Great place to get your Mantis!
I have purchased Mantis egg cases three years in a row from Bug Sales and they have always worked great. Hard to tell when mantis hatch but when watering I will see them scurrying for cover. Has a bit of a mix up this year they did not ship out my lady bugs on first shipment but ore than made up for it by shipping a replacement shipment as soon as I contacted them. They even shipped me double the lady bugs to make up for the mix up.

They are great for kids to observe
Mine just hatched. I know about praying mantises but for those of you who don't, the company sends instructions. They are great for kids to observe. The company offers food for them too. I never use pesticides on my plants. I think praying mantises are just as good or better than ladybugs. I started using praying mantises just a few years ago. I was sick and tired of those pesky mealybugs. I haven't had to deal with that problem or any other problem since I started using praying mantises. Funny, I brought my Gardenia in for the winter and didn't take them back outside when it got warm again. I had an eggsack on it and didn't know it. So, if you use praying mantises and have a green house, you'll probably have egg sacks. I will order from this company again. I'll add some photos but I had placed the egg sack in a different container but the one they send is fine for hatching them.

Pray you see more mantis!
Buy these every year, even though we're finding our egg cases on our property finally. So many neighbors use mosquito killing services, it's really put a beat down on bats and beneficial insects like mantis', lady bugs, wheel bugs, etc. Bummer :-[ Do your part and revitalize your property's ecosystem by introducing natural pest neutralizers, like these guys! Make great pets for kids (and adults), too :-]

Awesome insects
The bag of ladybugs and cup of praying mantis egg cases arrived in good condition. I released the ladybugs the same day and most were alive. It took several weeks, but the praying mantises finally hatched today!! Definitely a five star product and seller. Great for organic gardening and a fun way to show nature to the kids.

The container is really easy to use
Bought this over a month ago and have kept the habitat on a shelf in my kitchen. After about 5-6 weeks they started hatching! The first hatch had about 4 mantis, but a week later there were over 100 at once! I look in the little screen window every day or so to see if there are any more, there are 5 eggs and I really don’t know which ones are hatching at what time... most days there is nothing, some days there are two or four, and a few days there have been 20-100+! The container is really easy to use, whenever I see hatchlings I just take the cup outside and let them go into my garden, And then put the lid back on and put the whole thing back on a shelf in my kitchen. I hope the little guys stick around!

Happy Mom
Still waiting for these little buggers to hatch but know it should be any day now. Be careful where you place them in your garden since birds ate nearly all of the little babies I hatched a month ago before they had a chance to hide in the plants where I had placed them. The birds went crazy as if the babies were the best thing on the planet. One more caution; if hatched in a controlled container, watch carefully because once they hatch, they start eating each other. Pretty nasty sight but interesting and absolutely survival of the fittest.

This was such a cool thing to do
This was such a cool thing to do! I got the mantis eggs and ladybugs to release in my raised vegetable garden, and the ladybugs have been hanging out in the backyard eating pests ever since. The little mantids just hatched this morning, and they were so cute! A better option than pesticides as we have 2 dogs. Everything was packaged well, and the little mantis cup was a great idea. I will definitely buy from again!

Look close because they're tiny!
Great experience watching them hatch. I hope a few stay in our yard. Lots of them hatched it took approximately 2 weeks to hatch. They are so cute. They are natural bug killers & very cool to watch! This reminds me of when I was a kid. I would attach the cocoons to a stick and close them in a jar with a lid & poke small air holes so they could breathe in the jar. Then just sit back, wait, & watch them hatch & set them free. They are so cute (for a bug). They definitely help with getting rid of pests the natural way. It's a great kid experiment. Kids love this stuff! I sure did as a kid. & even now! Think I'm going to order more!!!

Great deal and everything lived.
1500 lady bugs arrived on time in a nice little box with holes in it, my mailman delivered it to me early in the morning because he saw it was live insects which was very nice of him and he didnt want the heat to kill any. All of them arrived alive with only very few being dead, at least 95% surviving the trip. 4 out of 5 of my praying mantis eggs also hatched within a month, the 5th should hatch any day now as well. I am very pleased, all of this for 20 dollars was a great deal.

I ordered these to get rid of a infestation on my hibiscus and rose bushes plus put more around my garden as cyoa. We didn't have any dead lady bugs and they were all ready to get eating when we released them at dusk. By the next afternoon, my hibiscus was nearly clear of the bad bugs, and there were baby lady bugs a few days later. A month later, we've still got some in the area. The mantis pods haven't hatched yet, but they've another 2-3 weeks per the package. Very pleased with this as my hibiscus is now blooming again and looks much happier.
