubzi frame for my daughter and new grandson during Prime Day. My daughter who is far from Martha Stewart was able read the great directions given by the manufacturer. The task went without a hitch .Anyway this past Christmas Day my daughter gave me the best present ever a beautiful hand and foot print of my little guy a grandparent could ever want! It's an heirloom that will warm my heart for a lifetime. What a great Re-Gift Thank you Bubzi!

Updated review - second try worked like a charm.

My initial experience with this product was not good. After following instructions on package the product dried with cracks in the hand prints, which I included in a review of the product. The company contacted me, unprompted, to offer an apology and send out another kit free of charge. We just redid the hand prints with no problems with cracking this time. We must have received a faulty kit initially. I was really impressed with the company’s actions to ensure we received a good product and were happy customers, which we now are. Rare to find such customer service these days.

7500 miles away... I have a bit of my Grandson with me always <3 Perfect

My beautiful new grandson lives in Japan and I won't be seeing him often and so I saw these little hand & footprint frames and decided because of the mixed reviews, I would buy three just in case and bring them with me. I did write Julie (owner) and ask her for advice, as I thought it was human error (the negative reviews) and didn't want to mess it up. I followed the instructions exactly and did not deviate. We were able to make two of them and the third my DIL can use whenever she wants. They will be here in December (6 months old) and I will make another and then when I go back for his 1st birthday, we will make another and probably until his hands and feet are too big for the frame. You might notice a slight crack by his hand. This was definitely my doing and I chose not to fix it with the extra clay. I just didn't want to mess with a near perfect impression and put Noah through it. The one I left in Japan is 100% perfect without a crack... I wanted her to have that one. I want to thank you Julie for providing this very long distance Baba (grandma) this product. I will remember Noah's first month birthday and the feel of his little body as we made the impressions.

Great item, mom loved it

Great item, mom loved it! Easy to use, but do make sure you do save a little clay to fill cracks after the impression dries. Rec'd emails from Bubzi's founder with instructions for purchased frame and a neat bonus...a fun little Baby First PDF to download and print. These came a day after the purchase so to me this is above and beyond customer service folks, because it's the little things that matter. Will gladly recommend and purchase from Bubzi again!
