High Quality for Low Price

I put these dishes on my Wish List for Christmas this year and my mom bought them using my account. I unboxed them last night and I could not be more impressed with the quality of these dishes. I read a lot of the negative reviews today, but I think that it's important to note that they were written over a year ago. Amazon must have taken notice of the issues and put some work into improving them because I didn't notice a single issue with my set. The dishes are not flimsy or delicate at all. They have a very nice weight to them and are microwave and dishwasher safe (super important to me since I am not a good cook and mostly use the microwave). I would definitely buy another set and would recommend them for other people looking for sturdy everyday dishes.

Perfect dishes!

For the price, these are exactly what me and my fiancé wanted. Something simple, white, and porcelain. I do plan on buying more of these in the future.

So much nicer than I though. I originally bought these to transition my family from plastic to regular dishes now that my kids are older. Now I see no need to transition to anything. These look and feel great. They have a good weight to them and feel like they are more expensive. They are also pretty hardy. My kids have had a few skip ups banging them together or loading them a little hard and they have (so far) avoided chipping!

Bought 3 sets, great value if you need lots of dishes!

We found out we were hosting lots of extended family for a few days around Christmas and realized we didn’t have enough dishes for everyone. We bought 3 sets and they all arrived in perfect condition, very well packaged. They’re by no means fine china but these are a great value if you need a lot of dishes! My biggest concern with bowls is how much cereal will they hold, and these are perfect. The endges aren’t perfectly flat but they have a good weight, don’t feel cheap and we have had no chips or scratches. Overall a great purchase!

Love them!!!

I love this set. The simplicity of the design is exactly what I was looking for. I had been looking for a set of dishes for almost a month before I came across these. I use this set daily and for Thanksgiving with no problems. Love that I can use in the dishwasher with no problems . I read the reviews before I bought this set and was on the fence about purchasing. I am glad I bought them. No bad experiences of the dishes being broken when delivered or breaking during use. The only thing I have experienced is when stacking them in the cabinet the plates do not line up exactly, which is not a big deal at all, it does not effect the stability of the plates while in the cabinet. Love the plates and love the price.

Beautiful, Durable Plates

Feels kind of silly to talk about how much I love this dish set that is clearly supposed to be just a plain-jane cheapo alternative to more expensive models, buuuuut.... I absolutely love this dish set. xP The weight is perfect. I loathe super heavy plates, but these are both sturdy and light. And I love the look. I have found no blemishes, and I ordered two sets. I use them on the daily and run them through a pretty harsh dishwasher cycle with very hard water. They are still glossy and unscratched. I don't care that they are the 'cheapo option.' They are my favorite plates I have ever owned! LOL

A Wonderful Porcelain China Starter.

We bought these based on their favorable reviews as an inexpensive way to fill in the set of Dowan porcelain bowls that we have been using for many of our meals.Glad we did! These are a bit lighter in weight, and a shade darker in color than the truly stark white finish of the Dowans. They work fine together, but of the two shades I must say that I prefer that of this AmazonBasics set. Not warmer exactly -- they still are color neutral, but not quite so bright. These are a good weight. Solid, not flimsy, but easy to carry and hold. And the plate and bowl sizes are wonderful alongside the larger and smaller Dowan sets. Overall these are a solid five stars. Highly recommended.

High quality, low price, clean look

For the price, you just can't beat these. Great,.clean look, durable and sturdy, yet lightweight, and no chipping. I wanted something that was affordable, looks great and will last for many years to come, and I'm sure I've found exactly that with these plates and bowls. When I bought these at the price they're sold at, I was afraid they were going to be made of cheap material, be thin and weak and chip/break easily. However, and thankfully, I have been very pleased with the durability and strength of these plates and bowls. The only thing I think someone might have an issue with is there has been some slight spider webbing through the glass. Not sure if it's from knives or heat from the washer but I don't mind it and the plates still look great. If for whatever reason all my plates and bowls were to be broken or stolen today, I would buy these again to replace them.

Durable!

It's been awhile since I bought these dishes, but I didn't want to review them until I had used them for a good length of time. I can honestly say that I am pleasantly surprised at how durable they are. After a good six months of use, they still look brand new. The other day while washing dishes, I accidentally dropped my large mixing bowl and it landed right on 2 plates that were in the sink. I was sure they would be shattered. They didn't break. I'm not saying that they're unbreakable, but my old dishes would break if you looked at them wrong. I'll be buying a second set of these soon!

Great price for a decent set

I ordered two of these sets and they arrived packaged extremely well. None were broken upon arrival. Color is not a true white but not really grey either. They feel like a nice weight and overall should hold up well for everyday use but being stone, they will chip or crack over time..especially in a house full of men. What is nice is that they are cheap enough to replace when the time comes or if enough pieces get broken, it's also pretty basic so it's not a pattern that will become obsolete, that is another nice thing. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase but I will update over time if anything changes or if they don't live up to the expectations of basic dishes.
