Great for raising PH in Aquaponics
I use this to raise the PH in my 700 gallon aquaponics system. The solid form of this chemical is the same as used in liquid PH Up and similar PH adjusting products. A very small amount, less than 1/2 teaspoon. typically moves the PH up about 0.4. I also use Potassium bicarbonate to raise the PH and KH a bit more gently and Potassium Carbonate to raise KH. All three of the potassium based chemicals provide plant usable potassium while avoiding the water hardening (GH) of similar calcium hydroxide and calcium carbonate products.

Pure KOH
Easy to measure and use for drain cleaning or chemistry demos. Please wear goggles and gloves, this is the pure stuff and will eat your flesh!

We are using this product for my daughter's science fair product as the chemical base of her fuel cell electrolizer. It was nice to have a smaller size (as compared to a 10 pound box) and a good quality product to help her project succeed. Thank you

Pure KOH
I used this product to make biodiesel from some extra canola oil I had. The diesel came out perfect and the quality of the methoxide had a lot to do with it. I had glycerin and some KOH left over, so I even made some liquid soap with the byproduct. Now I'm by no means good at making soap, but it cleans dirt, removes grease, and doesn't dry out my hands so it's a good enough soap for me! Thank you for the high quality product and the fast shipping.

Fast and Pure!
Got it FAST FAST FAST... I don't have time or wherewithall to do an analysis. BUT with 35 plus years of "industrial chemistry" I can tell you this, it dissolves completely. And a quick test with the pH meter shows that for the amount added to the distilled water, the pH is exactly as predicted. ERGO "the pure stuff". Thanks!

great stuff for liquid soap making
great stuff for liquid soap making. here is an easy formula for making it with 8 oz. of potassium hydroxide so you can use the whole bottle without having a little left over later: 8 oz. potassium hydroxide flakes 34.2 oz. oils ( 24 olive oil + 10.2 coconut oil or any different mix and ratio as long as the total sum is 34.2 oz of oil) 27.4 oz of distilled or purified water. and about 14 to 16 cups of distilled or purified water to dilute the concentrated soap jelly into liquid soap. this part is all preference depending on how strong you want the soap to be. less water= thicker soap, more water= better flowing and better flowing soap.
